  1. If anyone in the Swansea or Llanelli areas of South Wales need their heels re tipping then try D&A HEELBAR (look on yell.com). I have just been quoted just £5.95 to supply and fit a pair of metal 10mm tips to a pair of Pleaser sandals. I think thats a good price. They also do most types of shoe repairs and also cut keys for home and car as well as engraving etc. TO PHONE THEM SWANSEA 01792 345783 LLANELLI 01554 755776 :smile::pulsingheart:

  2. I wish they made a seduce 415. The domina w/6" heel is to high and the Vanity only has a 4" heel which for my liking is to low.

Almost had the "Polish My Straps" T-Strap shoe made by Office, but, by the time I got around to ordering them they were dicontinued www.office.co.uk

They have a few smaller sizes left.

the seduce 209 is about as close as you might get in the seduce range and if the domina had a 1'' platform they would be a lot more easy to wear
  3. Thanks very much. I'm on the 6" platforms now, about to move onto 7"!

7'' platforms are easy to walk in. my very first heels were 7.5'' platforms. i used them to do a 5 mile charity walk which i actually completed in around 3.5 to 4 hours. the are the same as my avatar (pleser xtc 826)
  4. I have posted a picture showing 2 pairs of sandals that I have had the pleasure of wearing. The black one is a PLEASER XTC 826 and the pink one is a PLEASER DELIGHT 609LN. I used a pair of XTC'S to complete a 5 mile sponsored walk last year. I had them on from 9.30am until about 2.30pm. They have a 4'' platforms and 7.5'' chunky heels but even though they dont have padded insoles they are rather comfortable and fairly easy to walk in. This was also my VERY FIRST time wearing any sort of high heel. They also offer good ankle support which is vital on this type of footwear as it is so easy to lose your balance. The best thing is that I never had any aches or pains and only 3 small blisters I have just purchased the pink sandals to participate in an unbelieable 10 mile walk in August of this year. First impressions are that they are a better fit than the XTC'S and they are also a lot more comfortable even though they have a 5.75'' stiletto heel and a 1.75'' platform. The extra comfort is most likely down to the pig suede insole. I just hope the heel tips can go the distance. I expect to be wearing them for around 8 to 10 hours

  5. And the 2 bordello styles on the left only go up to a size 8 so I hope you have a small foot...

I have the vanity and they are not that comfy, they tend to dig into my little toe...

Go for one of the sandals..

    Andi

The reason i did not go for a t bar is that non of them were available in pink otherwise i would of gone for the vanity, flair or seduce styles. i also wanted a lined and padded insole. i wanted pink for one reason. i am raising money for CANCER RESEARCH UK. i have now purchased a pair of pleaser DELIGHT 609LN'S which are nice and comfortable, fit well and apart from being pink they were also very cheap at £25 from nitelife. the DOMINA is a lovely looking shoe but i want to be able to walk again. just for your information there are 2 JOES ICE CREAM parlours very close to where i will be walking. i can quiet easily polish off a litre of the stuff YUM YUM:smile::blinkbigeyes::smile:
  6. i quite like t bars myself. i was considering using a pair for my charity walk. here is a picture showing a small selection of Pleaser t bar styles. i prefer the open toe varietys

  7. The world record shoes are probably best described as Mega Heels.

i would say that they were made to get publicity. you cant call 16'' heels wearable but it would be interesting to see what they are like (if possible) to walk in. i wonder i anyone who uses this forum has actually seen a pair before
  8. i seem to be getting an idea that it is not what sex you are that makes you able to walk in high heels. it seems more like luck that you get an inbuilt ability. it looks as for some people its easy but not for others. my personal view on myself is that i think i have this inbuilt ability. after all how many people of any sex do you know that can walk 5 miles in 7.5'' platforms for the very first time in any sort of heel without any bother? i do. ITS ME :smile::pulsingheart:

  9. the final results are much as i expected. my personal faves are sandals although i would consider a boot style sandal or open toe shoe. i dont like my feet being closed in and try and where sandals as long as the weather permits. if i was wearing heels everydays my maximum would be a 5'' with maybe a thin platform. my personal favourite is something along the lines of a Pleaser 109. i could easily go to 6.5'' with a platform around 2'' thick although i have walked in higher but these would not be practical for everyday wear. i have also posted a picture of 4 styles that i particually like

  10. its no different wearing platforms in public than a pair of single soles. the picture i have posted is of a pink sandal with a 1.75 platform and 5.75'' heel that i intend to wear for 10 miles to raise money for charity. would it of made any difference if i had decided to wear a single sole instead of a platform sole? as i only wear womens heels in public to raise money for cancer i dont think the sole type makes any difference. i find heel height more important. i choose platforms as it allows me to wear a higher heel. the sames goes for the heels in my avatar. they have 4'' platforms which allowed me to wear a 7.5'' heel. i dont think many people could walk in a pair of 7.5'' heels with a single sole

  11. i have never had a bad moment with super glue before but not long after it came on the market when i was still in school, it was not unknown for some boys to creep in to the girls toilets and put it around the rim of the toilet seat. i can remember 3 or 4 incidents of girls being lead out of the toilet wrapped in a large blanket with a toilet seat firmly stuck to thier arse to be carted off to hospital so they can have it surgically removed. now thats what you call embarresed. it was not long after that a rule was brought out that if you even got caught in possesion of super glue you got suspended for the term:blush::blinkbigeyes::blush::pulsingheart:

  12. I would tend to disagree there slightly - as would probably the Medical Professions. Anatomically - a woman's figure offers her a better centre of balance than a man.

While it is true that everybody's centre of gravity varies, if we talk in a purely anatomical sense, the female centre of gravity is slightly lower than that of the male. This means that they often have better balance, and hence, they are more naturally adept at things like dancing.

This is primarily because women have a wider pelvic area. The skeletal structure of women makes it so that their pelvis is bigger, in order for them to carry and give birth to children.

In physical terms, this means that along with a higher tissue mass, the lower body of women is generally heavier in comparison to the lower body of men. This makes the centre of gravity of women slightly lower, as the body mass is concentrated in the central lower portion of their body.

A more inherent sense of balance is one result of this physical make up and thus women often have a head start over men in this respect, particularly when it comes to wearing high heels.

Having said that - I agree with you, that there is no real substitute for experience - and there are plenty of women who do not wear heels on a regular basis, who struggle just as much as men when they put on shoes higher than say, two inches.

i often wonder why it was so easy for me to walk in 7.5'' platforms considering i had never worn heels before. it must be a hidden talent
  13. My choice depends on the weather. in the summer it would be sandals without a doubt with a chunky heel at least 5'' with a platform and in the colder times it would be a pump with maybe a 4' stiletto with a platform no more than half inch. both above would be without nylons. in extreme weather like snow or heavy rain it would be ankle or knee boots with a heel about 4'' and a small platform worn with nylons:yummy::blinkbigeyes::yummy:

  14. i have just recieved a pair of pleaser sandals only to find out something rather interesting. if you intend to order a pair of pleaser sandals take note that some styles have padded insoles and some dont. what i have not seen mentioned on any website is that the insoles are actually made from real pigs skin suede which is a big advantage as it will help to reduce sweating. for example. the DELIGHT 609 LN'S i have just recieved have these padded insoles whereas the sandals in my avatar which are a pair of XTC826 do not have any form of padding whatsoever which as you may know can be rather uncomfortable when walking long distances (if only i'd known this when i used them to do my 5 mile walk). they are lined with a PVC material which makes your feet sweat like hell. they are also rather slippery when worn with stockings. i dont know why some have padding and some dont but it would be great if they all had the padding

  15. I have just had delivery of the heels that i will be wearing for my 10 mile walk. they are a pink pair of PLEASER DELIGHT 609LN'S. there was a fair delay as they had to come from america and it did not help that the delivery to me was delayed by the weather. anyway i am well pleased with them as they fit great and they are more comfortable than i thought. this must be down to the insoles being made from REAL pigs skin suede. they also feel a lot for stable to walk in as the platform is less than half the height of the pair im wearing in my avatar :cry1::smile::wave:
