My ankles would not flex that far at first. I started with a 3" heel and it about killed me, then I moved up to a 4" heel with no platform and it is the limit I can handle at the moment. I am looking for a comfortable shoe with about a 5" heel for the next step. Once I get "stretched" in a 5" I am certain the 4" heels will be easy like the 3" are now.

I've had multiple ankle problems/injuries which required me to strengthen my ankles by doing one leg heels lifts on an incline plane.

Look up the Korean Airline Study on High Heels, lots of good ideas in that study.  Ankle care is paramount to high heel happiness.

There are several already posted in different topics on hhplace.

I too would prefer a longer velcro strap too.

I'm going to put up a couple of galleries with 3 - 4 groups, Wedges, Boots, CFM's, ...but I have to downsize them.

    Edit: here are some:

I don't think anything should be done in flats anymore!!!

I can think of a few

    - Downhill skiing (can't find those boots)

    - Walking on the beach (doesn't work - tried)

    - High hurdles

  4. HinH,

I have been lecturing my classes for the past 8 years in women's shoes, mostly 1-2 inch booties. For the past 2-3 years in HIGH heels. I discovered a 4 inch differential changed my hip-leg dynamics and took me out of pain. I might as well have fun and enjoy my heels and I certainly do! I had some extremely nasty things happen to my body, heels help me deal with one of them. It has never even been mentioned to me and I know the President and Chancellor on a first name bases

So that picture of my feet in my new SpeedLimit98's with was taken outside my house before I left for work.  Lectured 5+ hours that day and wore them for 12+ hours.

  5. Macky,

You are assuming the management would be against the SA wearing heels.  Maybe the management encourages him to wear heels, to help sell more shoes to male customers. Maybe they have a high number of retired heel wearers there in Boca Raton.

I had a male SA at Cathy Jeans that help me find some beautiful booties.  He then remember me each time I went past the store.

"which means about 30-50% more steps each day."  And that's a problem?   Lol

Yes! During a 12 hour day, walking 5 blocks each way between offices to file paperwork 30%-50% more steps does add up fast. I also stand and walk a minimum of 6 hours, YES! It also time, more steps means more time.

  7. Spikesmike,

For one thing I haven't ever found a pair of pumps that fit my feet.  My arch is high so the pump tends to cut into my top tops.  Even with the form padding trick, after awhile its just too much. I also walk a lot during the day, and a stiletto heel means smaller steps, which means about 30-50% more steps each day.

  8. Megan my dear you have been living under the gray skies way too long. Come out here to where the sun hits the surf. Wear your short skirts and HIGH heels and have some fun.  Last time I visited jolly old England some of my cousins didn't even have indoor plumbing.

    Anything else?

“The Sunset Pig,” was an actual pet pig whose owner ran a bar in Malibu, near Laurel Canyon in LA, where Joni Mitchell lived. Each evening patrons would gather to cheer as the sun set into the Pacific Ocean.

    (I googled it)

The best of both worlds!  Waders with high heels!  Looks like a lot of fun for sure

The fish never see you coming. Even better when you get them in camo.

As I've said in this thread many, many times before, if you're going to wear women's clothes and shoes in public as a man, then you DAMN well better look good!

Very wise words. That's why I wear good looking heels at all times
