  1. It has also to do with rain. I switch from open toe and sandals at about 65 F and then back out of boots at 60 - 65. But i have been known to wear calf high boots in the summer with my shorts on raining days - when I do I wear knee high socks, but I don't pull them pass the top of the boots.

I thought Maccas was slang for that Irish restaurant

Mucky Maccas is (Eastern)  Assie for that Irish Restaurant with the fallen arches.

You can't wear bikinis (into your 60's) if you eat there.

usually i paint my own nails but i'm thinking about having them done professionally to start my summer.  how much do you pay for a pedicure?

It depends on who does it and when.

I have a deal worked out for $12 + tip for a spa pedi and I take my own polish in.  That way I can "touch up" if I need to. And now this new polish from www.ILNP.com no one has it yet.  But when that place is close, I have my toes done for about $40 including tip, I have art done.

I'm high maintenance manis, pedis, ...

    Here's $40 pedis

Preferably a quarter pounder with cheese.

So now I see why you are so anti-shorts.

The side-tied bikini picture is for you. That's how us west coaster roll.  It's all about the sunsets.  Whose up to see a sun rise? Only worn-eating birds. LOL

I was surprised at the results, but the tips on strengthening your ankles are excellent.

I have posted about having ankle problems.  I wish I had gotten this advice long ago especially from the medical doctors that knew about my problem. :penitent:

    Thanks for the tip.

I even had a group of physical therapist watch me walk in heels of different heights.  They wanted to make sure that I was walking correctly in them, that my gait was correct, etc.  They conclude that I limp under 1.5 inches; that my gait was correct and I was doing everything correctly.  As a side note many of the women physical therapist told me that they couldn't walk in shoes with more than a 2 inch heel.

My legs have been through hell (dozen or so operations, I play HARD) so my leg health is very important to me. I stretch my calves and work on my ankles daily. I get Reflexology for my feet too.
