Another way of say this is: think of the ball joints of you foot is the center of a circle and the dot on your ankle the outside point of the radius. As the angle increases the corresponding height is the sine of the angle and that grows very slowing after about 60 degrees.

Mules are nice. Look into boots and booties. There are some very beautify boots and booties out there. The new fall looks in boots and booties come out in late August through the end of September.
I cannot imagine that I would ever wear the pumps in the third picture outside. Not only that they are too tall and change my gait too much but also very loud on hard surfaces.
That click - click is called the "power click" most of my shoes click, most women's heels click. I have learned to embrace the click, because it ain't going away.

Welcome!
Why are you a little worried?
The booties or boots in the second photo can easily be worn discretely outside.
Wear what you find comfortable.

They don't allow Wally World in my town. Nearest one is 20-30 miles away. I think I have only been in one or two WW's in my life.
Maybe he came to WW for his 'hillbilly chrome'.
And there is also the possibility that his feet are not suited for public viewing.
I had a friend with psoriasis and his toe nails were very very nasty...nothing he could do. It was for everybody's benefit that he wore socks with sandals. But now he's on Humira and his nails don't grow crazy and nasty and he shields the socks when it's warm enough for him.

Get yourself some Gel instep cushions that have the side that also sticks to the underside of your foot.

I like them all. Too bad JS heels have never fit me. It depends of the rest of the outfit, but I like the white pair in the top right. Option two, NEW SHOES, perfect excuse. And get those nails painted so they dry in time.

Thanks Gang
PS - no comments on the heels??
Minimalistic design, I like it, but I know I can't wear them. My toe box is too thick for that strap.

TBG,
Nice outfits except I not to thrilled by the white pants. They are too baggy for my taste...maybe if you were MC Hammer. And like HappyinHeels, you got me thinking about OTK. I love my wedges and get compliments all the time in them. Question: do you get a set of acrylics? I get my set every 2 weeks (with gel color).
OldMountain, I love sleeveless turtlenecks, have about 8.
I at one time had hair to low back but now I'm follicly challenged.

You can use the "Steve method", but also use thick socks at the same time.
You could get shoe stretchers, they come with "Shoe Stretching Liquid" that says to put it on the outside of the tight spot and walk in them for 15 minutes.

When you wear 4+ inch heels with shorts you are "seen". In the summer I do everything in heels and shorts. You have to have confidence!

Cali,
Thanks for the colour play-by-play! Triple thanks for buying products made here in the United States. So, did you wear the periwinkle to the classroom?? Did it match your shoes or toes?? I have to wonder about the beach walk. Did you actually go in the water since it never gets warmer than 60F/15.5C?? I thought Lake Michigan was cold until I experienced Monterey Bay in June. Yikes! Lots of "bay watchers" and not many bay swimmers :). HappyinHeels
The Junior Lifeguards were using the water, and I just had shorts on, so only went up to my knees.
Semester break. You don't know what cold is until you swim in a mountain lake at 9000 ft. with snow still melting into it

Toes are ILNP Peace
Fingers are ILNP Wallflower
But both are color shifting.
