That would be a worthwhile investment.  After all who, posting on this board, doesn't have more shoes than they can wear? :penitent:

We only have (at most) two feet, of course we have more shoes than we can wear.

A similar thing happened to me recently. A colleague last week who loves her heels talked about doing a day of shoe shopping in San Francisco while we are on break.  In a former life she was a fashion buyer so she knows her shoe shops.

Cali ILNP. The color is called Birefringence.  I got them from Amazon, they have several other colors ( which I have bought all of them ) if get a chance check them out.

So I had a pedi today and used two of the ILNP colors I purchase straight from their site. Four toes are Birefringence (H), the accent toe nail Ice House. Several of the women the salon was going to look at the site and get some of their polish.  Thanks Stoney for telling me about it. Two photos to show the color shift

    This with my new heels...lol

  3. I wore them from 9:30 am to 9:30 pm except I found out that I couldn't drive in them, so I swooped out my SM clog on the right foot to drive. You got to take smaller steps in these, comfortable all day.  But tiring for 12 hours because of the shorten strides, I walk and stand a lot during the day.

  4. Thanks TBG. You just can't pass up shoes that fit that well.  Besides, it's not temptation, it's an investment in foot wear. They're work shoes. I now only have.three pairs with a thin block heel like that.. I can see myself going out in these soon too.

The real down side is I need to get another bookcase to hold my shoes.

  5. This site might cause me financial problems.

I went shopping (looking) today and tried on these: SpeedLimit 98 Manji-H. 6 inch heel, 1.5 platform. Velcro strap - lol. Soon comfy that they had to come home with me. Plan to wear them to work tomorrow, hopefully get some pictures of me walking in them. But here's a picture of them w/o feet.

Planning a shoe shopping trip with a colleague to San Francisco. She use to be a fashion buyer in San Francisco and knows where all the good shoe stores are. This should be an eye opener. The Macy's there is the second largest shoe department in the company, only behind the flagship store.

  6. Those are my feet in a size 10. I might start looking at 9.5 then, but I don't remember if these came in that size.

If you like those you might like these.  Many companies sell these under their label.  These happen to be Bamboo, come in many colors, but tighter toe box.

  7. Congratulation on this milestone.

"Oh, they seemed so high back then!" made my laugh, because I remember getting use to 1 1/2 inch heels when I first started. Now like you, 5+" is just normal daily wear in public

Try using a gel instep cushion to help hold them on, one that sticks to both the shoe and your foot. Or use TBG's method and use double-sided tape.

  8. While I don't wear skirts and dresses, I  wear many women's fashions daliy as a man. I have many women's tops and even a Victoria's Secret pull over sweater. It's amazing how many people compliment this sweater when I have it. Yesterday I wore a sleeveless turtleneck (VS) under a sweatshirt (jumper), jeans and my Charles By Charles David black laser cut wedges(tall wedges) to work.
