I can fit into a size 10 sometimes, depending on the fit. I would especially make the effort if the boots looked like the ones you posted! They look great, hope you can find the size you need!

Checked two other stores and they had even less inventory, So I just ordered them on-line.They are just like the picture since the ones I saw in the first store was a size 9. I wish they had it in another color too.

    - Heel height: 6"   - Shaft height: 16"   - Platform: 1.25"   - Opening circumference: 16.5"

  2. I did a trial run on my Halloween costume over the weekend and found out that the skirt was rolling over. So I went back to the store to find out if a smaller skirt would stopped it. So I need a size 10.

I went to the large mall and on the way to Express you pass by a Forever 21. Since I have seen heels that looked fun on their website, I decided to go in and look at what they sold. So glad I did. I found some great high heeled boots with full zippers. They are cheap (under $50) Made in China boots. They had several knee high boots with 5+ inch heels AND full zippers. Two had pointed toes and two rounded toes.  I found a size 10 in block heel version and they were comfortable. But I wanted the stiletto version first but they did not have size 10 in that store. They looked thru their stock. They have they on-line, but I going to try another store first before ordering on-line.

These are out of reach for most of you since they only stock and carry up to size 10. Lucky I'm a size 10.

Has anybody bought shoes from Forever 21?

In other news, it has snowed here overnight, and the temperature has dropped well below freezing. It's too early for this. Time to dig out the longjohns.

Maybe it time for leggings under shorts. I have replace my longjohns with leggings and most of my sweatpants with velvet leggings. Wore long pants today for the 2 times since July.

what is the "costume?" Looks like normal clothes to me.

Woman Executive, hence I can't show the front. I don't go to work in skirts.

The knee boots pair very well with the skirt which is plenty daring with the rear slit (or walking vent)

Daring from you?  Wow. The slit is for walking, needed.

Found a better pair of knee high boots today. These are 6 inch stilettos with a 1.25 inch platform, knee high faux suede with full zippers. Unfortunately, they didn't have my size in stock. Their website does, but I'm trying another store in the morning, hopefully they have it. And they are inexpensive, A WIN - WIN - WIN.

  5. Working out my Halloween costume, back view. Detail time.

What shoes go with the outfit? Tall boots or high heel calf high or ankle high booties?

Nylons or no nylons? (BTW my legs are waxed.)

I found this fuchsia jacket, it fits great, now how do I work this into my every day rotation. Who says men's fashion has to be boring

Well @Cali - I guess that might be fun, yes. Are expensive heels that much more comfortable that cheaper ones?

I'm not at the stage though, that i'd be comfortable trying on heels in store

I haven't tried on a Jimmy Choo or a Louboutin yet. I have several that started around $300 (not what I paid) and they are very comfortable. I also have some $40 heels that are also very comfortable.

Funny, never really had motivation to get a pair (not that I could afford it anyway!)

But @jeremy1986 don't you want to feel what an expensive heel feels like?  There's fun in just trying on heels. I sometimes I take 3-4 hours and go shoe shopping, try on 20+ pairs. When I was at Sydney International a few years back with time to kill there was a Jimmy Choo store in the Duty Free area. The space was empty, so I went over to look at the heels. I wanted to know what a $2000 shoe felt like ON.  I asked to try on a pair and was told that they only had tiny sizes, under size 7. The sales woman couldn't even try them on herself. The store only stocked for the Chinese/Asian market. We talked for a while as I was wasting time.

  8. I started with 2-3 inch ankle booties. Bare Traps, Material Girl, etc.  There are very few styles I wont wear. flats (why hurt your feet?), boots without a full zipper - can't get my feet into that position to put them on, and pumps - I stopped wasting my time with them, they just don't fit my feet.

So don't kiss off a style until you have tried at least a few pairs in that style. You never know what you might find to your liking.

Shop in person and in heels, you'll have a better experience.

  9. Those Aliexpress boots are nice, very similar to my Impo Owney. 4 inch heel, .5 inch platform. Faux suede. They has a little detail on the side similar to those.

These are extremely easy to walk in all day (14+ hours straight). I got them in both black and blue suede.  Didn't get the red version.  You can cover them with pants as in

    meninheelsH.JPG

Or you ca show them off with your legs.

I plan on wearing my black ones with a skirt for Halloween.

  10. My wardrobe became more colorful once I stop limiting myself to one side of the store. Not only have I found more colorful clothing, but in some cases, better fitting. Sometimes I like the texture better as well. Some things I only purchase the women's version because they are superior to the men's and other things only the men's version because they are superior and other things from either

  11. I don't discriminate like all you others.

I love my ankle boots, my calf high boots and my knee high boots. I wear them all. And with high heels 4 inch +. Specially like wearing them with shorts. Going to try wearing them with my vegan leather skinny pants

I don't have any thigh high nor do I have crotch high - unless you consider by waders boots.

Are those even considered shorts ;-)

I, like @mlroseplant, like shorts that are short, not the capris they sale as shorts for men. So yes @jeremy1986, they are sold as shorts so they are indeed shorts. The shorts in the picture are some of my longest shorts now, they are even "cargo shorts".  I also have 2 inch and 0" inch shorts (aka bikini bottoms).  Some websites sale their shorts by the inch (Nike for one).
