  1. Learn some of the tricks:

    1. Stretchers are great, they come in many styles.
    2. I have "Blister Tape" good for preventing blisters and after you got them already.
    3. Save that thin high density packing foam that come with many shoes. Cut into shape and wedge it between your toes and the strap. I've seen women stuff tissue paper in there., looks tacky. The high density foam gives much better relief.
    4. Something most women don't do: buy shoes that fit to begin with..

I have a thick toe box so I will only get heels with adjustable toe straps or no straps. And I also have a hole puncher to add holes to straps.

  2. As a person that wears sandals all the time, I get regular pedicures. You can't display ugly feet in the public without causing some people to get sick. My hands don't work well enough to do my own toes or fingers so I must get them done. I personally like color and use my nails as 20 (very small) canvases for changeable body art.

soon he'll have as many heels as i do . (over 150 pairs)

So with around 300 heels where do you store them all? I only have around 60 and I am out of room in my walk-in closet, former office, but I needed more room for shoes. And I am again out of space. That's 5 times what I have so I understand how much room that takes.

  4. I have mixed results with Jessica Simpson shoes. Some size 10 fit fine, my JS Rachies, slightly tight at first. But 30 minutes in a shoe stretcher and they fit great. Then the JS Rollin knee stilettos, I got them a size 11. But these size 10 Raxens I was nowhere near getting my foot in.  I think it had to do with my high arch. I hope the size 11 fit.

The real trouble with Jessica Simpson heels is when they fit they are wonderful to walk in and so much fun.

  5. First a picture with my legs up, enjoy some sun in a friends back yard. New shoes, new socks, new pants.

My new Jessica Simpson Raxen arrived. Only the Red ones.  They didn't fit. But I love th color and had hoped to wear them to a holiday party next week. That means the black ones coming, also a size 10 wont fit either.

So I went to Macy's and returned the heels and ordered the size 11 in black. They don't have a size 11 in red.:sad:  So I will get the other one in hazelnut.

Hopefully the size 11 will fit. In the mean time they gave me an additional 30% off, so each pair is under $30.

    I just love this color!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. A woman can look very feminine in men's clothing or look very butch. It's just how she presents herself...the whole look, hair, etc. Not just what she is wearing.

I have been BUYING (not borrowing) from the women's section for years now. What matters to me is fit and how it looks on me, not what label or section somebody puts it in. I have been blending my clothes depend with how they look together. And my wardrobe is more colorful as a result.

Men's clothes don't make a man a man and women's clothes don't make a man a woman.  I may dress in 100% women's clothes and still project the image of a confident man. I fact I did it twice this week and had several comments on my outfit each time. It's more than what you have on, but how you wear it as to how it is perceived.

The only reason more men don't shop where ever they want to is because they are afraid of what others might think, a.k.a. herd mentality....Is that a manly trait?

  7. Pant Talk, great since I have just been looking to skinny jeans and leggings myself and am quite happy with what I found

Have you tried "petite" size jeans? Although I really like my short shorts (3-5 inch inseams) in the summer (and fall), I was wearing 32 and 34 inch inseams on my long pants. Hiding most of my heels. However a recent trip to my doctor's showed I had shrunk 1.5 inches, (you're lucky you only shrunk less than an inch).

This years shoe goals was to start showing more of my heels, especially my tall boots. Why have them if you got to hide them. But that requires skinny jeans, something I stayed away from. But last week I got some Express Denim Perfect Lift leggings in 10 SHORT and Levis 311 in 30 X 30. The Express legging and skin tight with a very soft feel and end just above the ankles. I had no problem with the pockets holding what I needed them to hold. While the Levis are skin tight until just above the ankles and end at the ankles.

. I assume they are supposed to hit a normal person a couple of inches above the ankle, which is a look I've never understood, especially if the pants/leggings are not skin tight.

Well I have worn the leggings three days this week to work with my Madden Girl motorcycle boots and some booties. Today I wore the Levis with my JS Rachie stilettos and holiday theme socks.  The whole shoes were exposed and the white snowflakes on my socks contrasted with the dark black Rachie. I can fully understand and appreciate this look now.  You really feel sexy in it. I'm thinking of getting some Levis 311 30 X 28 (the shortest) next time so I can show more shoes.  Just wish they had more workable pockets.

  8. I once had the sale associate tell me I was looking at women's shoes while shopping a factory New Balance store. I told that associate that I was looking form shoes that fit and men's shoes didn't. She then help me find what I wanted.

I have never had a DSW employee behave like that. I would have talked with the manager if this person had continued. More often than not, the DSW employees help me look for the size I want.

corporate holiday parties do bring out the ladies in heels,

Not only ladies, I'm wearing my sparkle turtleneck and skinny jeans/leggings with my JS Rollin knee high stilettos to my organization's holiday party.

New holiday socks with my JS Rachie and Levi 311's tomorrow with my Santa Hat. And tiger stripes of white, red glitter, and green glitter on a black background manicure.

Had to pick up an online order at the big mall yesterday and noticed a number of women in nice looking heels shopping.

  10. I just got a deal I could pass up, Cyber Monday.

I was search through the Macy's website and came across the Jessica Simpson Raxen,  $109 their standard price.

BUT they had a Two for One sale on them, so two pairs for $109 plus free shipping. Getting better...

But I had a 25% off coupon, so final price, two pairs for $81.75.

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I got the Black pair and the Shiraz Red pair.
