@hiddenheels you don't have to always buy everything. If you can gather the courage to try things in store, then you can explore without economic peril. 50 shoes at about $40 a pair (low average) is $2000. The other thing to consider is the space to house that many heels. I have 4 one foot by seven feet bookcase with adjustable selves and I'm out of room for more shoes.

Recently I have been on a spending spree, purchased 3 new pairs of shoes, skirt, blazer, vegan leather pants, sherpa, ....  Everything I buy needs to be able to be worn to work, the skirt was worn to work on Halloween.

So I had some time to kill today and decided to visit DSW for a walk around (bad idea).  I was walking down the boot isle minding my own business when these Jessica Simpson stilettos begged me to take them home, telling me how great they would look with my faux leather pants. So I'll just have see if they were right tomorrow morning.

@chesterx, 49 heels in 8 months, wow...slow down. It's time for you to become more selective in what you buy. One reason is its hard to rotate through 49...you never get enough time to wear a favorite very often.  I'm over 60 and just purchased 3 in the last 10 days (HELP - I need a heels intervention). But I find it hard to find the time to wear them all. With one a day I can only wear each one 6 times a year. But since I only work on days that start with a "T" (aka 4 day weekends) I barely have time to wear them 3 times a year. I mostly wear my Steven Madden wedge mules around town when I'm not working

I have painted fingernails as well and I get many more compliments on my nails than on my heels. Most will notice the nails and miss the heel altogether

SF - no mention of your choice in toe color?  Maybe if it was red, white, and blue.  I get 1 - 2 compliments a week from women and 1 about every 3-4 months from men. I think the difference is heel height, with at least a 4 inch heel mine are usually more noticeable.

Those will go almost unnoticed. They are like my out Bare Traps, some of my first heels, and 2 inch heel. Only one person ever noticed, a black student who said "You wear some fly shoes."

While I wait for the JS boots to arrive Steven Madden sent me $30 to use, so I did and order these stiletto mules Lure, from them.

I hadn't thought about that either until she told me. It sure makes sense. I'm planning on utilizing this principle this fall. Shop before Thursday and see what I can find. Maybe the only time they have my size in stock IN STORE.

I was at Aldos today and they had a size 10, but I couldn't get my foot in...They said to stop by soon as they are expecting their new boots in during the next two weeks, so they have them for black Friday shopping.

If you are also wearing heels you can get away with it.  A simple "nice heels" is all you need to say.
