Yah, kinda lucky. I'm only 5 10 so I'm fine at any heel height too. Just hard to wash the top of vehicles, heels help that cause too.
Also cleaning the top of your refrigerator and reaching the top shelf in your kitchen cabinates.

Timberland is a brand. @spikesmike you probaly never heard of them because they don't make stilettos. It's just too tough to hike in stilettos.

I know it is a longshot, a very very longshot, but you got to try for it to happen. Lately I have noticed some manufactures bring back a fan favorite. I'm also on a wait list for those Multi-ice look boots. They sold out very fast, even at $400/pair.

I wear a JS size 11 because they are narrower than other shoes. But I asked for them to bring back Rollin (my knee high stiletto boots), boots with full zipper, higher heels and slightly more ankle room. And a lace-up sandal. Nothing much. Let's hope they listen to me. 😄

It has been many years since somebody actually asked "why," and I usually answered as briefly as possible, "because I like them." Nowadays, the two main things strangers say, as noted by several others above, are "How do you walk in those/I can't believe you can walk in those" and some version of "I really like your shoes."
I get those two questions too along with the statement "I really like your shoes."

I got a questionaire/survey yesterday from Jessica Simpson. Some of the questions on the survey indecated they are considering larger sizes and shorter heels as well.

And now from the opposite world....small feet with high arch, thick calves and ankles. Just glad there is enough variety for use all.
I waited too long to get those dirty ice colored boots; but I'm on a wait list for them.

That’s awesome! Although I’m yet to brave a public outing myself, the overwhelming theme I seem to read here over and over again is that nobody seems to care what you’re wearing on your feet and that we build it up in our own minds! Well done to you, hopefully I can be as brave as you in the future 😁
Some are more obvious than others. Thigh high and knee high will be noticed. So get great ones.
The first time is always the hardest.

No that's Knotts Berry Farm near Disneyland. Hello Kitty is in Japan.😄

Walking up is so much easier than walking down in heels, especially platforms. I've told the story how my lady friend had to hold my arm going down a driveway, all the time laughing at me. If the shoe fits.

I’m a little sceptical of this. We have here in Britain - in Harwich, Wales, in fact - a street which vies with another street in New Zealand as the steepest in the world. The Guinness World Records people have studied both quite closely and the respective towns have employed teams of engineers and surveyors trying to determine the winner. Both these streets are in the neighbourhood of a 35% gradient or about 19 degrees. One of them is officially the steepest in the world - I forget which, it’s gone back and forth. I’m finding it hard to believe there are all these potential world record breakers in San Francisco and that the Guinness people are seemingly unaware of it
I misread the file, it must have been in %. But the steepest in SF is Bradford Street at 41.5%.

San Francisco has at least 11 streets over 31 degrees. I had to walk in the street, my platform stilettos couldn't handle that sidewalk. I wanted to look fierce at the meeting.

Walking on concrete is not always easy. I had to walk several blocks on a concrete sidewalk that sloped from the building to the street. About a 20 degree slope. Also exposed agate can be challenging in stilettos as well as polished concrete and wet weather.

Today was a strange day. First there was snow on the way in to work this morning. This happens once or twice a year. We could get snow on the beach tonight.
Today my “outfit” consisted of my black Ompo Owney (lshort) knee high boots (4-inch heels), a camel turtleneck and a leopard sherpa.
I had a women stop and tell me how much she liked the whole look and another one tell me how she liked my sherpa.
However, this is a heel site. On the way home I stopped at a sporting goods store. I needed new ski poles, broke one a few weeks ago. The male worker helping me in the ski area asked me how “hard it was to walk in them.” I told him they were easy, short only 4 inchers.
While I was paying, another guy came up behind me and asked “what size?” I told him 11 and they faux suede and cheap. He also talked about finding size 11 in boots. He definitely was a heel wearer. The store was busy, and I was in the process of paying for my goods. I had to move on after paying for my goods and never had a complete conversation with him. But maybe seeing a guy in high heels out in public might encourage him.

But there is a difference. I see you, @Jkrenzer, in long pants, but its another thing to wear heels with hairless legs and (short) shorts. I know first hand. The junxtaposition with a white beard might be too much.

What's missing is the wife's reaction to the facial hair. They usually have an important opionion on these things.
I agree, facial and smooth legs might be too much. Although I don't shave my legs, they are basically hairless now do to old age and taping. So facial hair and the hairless legs would look strange on me too.

I go high tech with a tripod, full frame DSLR and a programmable self timer - but I’m not shooting images of myself in heels. I shoot a lot of expedition stuff but don’t know enough about fashion shoots to be able to do a decent job of shooting myself or my boots in any kind of stylish way and so I don’t. It’s why I never post images here
Most here shoot their pictures on their phone. But I shoot picture on my dslr. That's why they are almost all from one place. My tripod is being used elsewhere. But you will never know if your skill set incudes fashon photography without trying. Besides there is no film cost in trying with a dslr.

Same for me. Except I will try to get rid of 2 before buying one! Until only approximately 10 pairs left.
That's an inpressive goal @Pierre1961. It would take several decades for me to get down to 10 even at 3 for 1.😄

I'm different than most here. I liked women's heels but had no longing to wear them. In the 70's and 80's I had 2 heels. Then in 2010 I dicovered my feet fit women's shoes better than men's. I had very few men's shoes and hated shoe shopping because nothing really fit. However, once I found shoes that fit, my view of shoe shopping changed, suddenly it was an enjoyable activity. I found the benifits of high heel for my body and now my walk-in shoe closet is busting at the seams.

No picture today, but yesterday I wore my blue faux suede Impo (almost) knee boots. I stop by the division office to check on my medical leave request, The first comment I got was "I'll been looking for boots like those." I explained they were years oldand I got the black pair too, but didn't get the red version. I was told "you should have got the red version too. The adminstrative assistant came around to see my heels and agreed that I should have gotten the red pair too.
