  1. Heelster and Dr Shoe, I have not seen any of the Military kind of boots yet, Dr shoe do you have any info on those? That is true they are kind of like "momma wears Battle boots" that but in a rural or country/you wear heels all the time and no will notice them. Fair enough for the hikers comments, where I am this means you are out hiking(I live/work in the mountains). Many different meanings of similar terms used for different styles. Mtnsofheels

  2. Hi Everyone,

I just purchased a pair Dr Martens Diva Darcie, I have been wearing around the few days. They also make a Chelsea in same heel.

I was surprised that Dr Martens produces a heeled boot in sizes up to 43 or UK 9. I am a UK 8/41-42 which fit perfectly, they are wider in the toe box as well as many of Dr Martens are.

The heel is 3", the boots can be worn with any pants, kinda of utilitarian looking which would allow any guy to wear these all the time. The chat about the hiking heel elsewhere should be compared to this hiking heel. The grip is similar to a vibram sole, heel has a pattern as well which is suitable for around the yard, to motorcycling or what ever.

So the long and the short of it is, these could be worn whenever your good heeled shoes and boots should not be or you would not want to.

Perhaps a good training heel for those guys who are interested in wearing heels full time.

I do have a picture yet but here is the link.

I will get a photo of them as soon as I can,

  5. Well the boots in the video do not appear to be any different in style to the summers Bootie series in most places this year. The talk of hiking heels seems to be talk. The Tory Burch boots look really nice durable, the other ones from Zappos indeed look like the boots which J-Lo wore a few years back as pointed out by Bubba. I tried to fine those ones but they disappeared before I found them. I would go for the Tory Burch boots for hiking in, just seem to be closer to the intended wording "High Heeled Hiking Boots" Some time ago another ad ran with a pair of "High Heeled Climbing Shoes" which seemed to be rather fun, but only a photo shopped version..... The mind wanders.... Mtnsofheels

  6. The Aldo's I think is a better choice for you. Pussyinboots has a point, unless you have a matching outfit or jeans/pants they could be restrictive to wear with something. Have fun getting your shoes! Mtnsofheels

  7. I have been following Rick Owens mens footwear for the last year or so. He had a really nice boots, a pair of wedge heeled booties for men at 620 Euro from Luisaviaroma in Italy caused me some thinking. They were really nice but his price is way out of line as with all his goods. I mean I like his stuff but with 620 Euro or now $1100 bucks for these seemingly common ankle boot, one can get a lot of other really nice boots/shoes. You can even get a pair Louboutins for cheaper(not by much though, but much nicer heels). I agree, low sales big profit is a designer label and mindset. However it must work for him otherwise he would be a lonely designer in San Diego still. But I think I would get a pair of Louboutins before a pair of Rick's boots. Mtnsofheels

  8. Hi Magic heels,

That is so awesome that you are still out wearing heels well into your golden years. You are a total inspiration! I intend to do the same for as long as I can in years too. You are doing what many hope to do, thank you being you!

As well as Bubba and many others who have worn their heels for the long term! This is so empowering for the rest of us.

TBG I hope the cholesterol test was OK. I had one a couple of weeks ago and the doc has not complained. I wore my 3 inch heels to the surgery!
