Greetings and hi to you Lizziepops. Welcome to HH Place. I have a pair of clove and hoof boots which were produced by company called Fluevog shoes and boots in Vancouver BC. The boots are called Grand National Boots and come in Red and Black with a 5" heel a side lacing profile. A couple of years ago they were available in a knee high and mid calf heights . These boots are really awesome but I think they might be harder to find now as they have been produced twice and come and go with the demand over the years. They are made in Portugal and are high quality items. You could call them or e-mail them and ask where you might get the Grand Nationals. I saw them on the web page I think in Nov. You might be able search some out on the web as well. Hope you can find these boots! Sorry I do not have a photo right now of them to show, will have some soon though! Mtns of heels

I choose whatever color by the mood I am in. Since my feet get stuffed into outdoor boots often they last for along time. I just got a pedicure done the other day at my regular spa, I choose a french with a clear blueish top coat which I will be wearing sandals with. This turning out to be my favourite, my stylist also liked the idea so much she has sold the same idea to many others for summer fun. I also like earth tones, coppers bronzes with additional flakes added. I like Opi products the best. Their colors change so often though, once you find one you like next season its history. Toes without polish, I can't imagine it ! Mtns of heels

As time more time comes along to me I intend to most everything in the house morning to dusk in shoes and boots. My GF is getting use my addional help, perhaps she will like a wife like me to take care of her, lol ! However cutting firewood with heels does not quite make it though. Has anyone found a pair of boots with a Vibram type sole on them? A few years ago they were the rage started by J Lo, nice mid calf brown boots and vibram sole except for heel. Mtns of heels

For heels it has come and gone and come back again with styles and fashion. For us men it has only getting towards a level which hopefully where heels on men will be fashionable as the fads and stlyes come and go for our history. Yes Kings did them however anyone throwing remarks at them were disposed of. It was also at a point in time I think which they did not have gender assigned identies with the shoes, boots and or clothes they wore. We are part of our history in the making for men in heeled boots and shoes, how exciting is that! Mtns of heels:clap:

Just read this article on Yahoo about new trends in heeled footwear which looks like an improvement for comfort from a shoe show in Las Vegas.

Greetings, I did the thrifty shoes years ago but now prefer designer shoes and boots. Most pairs are over $80 for sure and are a better fit. I fit a womens 11 which I am thankful for. Designers are: Gaborit Boots, Fluevog shoes and boots, Charles David and Cordani other varietys on Zappos.com Yet to buy Manolos or Jimmy Choos, but could be on the wish list. Mtnsofheels

Greetings Heelma, Wow the news from back then, I did not look at the date until the end of the read, it could have been now! Well I think the only difference is how we want to see our present time. I think we are well on our way to catching and perhaps passing those historical trends to being able to do this as much as we want. It is kind of fun to think what the headlines will say in about another 30 years regarding our styles gains in wearing heels today. Good article and cool to read about it. Hi Hoverfly, Thanks a bunch for the info and contact to the past thread, just what was needed. Awesome! Somehow I could not have imagined the godawlful duct tape job required on a pair of thigh high boots to overcome the broken lace closure for a night out! L.O.L.

I have several pairs of boots which are knee to thigh highs, now a couple of pairs have botched laces. I have been trying to find a supplier that stocks and ships long thin laces. Does anyone know where a person could find some? I mean the thigh highs are seemingly Kms long! Mtns of heels

As much as I can I wear nylons, be it kneehighs or pantyhose they work for me. I can't wear them always but as much as possible. Corsets are also in my list of things I wear, for shaping and to contain my belly. The 2 go together hand and hand. Mtns of heels.

Hi Nick, Welcome. I too am of the belief of spas and fashion for both genders. Jewlery and nicer styles which womens fashion give us are more for my tastes rather than the clunky mens. I hope some day we can just be as we want to be, that would be as close to nirvana as we could be. I sport diamond studs in both ears and do regular visits to the spa, just nothing like a good stress relief of having the feet being worked on. Boots with heels when I can. Plus having the support of a girlfriend does help for understanding and acceptance for who we are. Hopefully you will find some one who can share that with you soon.

Boots here are easier to go with, moderate heel unless I can cover them with a longer pant. Some shoes can be used, when in cowboy country heels on cowboy boots are dead easy but a more feminine heel will take some heat. Never know what to expect but that is the excitement of it.

Greetings from BC in western Canada. Great to be aboard this very friendly and supportive group of fun people. I have been a shoe and boot wearer for years as well, more boots in public and shoes at home. Luv boots and shoes of all descriptions, the collection of 25+ has its own place in the closet. With our weather in BC it is great boot country and less for year round shoes outdoors. The project now is to get pics posted. Thanks for a great organization and looking forward to participating in this "place".
