  1. That is interesting lantus, what did you hear about them? I have 4 pairs of Gaborits and they have been excellent. It does take some time though to get them. Iloveboots in Canada put me onto Gaborit and he has 12-14 pairs. Anyways Gaborit does a good boot, but we are always open for more makers! Thanks Pussyinboots for your info too! Mtnsofheels

  2. I have purchased a pair recently which would be feminine for sure, they have a 3" wedge heel. They are from Sketchers. These actually fit a little wider than other shoes I do like them though. I have also had a couple of other pairs, I did notice that the fit is slightly narrower, plus several have a more trimmed lasts which can be model and or maker of the shoe. But I have found that some of the sizes are a little smaller than other comparable sizes, but hey that is the case with most shoe makers. In other sports shoes, like bike shoes, womens fit me better than mens. So it is a mixed bag for anyone getting them, but colors and style are nicer I think. Mtnsofheels

  3. Really good point Amanda, and I like how you worded it. Quote, "You should know what it's like to to feel vulnerable or intimidated by other males in a public place. I think it's a good idea. " I think we males have a hard time to explain our fear of being caught or I think maybe it is the vulnerability and intimidation more than anything which is the fear. You and most women deal with that on a everyday basis, that is what we have to learn and in doing so we become more comfortable and aware. Thanks for putting it out there. Good day of heeling loswabs, sounds like a lot of fun and part of going out in the city with nice shoes/boots. Where I am in the rural areas of Canada, it is using ones own vehicle to get around otherwise no public transport. Mtnsofheels

  4. Hi aussieheels1, Good point and quite a task to think about. I have about 30 pairs of boots and shoes which I am presently owning and using. That of course is my nice boots and shoes not to mention many pairs of mens shoes I have plus work related footwear like ski boots and stuff. I think in the past I have disposed of several,12-15 pairs due to a change in relationships and updating. I have kept a few pairs of boot from way back but on but must say that new purchases and more interest in recent years have put me back to my present size of the collection. I feel and pursue my heeling interest more now that I have accepted me and my interests. So for the last 15 years more the collection has grown with a regular updating and changes. The climate one lives in certainly adds to the size of the collection, winter here in Canada makes for 6 months of cool-cold temps but travels and summer sandals are there too. Mtnsofheels

  5. Hey luvfemshoes, Really nice boots, they will be excellent for public heeling. What kind are they? I have wedge boots and some for winter but not in a sheepskin type. By the way, awesome to have a female friend to share heeling interest with, that is almost more fun as you can be open an honest about what you really like, or at least I hope that is the way it is for you. Regardless, that is a treat and good for you having a friend like that! Give her our regards! Have in your winter! Mtnsofheels

  6. Good conversation, and I agree with all of the last 10 posts of the thread.(did not back more than that in the thread) Education, acceptance for what and how a person "is" and communication is key. That would make it a much better place, meantime unisex shoes? I think just "shoes", high heeled shoes to flats makes no difference who they are for. As long as we enjoy what we want to in footwear. 7. You are a lucky man luvfemshoes, So your and her shoe collection has doubled with having the same size foot, or hers has gone down by a half....maybe yours too! Cool to have the same size though. My situation is not the same, I am a 10.5/11 and the GF is a 7, however my collection is bigger so a I am reaping those benefits(not losing half of them) but loose by not being able to trade with her. Oh dem lemons (dilemmas!) Mtnsofheels

  8. Great exchange 2sweetkittys and Histilletto, The 2 of you and all others have covered awesome points about "being", thanks for bringing it out. Id love to sit in a coffee shop or carry on that conversation with you guys, but HH Place will certainly do. Just wish we had the Wednesday get together in heels and coffee gig,LOL Thanks again! 9. Well so far I have both ears done, one diamond on each ear. I have thought about a navel, good to see other guys getting them too! I did not think many guys would be into doing the navel, maybe I will this spring.... Mtnsofheels

  10. I do wear one special one on occasion, but really can not wear it all the time. Would like to but it would be quite cumbersome in a ski boot. The special one is a silver braided chain my wife made for me, I do try and wear it during the spring summer though. I do lie them and toe rings so maybe I should do more of that.. Mtnsofheels

  11. Good post BobHH,

Yes indeed all those points that 2sweetkittys and demoniaplatforms have mentioned too.

1)What is pet peeve for me is that if you find a pair of shoes on a site such like.com or zappos.com, then try to find more info on sizing with the original maker it is so hard come up with the info. I realize different name brands sell different shoes to different buyers but it is a big chase.

On e-bay, one might find a Christian Laboutins but not in your size but to find if they actually make them in your size is almost a forensic case study.

    2) you find one type of Nine West shoe in the States but they not ship internationally and then Nine West stores in Canada do not even know the style I am talking about and can not get it. Not just Nine West but other makers as well, ergg......

    3) as mentioned before my reply, they only make a style up to a size 10, I am an 11.....some days I want my feet to fit size 10.....

    4) Not knowing where the shoes/boots are made; if I am spending $ on a pairs shoes/boots online I would like to know where they are made, might make me purchase them and sooner if I knew they were from Europe vs somewhere in Asia. We do not always have the right stores here to go and see them before buying them.

But as anything and especially shoes/boots of interest, the process of shopping is also part of the fun in finding that hidden morsel. But you got to admit though some days when seeing the "the shoe/boot" that is got to have now!, it would nice to have it now by a simple call or e-mail instead of searching for it everywhere.

Oh the fun of having an obsession.

  12. Hi JimC, Nice boots, I do like that style and purpose(warm winter fuzzies). What size did you get in those? They show size 10 as the biggest on Zappos, what size are you? I recently bought a pair of Fly London which had a material liner that are very comfy as well,They have 21/4 in heel, I was hoping for more of a heel but am surprised by the comfyiness of them. Thanks for sharing! Mtnsofheels

  13. Hi Candice, I think you might be right, could be because of our 5+months of cold winter weather in Canada, but even during the spring and fall lots of women are sporting more hose and tights. I guess both genders are wearing them, certainly the trend it seems. I was in Phoenix AZ in June a while ago and was shocked to see women wearing hose under nice shorts in 40c weather, they were also indoors but in that heat I would have baked. It is a nice trend I think. Mtnsofheels

  14. Hey 5.5 Thrill, Cool to be in Seattle. They have awesome stores there. The Nordstrom store downtown has a great selection as well mybe a clearance section. On 2nd Ave near Pine and Pike streets there is several shoe stores there. Fluevog is one that some cool alternatives, and a couple of other boutique shops. As well you would be near Pike street market which is a no miss spot and good for heeling. There is some good fashion shop with shoes further north west towards the needle along 2nd, 1st Ave's. Bellvue has some boutiques which are very good too. Have fun it is a great shopping and eating out city!

  15. Hi Truckrider, jazzym, Maximilian and the rest. Interesting train of thought. Your writing provokes a reassessment of why and what I do wearing heels and relaxing with femme side.. You are right we have both sides which we are active in some aspect or another. Perhaps complex is a good start or simply we have dug deep enough in our selves to understand that our mind is the biggest block from really show our uniqueness as a multi faceted person. I would say I am more comfortable with female friends to be who I am rather the tougher male counterparts but is only because they would be less accepting of me, but they also know little about the real me. I have extended that through a lot of what is I do for work when communicating with people, I would say how I am has allowed me to be more sensitive and feeling for more people's difficulties in overcoming their comfort zones or pushing levels of there abilities and risk. With my feminine side I am comforting encouraging and my male side I am taking them beyond their limits and bringing them back safely. Sexual orientation has been in question for me as well since playing either side of the personality can lead to a better understanding of both sides of the fence. But know I have accepted that being, or similar to many of us, as we are is just being me as I am. Unique and fortunate to be allowed to know ourselves and show others how they can be. Lucky! Great post!

  16. Nice job Elegant! The combination is really nice looking and the quality appears to be excellent. I am wondering if you could describe "steampunk aesthetic" ? I am not up on my terminology but curious as to how that fits into your look? Keep up the good work on your style, you are making a difference for the rest of us. Mtnsofheels
