  1. For me personally I would prefer a section to try on shoes in private, and in my opinion a lot of other guys who may want to buy heels would be the same. On this forum you're bound to get a skewed opinion as a lot of guys here are open about wearing and trying on shoes. I'm sure there must be thousands of men however who do not frequent these boards but may try on heels if they had the privacy. I think Nigel has the right idea, have a small area seperated off, and make sure people are aware you can cater to their tastes in footwear and enable them to maintain their dignity.

  2. The discount shoes have taken the lead. I did not expect that with the amount of men in here. Do men do to the discount shoe stores and purchase them or do they usually buy them online?

My answer is that since my wife doesn't like me in heels, it would be hard to justify high prices for something I will wear indoors only when she isn't around. I also have a family to think of before spending on "luxuries" :santa_hat:
  3. Here is my latest purchase. Black Patent Steve Madden "Steven" Mary Jane pumps. They have two straps, instead of the typical mary jane pump which has one. Beautiful and sleek. About a 4" heel, maybe 4 1/2". They are hot!

Those are hot, I saw some similar recently and thought they looked good with the two straps. I like the heel on the ones you just bought too.

    Enjoy them pumpedup.

  4. I hope someone has some ideas for this problem. The knee high boots I got from ebay have been stored badly, and when I got them the support behind the ankle was soft. It means when I put them on the bit of whatever it is between the inner lining and outer leather creases and makes one boot uncomfortable. Sorry for gettin over technical there  but does anyone have any ideas how I can stop this bit from being pushed down as I put them on? I guess a shoe horn may help, but I'm looking for something more permanent.

  5. Hey Dawn and Mickey, good to hear you are both still around. I really do wish Mickey the fastest of recoveries, and both of you take care of yourselves and each other. As Bubba says there are worse things than losing a leg, indeed a friend of mine lost a foot to infection, then his leg, but 6 months later he was walking on an artificial one so that no one would ever know anything different. On a brighter note, you haven't lost anything yet Mickey, and you both have each other still, so don't ever give up.

  6. An amusing little incident happened to me recently. After I had bought my knee high boots (low heels) my wife immediately gave me the disapproving look and forbid me to wear them with her around. Shortly afterwards we were going out, and I put on a pair of my mens boots which I hadn't worn for a long time. As we went to leave my wife looked down at my shoes and started to have a go, telling me to get those off now, etc. She thought I was wearing the knee high boots, till I started laughing and showed her they were my mens boots. But it also proved how much the new boots look masculine as she mistook my old boots for them as they have the same shape front.
