And one more:
The assumption made by all major department stores that all fat men (waist measurement over 36) are short (inseam less than 34).
The main reason why I wear women's jeans?
It is easier to find long inseams in my equivalent size (18-20 if hiphugging, 22 if not) than in men's sizes!
Being both overweight and short, I have the opposite problem, ie anything in my waist size (elephant) is made with a leg length of about twice as long as my stumps. Always have to have them taken up. Thought maybe I should wear higher heels to take up the extra length.

It's football overload, at work, on the TV and all round the shops. Posters, billboards, radio newspapers, and everything is all about football (soccer for the US residents). Come on it's just a game and not even a very good one. Even when it's not the world cup, newspapers in the UK fill the whole back section with football allowing maybe 1/2 a page for all the rest of sports news. AAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHH NO MORE ----ING FOOTBALL Thanks for this opportunity to vent my football angst here Firefox.

Sorry forgot to log in above
In answer to that may I state for the record, I am a coward where she is concernedor just say "Since you're the only one allowed to wear them, you figure it out! "

My wife has bought some thin heeled shoes (not too high about 2") and has difficulty walking in them. I am now supposed to tell her how to walk in them properly. What tips can you all give ? And isn't this a turn around, I can't wear them but have to help her walk in thin heels.

We all have our own particular likes discussed here in the forum, but what about your pet hates? I hate seeing a pair of heels which are badly scuffed at the tip. And also those people lucky enough to have heels which are left discarded in a cupboard with everything else crushing them. One other is feet too big or small for the backless open toe shoes they are in. UUUGGHH

Umm that last statement is a little deep for me but it sounded very convincing though

I recently saw a man in heels just coming out of a tube station in West London. He was with a woman, and he was wearing some black boots with about a 4" heel and 1" platform. Also saw a guy at a market recently wearing red "ladies" slip ons, not heels but definitely not intended for a male.

I have found women to be pretty indecisive about men wearing heels. My ex fiancee was a ballet dancer and didn't mind seeing men in feminine attire, but hated the thought of her boyfriend wearing heels. My wife has the same conflicting view, she doesn't mind other men wearing feminine fashions, and even says how good it looks (ie Beckhams sarong and mules) but is dead against her husband trying it. I have also found that many other guys have the urge to dress up, when given the opportunity. I went to a party in some glittery jelly sandals with a fairly high heel, bought for me by a cousin as a joke. And by the end of the night almost all the men had worn them, and most said they enjoyed it. But in the female camp, I was called a transvestite and asked if I was gay and also some more nasty things were said behind my back which I was told later.

Definitely would have to be stiletto pumps for me. Would wear some sort of strappy sandals too, and probably wedge mules ( my wife has a pair of wedge mules which I have worn for short periods with her permission and they are sooo comfortable)

Here's an interesting development in my household. My wife who isn't sure about all this "feminisation" has spent the last 3 evenings trying out different coloured nail polishes on ME so she doesn't have to take hers off. I have a lovely shade of blue on my toenails at the moment. And she has got me in her mules to see if the polish looks ok on with the white 2" heels. I told her that's a great benefit of having a guy who likes heels for her husband. Maybe this is a new ploy some of you could use

Maybe if anyone can find some stiletto heeled steel toe boots, I'd go to work in heels;-) Wouldn't risk working on the heavy stuff I do without toe protection though. Still envy you guys with the opportunity and the courage to push this issue out into the open though.

Stiletto heels are my favourites, and I would love to try walking in 4 inch heels. Don't think my wife will agree though I did ok in some 3" white stilettos at a friends house once as a "dare" I'm sure you all know what I mean by that (they dared me but I was willing anyway) I also walked in 3" stiletto boots (calf high only, sorry to disappoint thighhighs <G>) <font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: shyguy on 2002-05-18 22:03 ]</font>

I told my wife very soon after we started going out that I liked heels. She isn't comfortable with it still though, but oddly wants me only to wear any heels when she is here?? As she and I are similar in size, and almost the smae size in shoes, she always lets me try her new shoes on too. Only problem is she doesn't like anything over about 2 1/2 inch heels. I did get her to buy some 3" boots (block heels) but I have worn them more than her

Those mules are great Joak. Also loved your site, and that was what led me here, so thanks Joak. I hop no one minds a me too post to get me out of these loafers, they pinch a little.

My wife tries to accept it, and occasionally allows me to wear her heels, and always lets me try on her new shoes but would never let me buy my own. She also is set against me wearing stilettos EVER but she is aware of my love of heels.

question: if your nervous about wearing heels in public...why would you wear something like a stiletto boot outside? wedge or chunky heels are WAY more discreet
I don't really enjoy wedge heels, but also the stilettos were all that was available in my size to borrow at the time

Hello from Shyguy from the UK, I have been lurking for a while and congratulate you guys for having the courage to wear heels in public. I have only done so once and that was to a friends place in 3" stiletto boots, but it felt good. Well hi to you all, and keep up the good work.

I too like heels, but not any of the other "female" clothes. I have tried nail polish but as a mechanic, it's a bit of a no no as far as chips go. BTW hi everyone this is my first post
The High Heel Diet?

If only High heels made you lose weight, I've been put on a diet by my doctor due to high blood pressure and it's hard work. It would be easier to just wear high heels and tell my wife it's for the good of my health!!
