  1. Me too.... Those posts where someone just says "yeah I like those" are irritating, I usually try to stop myself if I feel a me too post coming on. Sometimes I look back over a post I'm about to make and delete it because it says nothing new, although one or two probably slip through when I'm in here. I'm going to be extra vigilant now I know we're being judged on our posts though

  2. I have 3 packages en route from the US via USPS, each with 2 pairs of boots or shoes. I've a fourth package on the way via Fedex. [7 pairs in total.] If a US 10 don't fit me, I'm in big trouble.

Cost of boots is small, carriage almost as small. Import tax will almost double the price of whatver I've bought. Welcome to Britain.

    What's on the way?

    and a couple more pairs...

    .....

Only ones I don't care much for are the wedge mules, the boots all look fantastic. I particularly like the style of the second pair, and the heel shape. Good choices, let us know how they feel to wear when they arrive (provided they fit).
  3. Reading 'between the lines', I think you're searching for something that is both acceptable to your spouse, and the members here?

Not really, the people here are great and all, but the person I'm looking to be acceptable to is me. I also have to keep Mrs Shyguy happy or things get tense. The opinions of the people on HHPlace are interesting, but they are just opinions, and there will be different ones from each person here, so I wouldn't even try to be acceptable to them all
  4. I'd say there not really Jeans and "T-shirt" kinda shoes. Smart jeans and a shirt maybe, but it sounds like you went out in actual casual jeans and regular t-shirt?

Hard to say when all we see is the shoes.

It was a casual look, casual jeans and t-shirt nothing smart. The purpose of the thread was to gauge the general consensus of heel requirements to be a streetheeler in HHPlace. There always seems to be a bit of competition or oneupmanship for guys in any activity and this has proved to be no exception.

It's great to hear the explanations for everybody's choice on the poll too, keep them coming.

  5. actually that's true, I was in MK with daleks (spooky) Dr. Shoe has webbed feet which enable him to swim but make finding shoes a bit difficult which is why he had to design his own. Several of his designs were used in propaganda videos made by the web feet society.
