  1. Since I had a day off today, I decided to go travelling. As I mentioned in the new shoe thread. I had a new pair of heels I was dying to try out. The weather was quite hot today. So I decided to do a quick morning outing while I ran some errands. And maybe a little window shopping. Finishing off with some lunch. The day went off without a hitch. I was not out very long as I said earlier. The weather got real hot, real fast!

    My outfit of choice:

    1) white tee with green and grey stripes

    2) darker blue jeans

    3) guess cream colored stilettos

    4) light brown sholder bag

Now here are some pics. The first is a pic with the bag. And the second is without.

And here is a link to a pic of the shoes only. http://www.hhplace.o...620#entry292769

  2. Greetings Mr. X :-)

A nice buy. I like them.

It is very hard for me to find a classic pump which is large enough at the toe box.

Can you tell me how they fit in the toe box ? Narrow, average or wider than usual ?

I never tried any shoes from Winner yet since they carry only up to size 10 (I wear 11).

Are they true to size ? I will give it a try. Maybe I will find a size 10 which is made larger...

Greetings to you too fellow canucker. I could be wrong but I though I remember seeing some size 11's at Winners. At least at my store anyhow. But to answer your questions.

I was actually suprised with the fit. Aldo is usually my store of choice. And in a size 10 there, most of the patent shoes fit small. Plus I don't buy from Winners often. I usually only buy shoes on sale. Usually all the decent shoes at Wiiners sell before they make it to sale.

So when I saw these I imediately thought they were going to fit small or not at all. I put them on and I felt like Cinderella. They were a perfect fit.. If not a little big. Not to mention how sexy they looked. I saw the little gap at the back and thought I would slip out of them. But to my suprise I did not! And the nice thing about the toe box is the nice anount of toe cleavage they provide. So your toes are not squished into the pointy part.

So far I am a big fan of guess shoes. I own a few pairs and they are the favorites of my collection. The are the perfect combination of price, looks, and fit.

I will let you know more when I take them for a spin. As I said before, I plan to wear these out real soon! Hoped this helped.

  3. I have a problem that I need some help on. I currently live at home. As a result, my love of heels is very much on the down low. And I wear them at home or out and about on my days off from work. Or when family is not around. I currently store my collection in rubbermaid type containers in my bedroom closet. I have pretty decent privacy. So to the best of my knowledge, my "stash" has not been discovered. I am currently looking at apartments for myself. I found one I like. I am a single guy. If all goes according to plan I will be in there by the end of the summer, early fall. I am happy because my heel wearing will skyrocket! I will be able to wear my heels pretty much whenever I want! The place I am looking at is the top floor of a 2 storey house. With my own entrance. It is a bachelor pad. It is pretty sizeable. But the bathroom is the only seperate room in the place. It is all open concept. It doesn't even have 1 closet either. Now heres the problem(s). 1) Family will probably help me move. So how do I transport my heels to the new place undetected? I think I can figure out solutions for this 2) Where do I store my heels in the place when I have friends and or family over? I though about some kid of locked cabinet or cupboard, but that would be kinda suspicious. Especially for a single person on there own. Any suggestions?

  4. Here is my latest purchase. The brand is Guess. Don't know the name of the shoe. I wish I did. they are a a basic stilleto, in a creamy off white color. They have a 4 1/2 inch heel(no platform). They were bought at Winners here in Canada. They were $60 plus tax. That is about my upper limit price wise. I spotted them days ago. I was immediately drawn to them on the shelf. I quickly tried them on and they looked even sexier on. I was in a hurry, and the price kind of turned me off at first, so I put them back. They usually stock just one in each size, but I decided to sleep on it anyway. Days later I had the money and was able to justify the price. I went back and luckily they were still there. I purchased them quickly. Now here they are in my collection. I definitely want to put together an outfit and take these for a spin soon! Here's a pic. Enjoy! I know I will!

  5. FINALLY... GOT THEM!

My fellow heel lovers, I'm so excited to share with you after a long search, my first pair of Christian Louboutin, Ron Ron 100s!! I now introduce to my collection what would be the sexy hand built Italian vehicle of my dreams. This is like no pair I have ever sampled, the quality and attention to detail is really everything that the ladies rave and die for. I completely get it and I'm hooked! I purchased this pair new in the box from a member of The Purse Forum who has a personal Louboutin shoe collection that would drain the color from Imelda Marcos herself, not even an exaggeration in the slightest. I don't even know where to begin... the color is a magenta patent and the leather is otherworldly. To me it seems like I'm hardly wearing them because the cut is so low in the vamp and the heel cup, the rest of the shoe just conforms to my foot and feels so light. There is absolutely no pain wearing this shoe and its easy to walk in. The heel measures approximately 4.25" and the overall fit seems TTS, my personal opinion. I decided on this style long ago because of the simple and truly classic cut all around. The shoe is a round toe design but I observe that its not nearly as round as a pair of Jessica Simpson Oscars or Vince Camuto Elaines, those styles are completely round and according to some make the foot appear larger. This particular toe box with its low cut vamp is a perfect combination that works to make the foot appear smaller. I'm not sure what else to say other than perfection. These are just my personal humble observations, I know there are folks out there who are professionals in the study of footwear and I yield to them. Overall I'm very happy and am looking forward to adding to this new collection, my next conquest... Decollete 868 100. Thanks for your time and kind comments and feel free to ask any questions. Till next time!Posted Image

I am sooo jealous! I have always wanted a pair of louboutins.

Posted ImageJust bought these from ebay

These should probably be in the boot thread. But they look great none the less. Have fun with those.

  6. Nice outings Jeff. I was drawn to the white outfit. It is my favorite of the 2. I also say this because I own a pair of white shorts. I find when I am wearing them I really have to watch what I am doing. Especially eating, like you did at the Hut. It is so easy to "dirty up" white clothing. You really have to be careful. Most stains and dirt are very visible on white anything, let alone clothing. More so than on other colours.

  7. I just picked these up the other day. They are a little fancier. Definitely not for everyday wear. They probably will not see much action on my feet anytime soon. But they looked great on the rack, and even better on me. And I could not pass up a sale! With all the in store sales and such, I ended up paying just over $30 including tax. Not Bad!

  8. Had a day off today, so it was time to travel once again. Today I had nothing specific to do so it was all about Mr. X, and having fun. For my outfit I choose: 1) white dress shirt 2) black leather jacket 3) black shoulder/camera bag 4) darker jeans 5) BCBG flat black pumps Most of my outing was spent window shopping and such. Of course I had to stop at some shoe stores though. I stopped in at Aldo which I usually do now. My favorite sales girl/manager was working. We had some friendly interaction while I browsed the racks. One pair of shoes caught my eye, but unfortunately they didn't have it in my size. Too bad because they looked nice and were on sale. Afrter a while I left empty handed. I stopped in at one more shoe store later in the day. I usually just look around here. Their shoes are a little pricey. I was greeted by the sales girl and noticed that she had on a nice pair of heels. I told her so, and she thanked me. I was hoping she would start discussing my shoes, but nothing. Oh well, maybe next time! We also interacted while I browsed. Luckily most of their shoes were marked down today. I found a nice pair of black steve madden peep toes. She fetched my size and I tried them on. They were too big unfortunately. I was slipping out the back as I walked. I thanked her anyhow. I proceeded to leave the store not seeing anything else I liked. After a few more stops I decided to head home. This was probably one of my longest outings to date, especially in pumps! I am still waiting for some kind of interaction on my travels. But I guess if the day goes off without a hitch, like they usually do, I can't complain. It is getting easier and easier with each outing. My heels are now a "normal" part of my outfits on travel days. Just like my shirt and pants are. I don't even think twice when I wear them. Now her are a few pics. Comments and suggestions are welcome as always.

  9. you can NEVER go wrong with the basic black pump which is always in fashion!

I agree! I have yet to do an outing with my pumps on full display, but I can see doing that in the near future. I have some skinny jeans that I have been wearing but not with my pumps. But that combination is killer!

  10. I have done some travelling here and there lately. But nothing too serious, until today. The weather was nice, and I had a day off. I had a few errands to run. But once those were out of the way it was all about Mr. X. I decided to hit up some of my favorite places here in town for a little window shopping. This included 2 shoe stores here in town. I did not buy anything, nor did I try anything on at either store. It was still enjoyable though. The day went off without a hitch and i really enjoyed myself. Now on to the outfit and pics.

Most of my travelling usually involves heeled boots of some kind. I think today may have been my first serious bit of travelling wearing pumps. My outfit was also a little outside my "zone". I had next to no article of "male" clothing on.

For today I choose a white dress shirt, black blazer, blue jeans, and these shoes, which are a recent addition to my collection. I mentioned them on here before.

And here is the final outcome in pic form. Enjoy! Comments and syggestions are always welcome.

  11. Here is the latest addition to my shoe closet. These shoes have a satiny black finish and rounded toe. They have a 5 inch heel with a 1/2 inch or so hidden platform. They are not as clunky as the pictures make them out to be. The best part is I got them in a thrift store for $17. And despite the low price, they are in mint condition. They are originally from Suzy Shier. It is a store in Canada that sells mostly women's clothes with a few heels and accessories.

  12. HI All,

I bought these today at Nordstrom Rack. It's the Jessica Simpson Francesca heel with 5 inch heel and 1 inch platform. First time at 5 inches. Feels fabulous, but need to be a bit more careful with my stride. Look so amazing with some off black pantyhose right now!

Those are nice! I am not much for platforms, except when they are hidden like here, and they don't stand out too much.
