  1. It's been awhile since I have had anything worthy of adding to my thread. But here goes. I had a day off today and felt like "stepping out". I had a few quick errands to run. But other than that the day was reserved for Mr. X and some window shopping. The day went off without a hitch. And I really enjoyed myself. I tried on a few outfits before ultimately settling on this one. -black ankle boots -white denim/khakish pants -plain red t shirt -black jacket -smaller camera type bag/carry all(rarely leave home without it now) Here are 2 pics of the outfit. One with the bag, and one without. Comments and suggestions for improvement are always welcome.

  2. Welcome back HappyFeat :-)

    Outfits 1-2-4-5 are looking great. (I really like 2 & 5) Well done !

But I'm not sure about the # 3 outfit...

Maybe the colors don't match or maybe the pink pants are too "girly" for your masculine look ?

( Please note that this is only my own opinion )

    Nice gray boots !

    I agree completely

  3. I bought these yesterday. I'm a bit anxious about the arrival -we are having some troubles at the local costumes-. When they are here I'll post some pictures, hopefully next week.

    13cm Heel

Those heels are gorgeous. And Casadei heels are not cheap either.

  4. Thanks for your input Mr. X. You said they were too small and your normal size is 10.

Did you try them in size 10 or size 11 ?

A female friend wear size 8 and she also complain about their narrow shoes.

Aldo got many nice shoe styles which I would buy if they were made wider.

Fortunately their boots are OK. Good for me because I LOVE boots!

I tried them on in my normal 10, and it was a no go. Most of their shoes and boots are ok for me. It's usually only the patent stuff where I have a problem.

    I love pink heels to

This is my new pink heels from Aldo

Those are nice. I am not usually a platform fan, but I don't mind those.

  5. Aldo just introduced their new shoes collection in spring colors.

I don't wear or own any pink heels but these pink pumps are driving me crazy !

It is quite unfortunate closed toe shoes from Aldo are too narrow for me

If they would fit I'm sure I would buy a pair just for their look !

I think I will visit the store and try a pair. Maybe they are made wider than usual ?

I was in my local aldo the other day, and I tried on these exact shoes. Not in the pink however. I originally wanted the silver ones advertised on the site because they were on clearance at my store. They didn't have any though, and I had to try them on in a black patent. I am normally a 10, and these were way to small for me! Any patent shoes at aldo tend to run small for me.

  6. Mr. X: Looks like the Rangers have my Flyers number so far this season. Still, it was a good game.

    .

That was a great game to watch as a fan. All the drama at the end helped as well. Offsetting penalties, and a penalty shot with mere minutes to go.

  7. Well, it's 2-1 Flyers at present as I type these words of wit on my iPad. Like you said, just business. Heh!

Well it's 3-2 Final for the Rangers as I type these words of wit on my laptop. Like I said, just business...lol

  8. Nice outing and outfit again Jeff. I definitely gotta pull the boots out more myself. I haven't done much of it yet this winter. I too am watching the winter classic. I have New Yorks goalie in my Hockey pool. So unfortunately, I have to root against your hometown Flyers. Nothing personal, Just business...lol

  9. What's their policy? I mean, could you place the order to be delivered to the store so you could try them on and get a refund if they don't fit?

You basically hit the nail on the head. Problem is, you have to give a name address phone number etc. And they call you when they come in. Being that I am still relatively "in the closet" so to speak, I am not comfortable giving out that info. I'd have some explaining to do if my mother answered that call...lol

I'm not positive, but I'm like 99% sure these are the boots in question. What does everyone think?

  10. Sometimes it is the little things that can make someones day. Today I was that someone. I was getting some last minute Christmas shopping done. I was at the big local mall here. I decided to stop in at the Aldo store which I frequent regularly. It was quite busy. And they had extra staff on for the holidays I'm assuming. My favorite sales girl was working though. She is probably a manager or something. Or at least one of the senior staff members. I am usually not there to with the intent to buy. But if something catches my eye I won't say no. She spotted me through all the hustle and bustle and proceeded to say hello and tell me that there was a sale on boots. additional 30% off clearance boots. I already knew about it but I let her tell me anyhow. I proceeded to look around for a few minutes. Next thing I know there is a tap on my shoulder. It is her! She says, "let me show you a pair of boots I think you will like". She couldn't find them on the shelf so she went in the back. She came back with a pair of boots I took a liking to immediately . How did she know!....lol They were grey but she said they also came in black. I was very partial to the grey though. They were about calf height and they had a decent heel on them as well. I asked if they had a 10 and she went to check. To my disappointment they did not. Too bad because they really were nice. She mentioned that they could be ordered though. She knows I do not order because I can run anywhere from a 9 to a 10 in size. And I usually like to "try before I buy". Even though I walked out empty handed, I had a huge smile on my face. I always get great service there. But today I felt she went above and beyond the call of duty. She basically singled me out of the busy crowd and gave me the same if not better service than any other customer. It still kinda bugs me that I couldn't buy the boots though...lol I may have to really examine my no order policy...lol

  11. I picked these up earlier today for $15 they are steve madden and are incredibly comfortable. I really needed a classic black pump and as my local filenes basement is going out of business I decided to check it out. These shoes were originally marked at $70 so I was pumped to get them so cheap. I tried them on in the store and only got smiles from the few women who saw me. After I went across the street to the womens store and got some great tights and a black and white skirt. It was a great shopping trip!!

Great shoes! Especially for the price you paid.
