kneehighs Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 kent was in town from Shanghai for the holidays so we were able to meet up at the last minute. First we met up at Barnes and Noble in Chelsea. From there we spent the rest of the evening at One in the Meatpacking District. kent Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Thanks kneehighs for meeting up at the last mintue. This is a last minute trip for me to visit NYC. It's so much fun to people watch the trendy crowd and their shoes (mostly stilleto's)! Not to mention we were wearing them too. Will definite go clubing in heels next time too. Now that i have street heeled in new york and Bristol. Are there enough people in Asia for a heely meeting? Next time, I will try to post earlier to call another NYC heel meet.

Dawn HH Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Very nice pics, Kneehighs. Looks like you had a good time. I like the looks of your outfit and the stilettos fit very well with it. You look very natural and comfortable in them. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
JeffB Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 kneehighs: Most impressive pictures, my friend. Your outfit was casual but slick. More power to you! I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
HeelD Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Well, it was fun meeting you last week kneehighs. It was a very nice meal and it was great to meet someone else with the same passion for shoes as I have. Unfortunately I wasn't wearing the boots I had with me (didn't have time to change) and I was in my trainers (sneakers) as me and my girlfriend were walking around Manhattan all day. You definitely have a good style when it comes to shoes and clothes. Anyway, you were right about DSW on Union Square. I ended up buying a pair of black stilletto ankle boots and a gorgeous pair of black round toe Franco Sarto pumps! Both are very comfortable to wear. There was also a pair of flats which unfortunately they didn't have in my size and a great pair of patent black CK slingbacks which didn't sit right with me when I tried them on but they were beautiful shoes! I will post pictures of my new shoes and outfits soon. I'm definitely looking around for inspiration now. When I'm in Manhattan again I will let you know and we should meet again. flavio Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 I don't know if it was the effect you've use to change the image or the camera moved when taking the shot, but the girl with black boots seems to have big feet! Like mine Flavio - Brazilian heel lover, now in France.
DeSalto Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Kneehighs Cool pics man! Nice black pumps! Keep on going and don´t forget to show us your new adventures in heels. DeSalto No shoe is better than a sexy pair of stilettos!
Dawn HH Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Kneehighs:-) That was quite an adventure and reaction you got from those guys. If the one had not dropped his money he may not have noticed what you had on your feet. BTW:-) I noticed that you have changed your Avatar pic. Anyone we know? Cheers--- Dawn HH. kneehighs Posted January 7, 2006 Author Posted January 7, 2006 I've been wearing my stiletto knee boots now for the last 6/7 days. Day and night. Other than a blatantly obvious "hey, look at the guy in heels" double take I had on the subway from a couple of girls, I've had absolutely no signficant responses to my heels. In fact, at Starbucks on Park Avenue South and 29th, I was chattted up by an attractive and friendly girl who was studying for her GMAT's. We shared a table (tables and seats are like real estate, a high demand commodity with limited supply). My heels were in full view of her, but I carried on the conversation with nonchalant regard to my heels and no mention of them was made. At ONE last night, I talked to a woman who was a professional buyer for Eileen Fisher. They way I met her was fun. She was wearing silver heeled stilettos with a baby doll toe. She had her shoe tucked into near her crotch at her bar stool. I asked, "Are those steel heeled daggers you are wearing?" "I don't know?" she said, then she started to feel them and knock them with her knuckles to figure out. She said, "Here, feel them..." lol When the coversation eventually turned to my outfit and after seeing my heels, she said, "they are from the mens department I presume..." to which I replied, "not this time. From the womens side actually. Is that bad?" (not that I really believe its bad mind you). She said, "No, not at all. It works" And that's from a professional in the fashion industry. There was another twin set of girls from Mendoza Argentina and Amsterdam. I got to talking with them, and they liked my outfit. Shoes included. After our conversation was over, they asked for my phone number and business card. I remember one time the girl from Mendoza looked at my shoes and changed her whole demeanor. From a relaxed spine to an upright feminine posture, from relaxing her chest area, to holding it out more. That was an interesting response. Feminine Style . Masculine Soul. Skin In The Game.
Shafted Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Kneehighs, Sounds like that girl from Mendoza suddenly became self-concious, or perhaps a friendly competition as to who looked better in stilettos. The other possibility is that she wanted to all of a sudden look her best for you. Nice one from the buyer too. Shafted, the boots that is! Dawn HH Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Kneehighs:-) You know what they say about girls---If you got them, flaunt them. And the best yet was from the buyer. What a great response. Aces high, there. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
Danielinheels Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 cool stuff, kneehighs. its always nice to read about your adventures - i keep my hope of starting again alive through reading your posts. new av, i see - what's going on there? Be yourself; everyone else is already taken. - Oscar Wilde
kneehighs Posted January 9, 2006 Author Posted January 9, 2006 cool stuff, kneehighs. its always nice to read about your adventures - i keep my hope of starting again alive through reading your posts. new av, i see - what's going on there? Danielle, if you can survive Katrina I think you could wear shiny silver stilettos in shorts down main street in Chicago. Kidding, but your spirit has to be indomitable and I respect that. If you're ever in nyc, let me know. We can ham it up! The new av is a pic of 4 woman. Its from a yahoo group that I can share with you in a pm if you want the link. Feminine Style . Masculine Soul. Danielinheels Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 I shall take you up on that offer! I don't know when I'll be able to get out to NYC, but I'd love to visit some day. As time passes, I'll make my trip to North Carolina to visit a friend in Raleigh and one in Charlotte, both of whom I've told about my heel-wearing, but haven't seen it yet. After that, who knows? After (finally!) making it to downtown Chicago yesterday, walking the Magnificent Mile, and seeing some of the sights around the city, I think I kinda like the whole big city thing. My only opposition is the inability to find good parking without going into a lot - in New Orleans, there was ample street parking for walking around downtown. I'm living with someone atm, and both space and cash are limited, so heels have taken a seat on the backburner for now. But the stories you guys tell around here keep the fire going! Be yourself; everyone else is already taken. - Oscar Wilde
kneehighs Posted January 22, 2006 Author Posted January 22, 2006 Well this Saturday I found myself at ONE again. Ask Pam or Kent, 85% of all the women here wear stilettos! It makes for some magnificent fun, especially when you are one of the people wearing stilettos. I got there around 8:30 p.m. because the bouncers won't let single men in by themselves past 9:00 pm unless a single man is accompanied with a woman, you won't get past the "velvet rope" doormen. Of course I was wearing my stiletto pumps. Add a black waffle textured shrunken blazer, black trousers from Zara that were immacutely pressed and my wrinkled Calvin Klein shirt underneath and I was good to go. So I got in and the first thing I did was order a cheese platter. It was delicious. I shared it with the bartender too. She was really friendly and even researched the different kinds of cheeses on the plate so as to educationally enhance our dining pleasure. This is what the dance floor looked like early on in the evening: I talked to this girl from Jersey. She was wearing some really hot knee high stiletto boots in a size 7. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/creditech/One%20Jan/daniel020.jpg Here she is getting me a drink. Thats the nice thing about professional women. They share the cost of socializing. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/creditech/One%20Jan/daniel021.jpg Yes, my ass actually looks this good in my jeans. Gotcha, I was wearing black Zara pants but I couldn't take my eyes of this girls beauty: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/creditech/One%20Jan/daniel016.jpg Can you tell which shoe is mine and which one belongs to the women? Here is what the dance floor looked like later in the evening: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/creditech/One%20Jan/daniel023.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/creditech/One%20Jan/daniel024.jpg Here is my black pump "copping a feel" from some hot blonde. This is soo cheesy, I can't believe I actually took a pic of it, but I figured you guys would appreciate it. Some girl from Toronto I talked to. I didn't even talk about shoes with her. Didn't need to bring it up at all actually, as I find is more often than not the case: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/creditech/One%20Jan/daniel025.jpg Feminine Style . Masculine Soul. Dawn HH Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Kneehighs:-) What a great collection of pics there. You really know how to have fun. Thanks for documenting it for us all. Do you wear pantyhose with your stiletto pointy-toed pumps? It looks like it in some of the pics. It would be interesting to read any comments told to you by the girls about you wearing stilettos. Got any? Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!

Do you wear pantyhose with your stiletto pointy-toed pumps? It looks like it in some of the pics. It would be interesting to read any comments told to you by the girls about you wearing stilettos. Got any? Cheers--- Dawn HH Well, I cut a strip about 1 inch wide from pantyhose that I wrap around my toes to prevent them from becoming sore, but thats all. As far as getting comments from the girls, I brought up the subject just once and that was it. If the other women noticed (and they had to) they didn't mention anything about my heels and it certainly didn't stop us from having fun and enjoying each others company. I didn't capture a pic of the one girl I did discuss freestyling with, but her initial reaction was negative. So, I took her on a tour of historical Europe, explained that stilettos weren't invented until after WWII, and therefore its nothing but a socially constructed stereotype that the high heel is for woman only. By showing that kilt wearing is actually a "masculine" activity in Scotland, she then agreed with my position that these are socially constructed stereotypes and nothing more. But I was having alot of fun and didn't feel like going into an equally heavy discussion on the whole "men in heels = gay" thing, so I politely exited the conversation while I was ahead and never talked to her again for the rest of the night. Dawn HH Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Kneehighs:-) Thanks for the conversation up-date. Then, except for the inch wide piece of pantyhose, you wear your pumps barefoot. Very interesting. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!

kneehighs Posted January 25, 2006 Author Posted January 25, 2006 Tue. night, Meatpacking District, Manhattan Dinner and drinks at Jean Georges Spice Market, drinks at One, drinks at the Underbar Lounge at the W Hotel in Union Square with this girl Of course, I'm in my knee high stiletto boots, Cloak military/safari shirt, and H and M pinstriped pants--like this It was just me and her, hanging out for a night on the town. The New York Times food critic actually gave Spice Market a three star out of a four star rating. Being that only 7/19,500 restaurants received a four star rating and 40/19,500 restaurants received a three star rating, I thought this was going to be a good meal. The ambiance was good, but the service lackluster and the food overpriced for the quality/value we got. I won't be going back. Plus, the waiter didn't even say "good bye" when we left. A good server IMHO will always cross paths with you on the way out, maybe smile and make good eye contact, and say thanks. From there we went to One for a drink. Then we walked to the L-train station at Eighth Avenue and took the L-train to Union Square. We decided to go to the Underbar Lounge at the W Hotel where we remained for the rest of the evening. What was nice is that I was wearing my stiletto pointy boots for our first time out together. Eventually, I asked her what she thought of my shoes. So I held up my stiletto and aimed it towards her leg. She ran her fingers over the stiletto heel, massaged her hand across the side and then ran her fingers over my pointy toe. Then she said, "Yeah, I think they are cute."...a couple of hours before, she mentioned that people don't even really notice the heels. I think my non-chalance about the heels helped actually. She did ask me why? to which I replied, "It makes my legs appear longer and it adds height. Since I have short legs, the heels produce a good overall effect." She nodded her head up and down as I was talking, so I knew non-verbally that she was buying my explanation. After that, I never had to explain myself again. Somehow the topic of "metrosexuality" did come up. I asked her if she thought I was a "metrosexual" and she said this respectfully, "Ya. First of all, you wear womens shoes. And you like fashion and you like to go to nice places and you are well groomed. You are well mannered, easy to talk to....(ooops my attention was diverted to the hot blonde in black pumps so I pretended to listen but my head was elsewhere :)" In stealth mode -- when she was in the bathroom -- I was able to catch these pics of this blonde beauty at the Underbar Lounge in the W HOTEL in Union Square. Thought you guys would like the view. A great night over all. And for you single Freestylers, have you ever worn your heels on a first date? Its a blast... You really have very little to lose and alot to gain. This girl wants to hang out again, but I doubt I'll arrange the logistics to do that. Feminine Style . Masculine Soul. Skin In The Game.
HeelD Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 A very pretty girl and great night too! Looking forward to going out for a nice evening meal and drink with my girlfriend at some point soon and both of us sporting some cute shoes or boots! How often do you go out now? Seems like you're out every night in NYC - being lawyer pays well I see! Heel-D - Freestyling since 2005
