I wear high heels in the kitchen - only low heels - because they're comfier than flats when I'm standing still my feet hurt in flats after 10-15 mins.

Same here - Heels in the kitchen is a regular occurrence - - - Maybe that's why the wife stays out of the way.

My shoes come off at the door, just as all visitors' shoes do. But even if I wore shoes in the house, I think I'd stick to flats in the kitchen.
