ilikekicks Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Usual disclaimer : If ya dont have thick skin, dont bother reading.. I had an accident in June with a 185cfm sandblaster. Damaged my hands pretty good. Lost a lot of skin and had to use enzime creams for a month in order to get the skin regenerating. Skins back and I FINALLY have a week to myself. Its not a vacation, but its ' processing time ' on the farm. I Reep/Harvest but dont have a clue on processing so.. I have some downtime as everyone else gets to ' catch up '. I took out my ' toy ' and decided to wear my new Aldo Boots that came today ( pics in the ' who has bought new boots ' thread ) . I dont get to drive my toy all that much as Ive been very busy and its a manual transmission. Having limited movement in my hands made it harder to drive so.. I just stuck with the awefulmatic daily driver. I pulled out, tore up the road. One never realized just how much of your tires you can really leave behind you when you have enough wheel-energy ( read : Torque ) to break the tires free. I went sliding ( drifting ) on some of the back roads. Its wide open country ' out here ' and one might see a house/farm every 2-3 miles apart. Lots of room with no worries about traffic.. till you pass a Sherriffs deputy with the speedo buried. I havent lived out here that long BUT, I have a unique vehicle. Its a 2003 thats painted in 1971 Ford ' Grabber Blue ' like the vintage fast-back mustangs. It has white wheels and a white hood.. its a small truck.. Not many matching that descriptions ' out here ' as most are ' work trucks ' that sit way off the ground and have huge tires. I saw the Deputies lights flash from across the intersection.. thats when I noticed him. I was moving so fast ( about 120mph ) that I wondered if I could get away because be was at a stand still and needed to get to speed.. surely I could put enough distance between us that he would never catch up in a Chevy Tahoe-big-heavy-suv-thing.. I made it up the road about 4 miles and there was the Sherrif. Just leaning against his big-old-tahoe-chevy-thingi.. Fuck it. Pull over. I can outrun a Chevy but not Motorola. I know the Sherrif ( he was at dinner when I first moved out ). Hes a good man but not one to screw with. Piss him off and theres a dark cold cell waiting somewhere.. He was laughing when he walked up. " Good afternoon. I saw your truck when you moved out here and wondered if it was built for looks or speed.. guess we all know now. You have your license and Registration with you? Hows the hands doing?" ' Sure do sir. Hands are much better! Thanks! No more bandages. Hope to be back playing guitar full time very soon.' I gave him the info and asked if I could step out of my truck as the seats really arent that comfortable ( Recaros with harnesses ). He said it would be fine " Go ahead. I know where you live " and he laughed. I exited my vehicle and the deputy FINALLY caught up to us. He came out yelling at me " Do you know how fast you were going! I clocked you at.. what the hell were you.. what kind of boots are those? " ' Aldos. First time wearing them. Its imitation suede. They came today, UPS delivery. ' " Are those like those unisex boots? Like those Ugly boots? " ' Do you mean Ugg boots? No. These are womens boots. Uggs go both ways ' " Seriously? Womens boots? " The Sheriff interrupted our ' conversation ' as he was walking back with my license, registration.. and a yellow piece of paper... " Dont go there deputy. We had dinner when he first moved out here. Family invited me over to meet him and his wife.. Nice looking blond woman if memory serves me correctly.. I dont think hes queer or any kind of sexual deviant is thats whats on your mind. " " Buy why womans boots man? " ' I was gifted with small feet. They are narrow. Mens shoes dont fit. I was also gifted in other areas my wife can tell you all about if you want to come over for dinner or a nightcap.. '. I blew him a kiss. " F-that! Have a good day " and he left. The Sherrif had to laugh as his deputy has never been in a ' city ' setting for longer then a visit. Hes ( deputy ) not acquainted with much outside of bluejeans and tshirts. Ive met the deputies wife once.. Being honest, she could use a shopping spree and a makeover DESPERATELY! I bet they both know the missionary position.. and nothing else. Good people, just very limited exposure to humanity in general. Not their fault. So the Sheriff said to drive slower while wearing my " racing boots " I get home and the ' Boss ' ( Head honcho of the family/grandpa type ) is sitting on the porch with his dog. I decided to join him and all he asked was " How fast? " ' Deputy didnt have a chance. Sheriff was waiting for me though. ' " Thought so. That boy aint to bright. He came round here one time looking for a stolen hog. Its a dairy farm! Aint nuthin but cows heffers and a few bulls here. Good kid, sun never shined on him though. " I guess that means ' not bright ', dunno, not going to ask. Went in, changed, was hungry, didnt feel like cooking.. time to go to the diner. ' The diner ' as theres 1 pizza shop, one Noco/redapple gas station and ONE DINER in town. Those are the only eateries outside of driving 10-15 miles for McD's, BK or TacoBell. Word travels fast. We went to town for dinner and the girls at the diner liked the boots. One asked if they were the ones I was wearing when the Sheriff caught me for speeding. ' He didnt catch me. I was being a nice guy and pulled over. ' One stated " I heard you liked womens clothes but were married? How is that? " ' Simple. I wear what I want. You wear what you want. Sexuality isnt what you wear, its whom you love. ' " That makes sense. I do like those boots though! Wouldnt believe a hetero guy would wear something like that but.. seeing is believing! ". She was great the whole time. Left her a HUGE tip! Food was very good! Fried chicken! Tons of batter, Country style gravy that was thick as syrup, Steak fries that were thick as trees, crisp on the outside, drenched in grease inside! Desert was pieses of cherry and apple pie, made fresh with cool-whip! Washed it all down with a HUGE glass of mountain dew. I really am starting to like it ' Out here '. Last time I had a run-in with a city cop while wearing heels, they didnt have many kind words. REPEATEDLY ARGUMENTATIVE, INSULTING AND RUDE. BANNED FOR LIFE.
Rockpup Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Hehe, yea, I do know Motorola goes faster then 155mph, and amazingly connects locals and state police. (formerly known as "JimC")

Heelster Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Usual disclaimer : If ya dont have thick skin, dont bother reading.. |||||| I really am starting to like it ' Out here '. Last time I had a run-in with a city cop while wearing heels, they didnt have many kind words. Welcome to "The Sticks" Sounds kinda like my neighborhood. I can relate to the duputies frame of reference. Got a real kick out of some pictures a local had of his buddies bachelor party (Third I might add - his previous two wives left him - can't understand why?!?!?) There is a local strip club out in the middle of nowhere, and of course that's where it was. Got looking at the gals, and I discovered that most of my heels were higher than theirs - - - not a good sign for me. Being that the local village had their big "Firemans Festival" over labor day weekend, the Demo Derby cars were all over the place. If you want to see strange ways to haul cars and combines (yes - the demo derby farm equipment too) to the park, that's the time to witness it all. Of course, there is always some idiot that thinks he can get away with trying to drive his home after the event - multiple tickets are assured. 120 MPH - - - A bit much for me in these parts. Too many deer and idiots - not in that order I might add. Good to hear your doing well.
radiodave Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Great story. Bummer on the hands, but glad they are healing. I can relate to driving an awfulmatic daily driver, except my toy car doesn't like highways very much.
AZShoeNut Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Gawd, I love reading your stories! Thank you for sharing. Life is short... Wear the bleeping shoes!
Bubba136 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Me, too! ( like it). Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
Guest Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 I love it. 120 in a truck? Not me. I have a porsche 930, about 160, maybe more. I got caught coming down from 135. He got me at 85 in a 70. I have thought like u. Back roads and I'm 100+? Nail it and find some place to hide though. I also thought if the wife is in the car, we both get out before he gets there, who does he give the ticket to? If letting him see my shoes would get me out of a ticket, I'm all for it.
ilikekicks Posted September 9, 2013 Author Posted September 9, 2013 I didnt get out of the ticket Heels2u. I had court for it this morning. 4 points and 350$ in fines. Wore my ' speeding boots ' to the small court house. Nobody said anything about them. It was as if nobody even knew. REPEATEDLY ARGUMENTATIVE, INSULTING AND RUDE. BANNED FOR LIFE.
Jimnj3 Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Good thing you weren't in Georgia or Atlanta! Or maybe it would have been better. I got nailed for doing 82 in a 55 zone in 7 lanes of traffic with someone passing me! How the heck did he pick me out? Anyway, the fine was $750+!! Went to court in downtown Atlanta, yuck! and the solicitor had a program that once a year if you get a ticket you can pay them off as it never happened!! No Points and no increased insurance costs!I took advantage of it and the fine, payoff, was about $300 and I had to take a AARP, I am old, driving course. I took the one day course at the local library and found I now get a 10% auto insurance discount also! for 3 years! Well that paid for my payoff fine! What a deal as the offense is nowhere on my record! I just have to stay clean for a full year. By the way I had my wifes car up to 139 MPH once and my bike a little bit faster but that was a few years ago. Nothing I own now will go that fast!I did enjoy your story along with the rest of us.Sorry my post had nothing to do with heels!
dww Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Not a great lover of speed on a bike yes, car not really trusty Land Rover will just about do 100mph downhill with a good tailwind on a good day. Girlfriends car different matter I am told it's top speed is 165 never tried to do it, one thing I have learnt is ladies and ultra low profile tyres do not mix, just had another 3 for the mot test. Few months ago late at night we were doing approx. 120 on the Birmingham ring road and was passed by a Morris 1000. life is not a rehearsal
Rockpup Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Got caught via radio with 4 other bikes, we'd topped out close to 160 (speedo said 173, but it was only a 600cc motor). Never got a speeding ticket or points, did get two reckless and a fleeing to elude. Big $ and two years probation. Thankfully they withheld adjudication on the felony so that does not haunt me too bad. (formerly known as "JimC")
hhboots Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Thankfully I had a nice cop one time drop me down from 36 over (I think I was clocked at 101 in a 65) to 32 over so that I didn't get a wreckless driving penalty. It was still a pretty expensive speeding fine, but not nearly as bad as a wreckless driving penalty would have been.
pebblesf Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 I'm glad your hands are healing OK...What an amazing adventure! You are an inspiration to all of us, thanks for sharing...D
