  1. Thanks, Steve for your comments. I always compliment when I see one nicely dressed and in heels. I am always out to put a very positive look to my heel wearing and yes I do get compliments mostly from women, but I have gotten them from men too! Happy Heeling, bluejay

  2. Just a short post about my most recent heeling event. On Wednesday, night, 9/19/12 I had to go to Kay's Jewelers to do an errand for my wife. It's always a heeling event to go to Kay's. I wore khaki color Dockers pants, orange Izod polo shirt and my Born tan colored mule/clogs with a 4" stacked heel. As I entered Kay's I was greeted by my name from the clerk behind the counter. I gave her the rings to be cleaned for my wife. Another clerk came out from back carrying several trays and I held open the swinging counter door for her to get through to the front display case. She thanked me and in passing looked down to see what shoes I was wearing. I walked over to her and raised my pant leg to show her my heels and said, " yes these are my Born heels and yes I still have my red pedi on my toes". I slipped off my shoe to show her my red pedi and she smiled and replied," last time you were here you had on heeled sandals that showed off your red pedi ". I said "good memory". I complimented her on her maroon color polish on her toes and fingers and how nice it looked on her. She was wearing flat sandals with no heels. As the other clerk had finished the ring cleaning, she came out from behind the counter and I noticed she was wearing a pair of peep toe black heel stilettos and also had a red pedi. I told her how much I liked her look that night. She thanked me for the compliment and said to me that she liked my heels and look very much too. (All the clerks in Kay's know that I wear heels and that my wife is ok with it too.) I picked up the rings and bid a good night to the two clerks. They replied, see you soon. Another nice heeling event for a Wednesday, night. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  3. I also wear heels to the supermarket and to Walmart I have had many a positive comment from women while wearing heels. Recently on a Sunday morning in Walmart if the food section I just had to compliment this woman about 45 on her heels. After passing her in a couple of aisles, I finally said to her, " your heels are very nice and they compliment your capris and blouse very much, you look terrific!" She was somewhat startled by my compliment at first, but as I was walking away , she replied, " I like your heels that you are wearing too and you look great also". I turned around and thanked her for her compliment. I also said that, we were both dressed very fashionable. for a Sunday morning shopping trip to Walmart. She said that she dresses up to go shopping where ever she goes. I replied that I like to dress up also and I like to wear heels with male attire and that my wife is ok with it. We chatted a few more minutes about fashion before we went on our separate ways. It was a great experience that Sunday, morning. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  4. Nice outing bluejay! Sounds like a nice outfit. A pic would have been nice. I have been looking for ideas for a white pair of pants I have. I just can't seem to fet them to work for me.

I like to wear lots of color with white pants or white jeans. Royal blue, red, hot pink, and black work well with white. I also like to match the color of my shoes to the color of my top. I get a lot of positive compliments from the ladies with that look, as I have all those colors in heels to wear with white including white heels in sandals and pumps. I really want a pair of white patent pumps but I missed the opportunity with Aerosoles "Tapestry" pumps. I should of ordered them earlier this summer when they were available. I tried a pair of Pleasurer's but they were just not comfortable on my feet, so I returned them.

Mr. X, give one of those colors a try and you will like it!

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

PS Thanks for your positive comments, I appreciate it very much!

  5. Just a short post of my latest heeling, yesterday Sunday, September 9. I wore white "Bill Blass" women's jeans with a hot pink polo shirt, my Aerosoles "Tapestry" pumps, with 3 1/2" heels in hot pink patent and black knee-hi hose. First went to church, where I got a great compliment from a woman about 40 that said to me "I really like your color combination that you are wearing today and your shoes look great on you too. Wherever did you get those shoes in that color. it matches your shirt perfectly. First I thanked her for the compliment and proceeded to tell her that they were Aerosoles "Tapestry". I bought them on-line from ShoeBuy.com and They were available in several colors. I also have them in red. I told her they were very comfortable to wear. I also said that I wished that I had bought them in the white patent too, because my size (11) is no longer available in white. She thanked me for the information about my shoes. She really didn't make an issue of me being a man wearing heels and to church too! That compliment made my day for me, yesterday. I made two stops after church, to the supermarket and to Wal-Mart but they were really non events and no one really seemed to notice my shoes that I was wearing, especially their color being hot pink patent. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  6. I wear heels to church often. I wear more conservative looking heels when I do wear heels. I do not wear noisy heels. I often wear stacked heels, and block heels but no stilettos. In the winter I, wear boots with heels also. I have never been criticized for wearing heels. Often get compliments from the ladies on my choice of shoes or boots that I am wearing. Even some men look at my shoes when they see me. I will wear black patent, red and white heels to church. God is happy that you are in his House and what kind of shoes you wear doesn't really matter to Him! Happy Heeling, bluejay

  7. I think it's important to give shoe manufacturers and retailers feedback that guys are buying and wearing their products, too, and hopefully in increasing numbers as we come out of the closet, so to speak. Doing so may encourage them to offer more choices in larger sizes, and more styles that are toward the menswear end of the spectrum (i.e., not super feminine hot pink stiletto stripper plats), but more conservative pumps, loafers, sandals, clogs and boots that heelers can feel comfortable street heeling in.

Another good reason is to educate the public. Other customers, mostly female, will read the reviews and realize that men buy and wear those styles, too. At first it might seem odd, but if they see it a few times, they will get used to the idea. Tolerance and maybe even acceptance will increase.

Finally, if a male customer reads the review, he might find it comforting to know he's not alone in liking that shoe, and he might even show it to his wife/partner/gf/SO to demonstrate that fact. If the review is negative, the reviewer has helped a fellow heeler avoid a problem shoe.

So I think there is more than enough justification to mention that you're a fashion-forward male, and leave it at that. I'm guilty of going overboard in the past and dwelling on it more than necessary, but I've learned my lesson and will keep it brief in the future. I will continue to state in my reviews that I am male.

    Steve

You are right on Steve. When I do my reviews on heels I always state that I am a male. See my reviews on ShoeBuy.com, Naturalizer, Aersoles and Easy Street shoe sites.

    Happy Heeling,

  8. just got these they are 5" pleaser the fit is great and I really like the look. I also have a photo of my fav. pumps

    Jetbare,

I like your red shoes. They look great on you. I also like to wear red heels as well as pink, royal blue and white. Black and brown become boring after awhile.AI couple of weeks ago I had some great compliments from two waitresses at a Cracker Barrel restaurant on my royal blue patent peep toe pumps with a 4" heel, I was wearing. There are women out there that like men in heels!

    Nice car too.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  9. SF, I also like to wear toe rings with sandals. I bought a cheap set of 6 rings 2 of each style for less than $5.00 from Walmart. I guessed on the sizing and they fit my toes fine,. I have had some positive comments especially with my red polished toes wearing my toe rings, with my heeled sandals. Thanks for your input. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  10. I disagree. Do women who wear flannel shirts, jeans and hiking boots feel the need to bind their breasts and don fake mustaches or worry that they're close to being butch when they wear such clothing? Short answer: of course not. I've gone out in a dress and heels----twice----and felt like what I was born as, a man as I felt no desire whatsoever to disguise myself as a woman. I mean, why would I? I simply present myself as a guy wearing clothing and footwear from the women's side of the aisle. No big deal. I don't know if I would be as colorful as Heel-Lover in terms of attire, but I have absolutely no problem wearing a dress in public. In the end, it all depends on the person and their level of comfort when it comes to something like this.

Right on JeffB. I totally agree with you.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  11. Steve is right on target! We had those great experiences a few weeks ago. We even had a great experience at the Naturalizer outlet store and the Nine West outlet store too. The clerks have no problem with us men trying on heels in their stores. I always get the best treatment at any shoe store that I go to , to try on heels. Even if you don't buy it's a lot of fun trying on heels! Happy Heeling, bluejay

  12. JeffB, Nice outings in your skirt. As I reported last winter that I have worn a skirt out only twice. One leather skirt with knee boots and a black short skirt with a pair of black patent loafer pumps. My wife does not like me wearing a skirt. This fall, I hope to be able to wear a skirt sometimes when I am out heeling without my wife. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  13. inquisito, All very nice looking shoes. I love to shop at DSW and try on shoes, I was there last night, Saturday and tried on several pairs but didn't buy any because no pair said to me "take me home". I always get great service there and DSW has no problems with men trying and buying their shoes to wear, A few weeks ago I was there with fellow heeler Steve63130 and we got several compliments from other women shoppers there about our heels. This one bubbly young woman told us that she thought it was really neat to see men wearing heels and she was cool with it. We both told her that our wives were ok with too. In fact Steve's wife was with us at the time, at DSW Happy Heeling, bluejay

  14. JeffB, You had a nice outing in heels and a skirt. Your outfit looked good. I also enjoyed a nice outing this morning, Sunday too. I was in my wedge heel sandals with a pair of white Dockers pants and a black camp shirt. Read my report on "Heeling with bluejay" thread. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  15. SF, Thanks for your comments,. I really appreciate them very much. An yes I do love heeling very much and I do it as often as I can. Happy Heeling, bluejay Sunday, August 19, 2012 Today was another heeling event for me., I chose to wear white Dockers dress pants with a black camp shirt, my white "Rivera" wedge heel (3 1/2") sandals and because it was cool this early morning 55* I wore a pair of black knee-hi sheer hose. I usually don't wear hose with sandals, but I come to like the look of it too!, My red polished toes are quite visible too with the hose on. After going to Church, I headed to the supermarket to do some shopping. I did get a couple of stares but nothing negative at all., The head cashier who sees me in heels often, complimented me on my appearance this morning. The clerks in the bakery department also like my look. I got a thumbs up from two of them. I next stopped at Walmart to get some things. I was greeted by the lady greeter that is usually there on Sunday mornings. She was there and looked me up and down as usual and told me how nice I looked, this morning. I thanked her for the compliment and went about my shopping. Nothing unusual took place while I was in the store. Upon returning to my car I did get a comment from a young guy driving by me who said with a sarcastic tone "pretty shoes you have on , sir". I replied I like them very much and my wife is ok with my shoes too. Nothing more said., Oh well not everyone likes to see a man in heels. I always walk with confidence. That makes the difference! Another nice heeling event for me. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  16. Hi everyone, Just a short post about my heeling tonight. I wore dark brown Dockers pants shortened to a cropped length (4" above my ankle) with a coral colored Izod polo shirt, and my Naturalizer "Daquiri" natural canvas colored sandals with a 4" heel. My sandals are very comfy to wear and I have been wearing them a lot this summer. I had to go to Kay's Jewelers for some jewelery cleaning before I go out of town next week. I walked in and was warmly greeted by the staff. They have seen me in heels many times and they all gather around me to look at my shoes. Always nice compliments from the ladies. Tonight was no exception. A newer girl about 30 asked about my red pedi on my toes. She complimented me on my daring look. I even showed her my little pinkies that I had painted red just for tonight. I keep the nail longer on those two fingers. All the other ladies liked the look, because I wear so much jewelery from Kay's. I made sure that they saw my anklet which matched my bracelet and necklace that I was wearing. We talked for about 15 minutes mostly about fashions. When they finished with the cleaning of my jewelery and also some of my wife's too, I thanked them and bid them all a good evening. I had to stop at Walmart to get a couple of things. I got a few stares and I heard some comments about my appearance but I took it all in stride and walked about proudly in my heels! On my way home I decided to treat myself with an ice cream cone. I stopped, walked up to the window gave my order for a cherry/vanilla twist soft serve cone. I turned around and I saw a woman pointing at my shoes to her husband (they were in their 50's). I walked next to them and said, "do you like my shoes, I love to wear heels and my wife is ok with it too". They didn't say a thing but I smiled and said "have a nice night" and sat on a bench enjoying my ice cream! Another nice night out wearing heels! Happy Heeling, bluejay

  17. ilikekicks, Since we are from the same area. I would like to know where your s/o bought those white platform pumps for you. I want a pair too, to wear before summer ends and and we have to go back to black. Let me know, thanks. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  18. Ive had these for a month, first time out in them. They are made by ' Guess ' and were a gift from the other half. Im not a platform kind of guy but these are sort of ' ok '. I like the way they look, but I prefer a classical stiletto or wedge heel with no platform at all.

They were a gift, had to wear them out to be respectful. ;)

EDIT : YES, Im holding up my elastic waisted pants in the middle picture. Weightloss sux ! :(

I like the look of those white shoes. They look very nice on you! They are a summer treat, wear them proudly.

    Happy Heeling,

  19. I was in Payless tonight and tried on several pair of heels. There was a good selection of 11's, 12's and some 13's. I didn't buy but had fun trying on heels myself. The clerks were ok with it since I already was in heels when I came into the store. The clerks were very comfortable with me a man trying on heels in the store and walking all about in them! Happy Heeling, bluejay

  20. Tonight, I had to go to the Sally Beauty supply store to get some 100% Acetone to remove polish. I have long nails on my little fingers. I sometimes put red polish on them to match my toes, so tonight I did my little pinkies in red. The clerk noticed but was more interested in my red toes and my Naturalizer 3-1/2" heeled sandals I was wearing. I told her that I was very comfortable with what I was wearing tonight! Happy Heeling, bluejay
