Nice looking shoes. They look good on you too. I have a couple pair's of plats, but my heels are less stiletto and more of a stacked look. A little easier to wear for me. Happy Heeling, bluejay

Keep on heeling. The more heeling you do the more you will like to heel. I sure do! Happy Heeling, bluejay

I slingfan,
To me a slingback sandal with the strap slipped of is similar to a mule shoe. Women walk in high heels mules as well. I tried it is not a big deal.
Regards.
I like to wear mules. I call them slides. They are sexy and fun to wear. With a stacked heel I can easily walk and wear a 4" slide for long periods of time. I am not a fan of slingbacks. This time of year I like to wear slides with open toes so that my red polished toes show!

THBG, Thanks for the sermonette. I 'm with you. If you don't want your heels to be seen, then don't wear heels in public. I like to show off my heels in public, that's why I wear them! Happy Heeling, bluejay

I voted for zipped, but my vote ended on the laced count. There is a problem with the count. The numbers for zipped and laced must be reversed. Maybe it can be straightened out. I would never wear a pair of laced boots, I hate the look. I liked zipped or pull on types. Happy Heeling, bluejay

Ankle chains and fullrings for the toes look terrific in the summer when worn with stiletto sandals, wedges or flip-flops. I used to think there was some significance in which ankle [left or right] you wore the chain on, but those interesting days seem to be long gone!
I like to wear anklets with my heels. I always wear mine on my right leg and have always done so that way. I see women that wear them on either ankle. And I have seen many men wearing anklets too!

Steve, I am glad that Naturalizer finally posted your review of the "Daquiri" sandals. Happy Heeling, bluejay

HBheels, Very nice pictures of your shoes. The first picture also shows that you have nice looking legs too. In picture #2 , I see that you have your jeans rolled up, which is very much in fashion today with women. I am going to try that look myself. I already wear carpis and cropped pants so that look will fit in too. Keep the pictures coming! Happy Heeling, bluejay

THBG, Another nice outing. I liked your look in the picture. Now that Memorial Day has come and gone. WHITE is a very appropriate for summer wearing, thigh boots included! Happy Heeling, bluejay

To me black hose goes well with red. white and pink heels. And also black of course.
Chorlini,
I agree with you. I wear black hose very often. I do not like nude color hose. With brown I wear coffee colored hose or dark brown, With blue shoes, navy or royal, I wear navy colored hose. I like black hose with, black, red, pink and yes white shoes too! That's my preference.

Another Heeling Event Sunday, June 2, 2012 Today I wore off white Dockers golf pants, with a med blue window pane pattern shirt and and matching tie and a bright royal blue blazer. I paired this with my Georgio Brutini royal blue loafers and navy blue knee-hi hose. As usual, first was to church and then some errands. I did get several comments on my color choices this morning, all very positive. One woman told me on her way in and way out of church, how much she liked my matching blazer and shoes, two compliments from the same woman, this morning. After church I changed into a pair of peep toe platform pumps in royal blue patent (Modo Spana from DSW, that I bought last fall on clearance) They have a 4" heel and a 3/4" platform. I did keep the navy knee-hi's on. It looked fine and covered the open vamp and my red polished toes were still somewhat visible. First stop, after church was to the supermarket. It's become customary to stop at the bakery first so they can all see what I am wearing. This morning was no different. I received several compliments about my dress, but I think my shoes went unnoticed until one of the women said "I like your shoes too" So all 3 or 4 bakery personal looked at my shoes. I thanked them for their positive comments and one replied "We look forward to seeing on, Sundays to see what you are wearing, you are always dressed so fashionably. I thanked her and went on with my shopping. As I neared the check-out the head cashier greeted me (we are on a first name basis) and said " I was looking, great" . We chatted for a minute or so, but the store was busy and she had to take care of business. I went through the check-out line paid for my purchase and headed out to the exit, when I heard a woman;'s voice behind me say to companion, "look at him he is wearing, heels". I turned around and smiled at them and said, "I like to wear heels and my wife is ok with it". Nothing more was said and I continued on my way out the door. Next stop was to Wal-Mart, to get some needed items from office supplies department and some health and beauty items. I was greeted by the usual, Sunday, morning greeter (woman) who never fails to comment on my appearance. This morning was no different. She said that she liked my choice of colors this morning, even my matching shoes to my blazer. I lifted my pant leg to reveal my whole heel and she replied " I couldn't even walk in heels that high, how to you do it?" I replied that " I don't always wear this high of a heel, but this morning I wanted the color of my shoes to match the color of my blazer". She said that I made a great choice. I continued on into the store, it was not very crowded this Sunday, morning. I did get a few stares but no comments. I picked up my items, headed to the check-out. The line I was in had a young female cashier, probably in her twenties. I noticed her fine nail art on her fingers and paid her a compliment of her pretty looking nails. She blushed a bit and thanked me for the compliment. I asked her if she did the manicure, she said it was professionally done. I said again that they looked very nice on her as I left her register, upon which she replied " You are dressed very nice, yourself". I thanked her for the compliment and left the store. I had two other short stops this morning, but nothing unusual took place, about my appearance. Another nice heeling event! Happy Heeling, bluejay

In my continuing adventures at work, I had another lady ask me today about my heels. I told her I was ahead of the fashion curve
Nice response to that co-worker. The more you wear heels the more comfortable you will become wearing them. There are women out there that are ok with men in heels. I have had my share of positive comments while wearing, MY HEELS from many women. Keep on heeling!

My home state of Maine in the US has been a great place to wear high heels (stilettos in my case). I've been to New York and all over Italy and France in stilettos and never had any problem.
As far as meeting the perfect mate, it's always better in high heels. Show them what they are getting right up front. If you take care to project a good image you will attract women even if you are not actively looking. Women seem to take the initiative when they see a guy wearing high heels for some reason (at least in my case). I've had several woman strike up a conversation with me with my heels in plain sight (not a word said about my heels, but just good friendly conversation). I've even been hit on on more than one occasion while wearing heels.
Shafted,
I agree with your comments 100%. Where I live in upstate New York, I frequently get positive comments about the clothes I wear and my heels from the ladies. I always make positive comments to women who are fashionably dressed, especially if they are wearing heels. It's a great way to start up a conservation. I also have been hit on by women while wearing my heels. I always respond to thank them and to let them know that my wife does like my heels too!

Steve, I am glad that you like your Naturalizer "Daquiri" sandals. I like mine very much. I like to wear mine with kahki capris and I did wear them with kahki shorts too. I still will be writing a review on the Naturalizer site. Happy Heeling, bluejay

Bluejay,
When I submitted my Naturalizer product review on the Kalei sandals a month or two ago, I think it was on a Friday, and they had the review posted by Sunday night. I thought that was unusual, but somebody must mind the web site over the weekend. If I were you, I would submit another review (or the same review if you still have a copy of the text). My guess is that the first one might be lost and they didn't get it. They have never refused to post a review of mine, and I always let it be known that I'm male. So please try again and see what happens.
Steve
I will try again. For some reason Naturalizer does not recognize my e-mail address or password. I get e-mails from them all the time. I guess I will have to call them.

I bought the Naturalizer "Daquiri" sandals from the Naturalizer store. I still am not able to post a review on the Naturalizer site.Great review, Bluejay. It's quite clear that you are a guy and married, so I hope that opens a few eyes and educates some more people to the fact that guys can and do wear high heels. I would encourage you to post a similar review on the aerosoles.com web site as well. In fact, that's where I was looking for it. I didn't realize you were going to post the review on the web site of the place where you bought them. Nothing wrong with that, though. It can be on both!
Did you buy the Daquiri sandals from Shoebuy.com as well? Where should I look for your review? Again, posting it to Naturalizer.com would be a good idea. And you can post your gender on that site, too.

Yesterday, May 22, 2012 I went to get a new pedicure, This is the first one professionall done since last September. I don't always color my toes during winter and when I do it, then I do it myself. Since it is sandal wearing time, it was time to get a professional one. I went to a new shop that opened in the last year in a new plaza near me. I arrived at the opening time posted on the door but it was not open. I waited for 1/2 hour, when finally a woman came, unlocked the door and went inside. I waited a few minutes for her to get organizied before I went inside. After I entered the woman probably Vietnamiese greeted me and asked" how can I help you, today?" I said" I am here for a pedicure this morning". She replied "I will be with youin a few minutes". She started to fill the foot basin with water and in a few minutes called me over. I took off my sandals (flats, no heels this morning) and sat down in the chair and placed my feet in the water foot basin. After letting my feet soak for awhile she started to work on my feet. I had forgotten what a wonderful feeling you get having a professional pedicure. She continued the process, Then she asked "do you live around here" and I said yes. At that time another woman customer entered to have both a manicure and pedicure. A male employee started to work on her hands. The woman asked me about clear polish on my toes, as she had to remove some remanents of the red I had put on last fall that still were on my big toes. I said no clear, deep red and handed her my bottle of Sally Hansen Quick-Dry deep red that I like very much. She said "color on all toes" I said of course. She put on the two coats and then the top coat was applied. She moved me over to the foot dryer to dry the polish. She had done a great job today and I was very happy with the results. She then went to start on another woman customer. The male assisitant came over to check to see if the polish was dry. It was and I could go. I paid my bill and left the woman a nice tip. On my way out I thanked her for the great job she did for me and that I would see her again in the future. As I was walking to my car I kept looking down at my polished toes and how nice they looked to me. Now I was ready to wear my summer heeled sandals, which I did that night with my Born black velvet slide sandals with a 3- 1/2" stacked heel. For those of you guys that have never experienced a professional pedicure you are really missing out!!!!!!! Happy Heeling, bluejay

Bluejay,
I was just looking on the Naturalizer site today (slow day at the office!), and wondered if you had posted a review yet. I found nothing, unfortunately. Give it a day or two more and let's see if they come around.
A couple of weeks ago I got an email newsletter from them and one column was written by the manager of retailing, or some such title. I wrote an email to the company and in the subject mentioned that it should be forwarded to her. I told her that I was a fashion forward male who liked some of their shoes and had bought a number of them over the years, etc. I received no answer so far.
I checked out the Aerosoles Tapestry pumps and they look very tempting. There were only two reviews - one from October and one from February - and neither one appeared to be from you. They've published my reviews before, where I disclosed that I was male, and I hope they publish yours too. Please post if they do, as I might not remember to check.
Anyway, I'm really glad to hear that you like the Daquiri sandals. Those are tempting, too. Enjoy wearing them!
Steve
Steve, I just checked out the Aerosoles at Shoebuy.com. They finally published my review on the Aerosoles "Tapestry" pumps. Check it out. They did not even edit one word!

I just got a new pair of wedges, in white, a slide sandal from Sears. com. That is my second pair of wedges. Last year I bought a pair of black wedge slide sandals from Naturalizer at their store. I am not a big fan of wedges, but I like what I purchased and will be wearing them especially with capris and shorts this summer. Happy Heeling, bluejay

Bluejay,
I haven't seen a review from you on the Naturalizer Daquiri sandals you bought. Have you had a chance to wear them yet? How do you like them?
Steve
Steve,
Yesterday, Sunday May 20, 2012, I wore my new Naturalizer "Daquiri" sandals for the first time. It was a very warm day and I paired them with capris and a polo shirt combo for the day (Read my post , Heeling with bluejay). Later that afternoon I wore them with a pair of shorts and made a post about them on the General Fashion Thread "Wearing heels and shorts". I did like them very much and they were very comfortable to wear. Even my wife agreed. I tried to post a review on the Naturalizer site about them but was unable to do so. I will notify Naturalizer about that problem. I posted a review recently on Aerosoles "Tapestry" red pumps which I bought recently from ShoeBuy.com, but have not seen that review posted as yet. In that review I thanked Aerosoles for making their shoes appealing to men too. I hope that the review will be posted on their site.

My wife and I had to travel to another city, 150 miles away to attend a dinner honoring a friend of ours for his dedicated service to Military Veterans, on Saturday. It was a warm day, so to travel in I wore my black "Metro-Stlye cropped jeans with an orange, Izod polo shirt and a pair of Aerosoles black mules with a 2" block heel. We entered the hotel where we were staying and were directed to the hospitality room by some of our other friends that were there for the dinner. I did observe a few people staring at me , but since my wife was with me (she was dressed in capris and her new White Mountain "Ferry" sandals, with 2" block heels, that I had bought her for Mother's Day), the stares were just stares. We enjoyed a few cocktails with our friends before we went to our room to change for the dinner. We had to dress up for dinner I wore a Dark grey suit with lilac colored shirt and a very purple colored iridesent tie and yes a pair of Mens dress shoes(UGH), but they do have about a 1-3/4" heel on them. The dinner went off fine and we enjoyed ourselves very much. After the dinner we returned to the party room for some additional libation. It was well after 2am when we returned to our room to go to sleep. In the elevator, a women commented to me about my tie and shirt color combination and how nice it looked on me. Then she said "real men wear purple" upon which I said "real men wear any color including, pink", and thanked her for her comment. My wife was smiling because she had just given me that tie a couple of weeks ago as a gift from her. I also told the woman that it was a gift from my wife and I was wearing it for the first time, as purple is a very favorite color of my wife. Another woman in the elevator commented that her husband would never wear a color combination like I had on, upon which I replied "thats his loss". My wife also commented to her " I like to see my husband in a lot of color and the day of the white only dress shirt for men was very passe". We awoke to a beautiful day and we decided to go to a suggested dinner for for a late morning breakfast as it was already noon and we both wanted to eat breakfast before we would leave for the return trip home. Fortunately this dinner served breakfast on weekends until 2pm. This morning I chose to wear my Dockers kahki pants which I have tailered to capri lenghts in several different colors, with an Izod polo shirt in lilac color and my new Naturalizer "Daquiri" sandals (first time wearing out) with a 3-1/2" stacked heel. My wife was comfortable with my look so we left the hotel. We entered the dinner, it was quite crowded today. After a short wait we were seated and the waitress who was very fashionably dressed for this type of dinner came to take our order. Her first comment to me was I really like your jewelry that you have on this morning (I had my usual assortment of finger rings, necklase with matching bracelet and anklet on my right leg}, she continued " I like to see men who like to wear jewelry". I thanked her very for her very positive comments. I was hoping that she would notice my capris and heels I was also wearing as I did have them on somewhat of a view underneath of the table. She took our order and within a very few minutes she served us our breakfast's. The food was excellent. After we finished eating she brought me the check, very reasonable price for what we had to eat. As we got up to pay the bill at the front counter I handed her a very generous tip. She thanked me and said in a soft voice "I like your capri pants and your heels, they look very nice on you" I thanked her very much for her comments and told her that I have worn heels for years and my wife is comfortable with it. I also said that we have matching pairs of heels that we sometimes wear out together. She replied "I like that". I paid the bill and left for our trip home. It was a very enjoyable trip for both my wife and myself. Happy Heeling, bluejay P.S. read about my late afternoon heeling event of the "General Fashion" thread "Shorts and Heels"

JeffB, Great jaunts you had. You looked very stunning in your dress and heels. I also liked your flats you wore with your skirt. Flats do have a place in a wardrobe, as I have several pair of "Georgio Butini" men's designer shoes that look more like women's flats then men's shoes. Again Great looks! Happy Heeling, bluejay

Hello. this is a perfect 100th post for me.
I needed to go to Lowe's to get some screws plus is wanted to go to the local Payless. Since i was going to be trying on sandels I of course needed to paint my toes. so I painted them a pink color. However i don't have the "balls" to go into such a manly place as Lowe's with heels on but i did go in with flip flops and painted toes. Not one look or comment. I then went to Payless. I slipped on my crisscross striped wedge heels which perfectly showed my fresh paint and went inside. there were 3 women working and all of them were on the asle i was on. They greeted me and asked if i needed any help. There selection was terrible in 12's so i looked for a few minutes then left. All the women wished me a good day, and i did them. However once i got to the truck then my heart started racing. my right foot was shaking so bad i could bearly drive LOL. Arent you supossed to be scared before you go out in publc? Anyway a long rant but fun never the less. If you want to see the shoes i wore i put a pic of them on here a while back. Thanks for reading.
I wear heels when I go to Lowes sometimes. Most people are too busy with their shopping to notice. One time I did get this negative comment from this macho guy wearing cowboy boots in Lowes, when he said "those are real pretty shoes you are wearing" upon which I countered him with, "nice earring your wearing", end of conservation!

Here Come The Wedges
in General Fashion
Posted
I now have a couple pair of wedge heels sandals. Just got a pair in white and wore them to-day for the first time out in public. I never really liked wedge heels, but as JeffB said he is starting to enjoy wearing them out, just as I am. They are very comfy to wear. My new white ones are "Rivera" Covington (Sears on line site) very reasonable priced too. I paid less than $20.00 for them. Happy Heeling, bluejay
