Went to get a mani/ pedi the other day for the 4th of July holiday. I got my usual clear/pink gel on my fingers with an American Flag on my right pinkie and a firecracker on my left. What I was wearing to the salon brought out some attention as I passed a neighboring boutique on my way out. I was wearing an American Flag skort, white women's top and my red sandals with double bands and 3-1/2" stacked heels. The owner of the boutique and a customer were standing in the doorway, when I walked by. Both of them nodded approval on what I was wearing. The customer said I looked fab. Which I replied, " thanks for the compliment". I know the owner of the boutique as I have made purchases from her shop before. I remember one in particular was a pair of leggings that was on a manequin in the window, that I liked. I bought them that day and I came back to show her how they looked on me, another time, so you can see that I am feminizing the male wardrobe!

I like wearing skorts with my heels especially in the summer time.I like the short versions of the skorts that show off my legs and I've had compliments over the years from mostly women but an occasional one, from a guy. I don't like maxi or midi skirts. Just my opinion.

Jim102, I like you, like to wear black boots. I have many pairs of knee boots and booties. Some leather and some patent leather. Some big block heels and some narrower heels. No stilettos. I only wear them in the winter, spring and fall. Otherwise, I'm wearing pumps or sandals, this time of year of course, with heels.

Mirose, I also wore a pair of red pumps for Pentecost Sunday church. Mine were not stilettos but were a 3" small block heel. With my red suit coat and white pants I got several compliments on my ensemble, last Sunday.

I’m in an 11 in heels. Wish it was a comfortable 10 as so many shoes only go to a 10. Prob better for me. Less money spent !
I too am a size 11 in heels but I have some knee boots that are size 12 because the brand in a size 11 is just too tight on my feet, however I have a couple pairs of size 10 heels that fit me perfectly. Figure that out!

I completely agree about the prevalence of sloppy/slobbish dress being totally unappealing. Ripped jeans are pointless.
In England up to c1970, any woman wearing an ankle chain/bracelet was regarded (usually correctly) as advertising herself as a prostitute. But ankle chains have since become quite fashionable and generally acceptable here (on women of almost any age), although there is still something of the 'common tart' vibe about them in the view of some critics. Personally, I like them, although I am not a great fan of jewellery in general. Why should women only be allowed to wear anklets. I wear one often. My wife and I have matching anklets.

White always goes with colorful shoes. I would wear those pumps with white leggings full length or capri length if the weather is warm.

You are not alone in that! 🙂
I was once on a flight sitting in the first row where ahead of me a flight attendant sat, but in looking back at the cabin reversed-too so to speak. Its odd I know, but I like ankle bracelets and she was wearing one, but it was the first time I ever saw a woman wear them UNDER her stockings. That took me by surprise, but when I looked up, she was looking back at me like I was some sort of pervert. I am not, just at that time I had never seen anything like that. Since then I have seen others wear them that way, under their pantyhose or stockings, but still can't figure out why. My wife wears her on the outside.
As for me, I have been thinking about a new job myself. As a guy I think a lot of my identity is in doing what I do, and it does not help that it is kind of unique what I do. It always paid well, but over the years the pay has leveled off and other jobs are increasing. Part of that is working insane hours, like literally being on-call 24/7/365 days a year. My wife even says "it feels like we live here" whenever we have to drive to my job for something. Now I am beginning to wonder if "having a cool job" is actually worth it though. I could work a job for the same money, 5 miles from home, 4 days a week, its just a boring every day sort of job. I do have a job interview there next week, so we shall see how that goes, then make my decision.
As for high heels, maybe it is because it is early mud season here, but I have not seen anyone wearing high heels, even at church. It is one of the reasons I have not been on this site much myself.
I've never seen a woman wearing an anklet under her hosiery, always it's on the top. My wife and I having matching anklets which we always wear bare legged or on top of tights or hose.

Yesterday, I went to my nail salon for my St. Patrick's Day mani. I got my clear/pink gel on my hands. On my left pinkie, white base with a green shramrock and the right pinkie white base with a leprechaun on it. My nail teck did such a great job on both those designs free hand. Incidentally I wore a green ensemble to the salon, green sweatshirt dress with green tights, with my green patent knee boots. Got two compliments on my ensemble both from my nail teck and another woman customer in the salon.
Happy St. Patrick's Day to all our Irish heelers and to those who want to be Irish.

After all the ice and snow problems of the past few weeks, I finally got out yesterday wearing some heels and feminine clothing. I wore my orange sweatshirt dress with orange fishnet hose and my orange patent colored knee boots, with an orange colored puffer jacket. I got a couple of compliments especially from a lady about 50, while entering a Walmart store. She said that " Wow, I looked. very spectacular to her." Of course I thanked her for her compliment. It just goes to show you that guys can go out and about in a feminine mode!

Yesterday , I went to my nail salon to get my mani for Valentine's. I got my usual clear/pink gel on my hands. On my little pinkies I got small Valentine's hearts in red. My nail tech did a great job on my mani. Incidentally, I wore a very feminine ensemble to the nail salon and I was complimented by other women customers. I wore a white sweat shirt dress, with a hemline above my knees, with red fishnet panty hose and my red patent knee boots. I also wore a red puffer jacket as the temp outside was in the low 20's F. I felt very comfortable wearing that ensemble.

I don't wear real fir but I do have an imitation fir coat that I wear out in winter. It's an off grey color and I've had many compliments wearing that coat out with a skirt, tights and heels of course.

I dress typical to my male gender but often find myself in discussion with women about female clothing. I have had a few women ask why I am so open about it and just told them the truth, I am a writer and often describe women's clothing in my novels. I just know clothing, men and women, and since I have done some historical novels, I even know some about the history of clothing. I mean you cannot say "underwear" in a novel based in 1771 Virginia; your readership will call you out for poor research.
Just yesterday my step-daughter needed some tights (not pantyhose) for school and her mother and her were trying to figure out where to buy them. I told them Wall Fart carries them. Neither knew that, but just from being with her mother in buying hers, I saw across the aisle they have a leggings/tights section.
I have even had to buy female typical clothing alone before. In both cases it was pantyhose. Once because my wife had hers ladder so bad she refused to go into the store to buy them and sent me in to get replacements, and another time I needed some high denier stockings as a prefilter for my shop vac. Each time I just openly stated what I was doing. "These are NOT for me I assure you", I said in such a grandiose way that all suspicion was thwarted, "my wife refuses to come in because hers laddered", and saying I needed "a prefilter for my shop vac".
I say this because if people are buying this stuff for themselves to wear and are nervous about it, just do what I did and use my real reasons for an excuse for you. It should not matter why you are buying it, but if it bothers you, a little white lie never hurt. Tell them you need a prefilter for a shop vac! 🙂
I never have a problem buying anything from the women's department at all. Sometimes I buy for my wife but mostly it's for me, which includes pantyhose, tights and leggings among the many things, that I buy for myself.

I too, was complimented on my new booties. Several of the ladies at my church always have to see what heels I'm wearing. I was wearing a pair of new white booties from DSW, with 4" block heels and a 1-1/4" platform. They all liked my new booties as my pants were at a length, that my whole heel was showing off. Very impressed was the comment from one of my lady friends.

Gosh, I remember Steve. He and I communicated for a while. I wonder whatever happened to him
He's still around, but he's not wearing heels anymore. He's into wearing Tiek's women's flats, big time. His wife passed away about a year ago. I still correspond with him occasionally . We were supposed to get together last July, when he was attending an event nearby but he got sick and had to return home to Ohio. BTW he's not on HHP any more as well as my heeling friend, from southern California, mrnotar.

There used to be a guy on here who had a business which specialized in selling hosiery for men. He hasn't been on here since Pandemic times, but they do make such things as tights designed for men. Of course, they wouldn't fit me, since I'm only half a man.
Mirose, that guy your referring to is Steve from Ohio. He sold his hosiery business several years, ago to someone from Canada. I have several pairs of his hosiery and I like them a lot. They are definitely for a guy as they have a fly in them. They are 80d. They are not very heavy. If you guys are looking for a heavier pair of tights get fleece lined women's tights or leggings.

Nice!! I’m quite a fan of purple - pretty much my favourite colour. Lots of purple tops but no purple trousers yet
Shyheels, I have a pair of men's purple dress pants and a pair of women's purple pants. On this side of the pond purple pants are not that hard to come by. Incidentally purple is my wife's favorite color. Mine is blue.

I have no bad stories to tell about my wearing heels with my skorts. I get compliments from mostly women when i wear heels with short skorts. BTW, on the 4th of July i wore a flag decorated skort , white women's top and my double banded red sandals. Got compliments.
Today for church, I wore white dress pants, a red white and blue patriotic polo shirt with my Aerosoles red patent pumps with 3-1/2 " stacked heels. After church I wore my red double banded sandals with 3-1/2" stacked heels to show off my red pedi. got a couple compliments both in the supermarket and Walmart out shopping this morning. And of course I carried a red cross body bag, too!
