  1. JeffB, I hope that you are happy with the Ravens win in the Super Bowl yesterday. As you know I was rooting for the Forty Niners, but at the end they fell short and the Ravens prevailed. It was a great game in spite of the blackout. I hope you saw my post and pics last Friday on my thread "Heeling with bluejay", as I really pushed the envelope wearing red knee boots and other reds for the wearing of red for Women's Heart Disease Awareness Day, Friday, February 1, 2013. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  2. Today is a red letter day! With today, Friday February 1, 2013 being designated "Women's Heart Disease Awareness Day, we are all supposed to be wearing red today. I did my part. This afternoon I had to do some errands so I decided to make it a heeling event in red. I wore MetroStyle boot cut jeans, black Izod polo shirt, leather jacket, cap and gloves all in red leather. For footwear I added my Bijou, ankle boots also in red with 2 1/2" small block heel and black tights. (Because it was cold outside.) My first stop was to the Post Office, for new .46 cent stamps to mail out the monthly invoices. The line was short and in no time I was up to the clerk to purchase my stamps. I know the lady and she did compliment me on my red ensemble I was wearing, as did the woman clerk next to her too. I don't know if they saw my red heels but maybe on the way out they may have noticed them. Next stop was to the bank to take care of my banking. I waited for the young woman teller, that I know to call me up . She was dressed all in red from head to toe. She even showed me her red heel loafers small 2" heel. I complimented her on her look today and she responded that I looked good in red too. She even told me she liked my red polished little pinkies too. She has seen me with colored little pinkies many times before and we are always comparing nail polish. She showed me her mani, it was a deep burgundy color and I told her it looked very nice on her. She replied that she liked my color better, because it was red for today. I said that I did a fast coloring today, not a pro job indeed. She replied, you can do my nails for me, any time. I thanked her for the compliment. As I walked away I said to her, check out my red ankle boots. As I was far enough away for her to see them from behind the counter, she said, I like them, they go so well with your outfit. Thanks, I said as I was walking out the door. Last stop this afternoon was to gas up my car. As I was pumping my gas I noticed that a man pumping his gas on the other side was looking at me. He looked a second time and a third too. He never said a word as I passed him to pay the clerk, who also knows me and also commented on the red I was wearing today. As I handed her the cash, I told her she was in the red spirit today, because she was wearing a red sweatshirt. She replied you look good in red too. I thanked her for her compliment. It was a nice afternoon out in heels, but the best is still to come. I returned , home to see my wife off to work. Tonight, I was going to push the envelope again. I had to go to Kay's Jewelery store to drop off a repair for my wife. The gals in Kay's are always glad to see me and what I am wearing. Tonight I wasn't going to disappoint them. I wore my white Izod 1/4 zip fleece, black shinny leggings, added my red leather jacket, cap and gloves that I wore this afternoon and tonight I wore my "Funtasma" red patent leather knee boots with black knee-hi hose. It was an awesome look, if I say so myself. I entered the store, noticed only one other woman customer inside the store. One of the clerks came out to greet me. I know all of them by their first name including the manager. She took one look at me and all she could say, "You look hot, Tonight". I thanked her for the compliment. Even the manager came out to see me and they all commented on how great I looked. I said I was in red today for Women's Heart Disease Awareness Day. One of the clerks said that;'s why she was wearing red heels today and showed them to me. The mgr. had a red scarf around her neck and the other clerk was wearing a red belt with her black dress pants. They all agreed that my red heel knee boots were the red hit of the night. I had to tell them all about my boots and where I got them from. I also told them that I just got a pair of the same boots in royal blue color, that I am very anxious to wear. One clerk said make sure that you come to show us when you wear them. I replied, I will be very happy to to that soon. The mgr said, she will be looking forward to seeing them on me. Since the store had no customers, we kept on discussing heels and fashion for about 15-20 minutes. Then It was time to leave and I thanked them all for the interesting conversation that we had and I will be looking forward to seeing them soon. As I walked to the door I was walking tall with a great feeling of a wonderful time out and about in heels and wearing "red" today. Did any of you wear red today? Happy Heeling, bluejay I am adding some pics of what I wore today. Pics #1,2 & 3 are of this afternoon. Pics #4,5,6 &7 are of this evening. I hope that you enjoy seeing them and reading my long post.

  3. I do wear a lot of Nine West shoes especially to work. They are, for the most part, very comfortable and not so overly expensive that I can't have a closet ful inclusing some trendy styles! Now, I have several pairs of "designer" shoes in my closet (Louboutin, Stuart Weitzman et. al.), but they are reserved for special occasions. But Nine West, BCBGirls, Bandolino, Giani Bini and Bakers make up the bulk of my shoe wardrobe.

After fighting a bad cold all week...I'm glad it's Friday! For today, I'm leaving the heels at home and wearing a pair of red flats from Bandolino with jeans (casual Friday...the only day I can get away with wearing jeans to work).

    Have a great weekend!

    Hi Debbi,

Glad to read that your cold is better. My wife is feeling better today and she went to work tonight.

I am glad you wore your red flats, today for wearing of red for the Women's Heart Disease Awareness Day, Friday, February 1, 2013. Your flats looked very nice on you with your jeans. Did you wear a red top too? After all, we're all supposed to be in red today.

I did my part today. I wore a red leather jacket, red leather gloves and red leather cap, with black polo shirt, boot cut jeans and my red ankle boots with a 2 1/2" small block heel. I had to do some errands this afternoon, so I was out and about. I did get several compliments on my red ensemble, especially from the bank teller , who was dressed totally in red from head to toe. She even complimented me on my bright red colored little pinkies. You will have to go to my thread in the Men Heeling section, "Heeling with bluejay" and read all about my heeling for today.

I have added a couple of pics to see.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  4. I love to shop at the Nine West Outlet store too. The sales staff is so very helpful. Many times I have worn a pair of Nine West shoes or boots into the store. I will always show them to the sales clerk. One of the clerks, often suggests shoes or boots to try on. She is always telling me how nice they look on me. According to her, I am not the only man that buys shoes at the NW outlet store. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  5. After a couple of days under the weather, I'm back at work today. Today's heels are from Nine West with 3 inch heels. The style is called "Hendle"

Bluejay, those are some good looking boots!

    Have a great day everyone!

    Hi Debbi,

Glad that you are feeling better. My wife has been sick since Sunday. No flu, but some type of respiratory infection, with swollen glands and severe sore throat. She is feeling a little better today.

Your blue croco, Nine West pumps look very nice. I like blue shoes too. I have about four pair in various shades of blue and a pair of royal blue ankle boots. Just ordered a pair of navy blue knee boots. I will post a pic with a blue outfit when I get them.

BTW, thanks for your compliments on my "Born" western style boots in brown. I also have them in black too and I like them very much!

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  6. Nice looking boots crotchhiguy. The color goes well with your black leather skirt too. Since I am a big fan of leather fashion, I really like your look. I am also looking to purchase a pair of knee boots in pewter/grey color for myself to wear. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  7. TGIF!!! A casual Friday with frozen precipitation forecast by mid afternoon...so it's time to stay warm!

With well worn boot cut jeans, I'm wearing my black leather boots from BCBGirls. Wonderfully comfy boots that are sooo soft!

Yes, I did pack another pair of shoes for the evening commute in case things get slippery!

    Have a great weekend!

    Hi Debbi,

I like your boots that you wore on Friday. That pair has a very pointy toe.

On Saturday, night my wife and I attended a banquet with some of our friends. One of our friends had a pair of Nine West booties with a very pointy toe and a 4" stiletto heel on. I told her how much I liked them on her. She thanked me for the compliment. She knows of my heel wearing and we are always discussing heels and fashions. Her husband couldn't care less about what she wears, so I guess she likes my compliments and the fact that I know as much about fashion and wearing heels as any woman does. Incidentally, I was wearing my Payless 3" big block heel loafers (Very masculine looking) with my charcoal grey suit, purple shirt, with a contrasting tie and matching pocket square. I got several compliments, mostly from the ladies on my shirt color and the tie, I was wearing. My wife also had a purple jacket, that she wore with her black dress and Franko Sarto black pumps with a 3" stacked heel. She loves purple and she loves to see me wearing purple too!

Last night, I had to run a couple of errands to Lowe's, Target and the supermarket. I wore brown stretch, straight leg jeans, tan Izod 1/4 zip fleece top, dark tan microfiber jacket and my Born western style boots in brown with a 3" stacked heel. No one paid any attention to my boots at Lowe's, but I did get a compliment from the head cashier (who has seen me wearing heels many times) at the supermarket. She said my boots , looked great with what I was wearing. I thanked her for the compliment.

I have added a couple of pics of what I was wearing, last night.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  8. I often get compliments on what I am wearing. When I am out, I dress very fashionable mostly in male attire, but I do wear women's jeans and sometimes leggings (Jeggings too) with my heeled boots and heeled shoes. I also like to wear lots of jewelery too. I wear necklaces with matching bracelets ( in the summer add a matching anklet with heels too) and several finger rings. Most of my compliments are on my total look. Sometimes, I will get a compliments on my clothes and or my heels too. Compliments are always great to receive, especially from the ladies! Happy Heeling, bluejay

  9. Bluejay,

Please permit me to make a slight correction. The model is Escapegoat, not Scapegoat. That will make it easier for people to find it. This is the link:

    http://www.ninewest....ow?q=escapegoat

    Steve

Thanks Steve for making that name correction. I don't know how that mistake of spelling was made, but it happens.

BTY, Amazon.com also posted my review of the same boot, on their site, where I bought the boots from. And there is also a review from me on Hue, Original Jean Style Leggings (Leggings) on Amazon.com

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

bluejay/Steve63130, Hi there! Actually bluejay had written "Scrapegoat", and I thought, "OMG, what the hell is this thing made from?" and then I saw Steve63130's post on the "Escapegoat" which is still a strange name for a product. I went to the link provided and saw the boot. Very nice and sturdy and would work well in all types of venues. Saw your review posted 24th January and added a "helpful" to it. You made your impact on that style.

    HappyinHeels

Thanks for posting the helpful, Happyin Heels, to my review of the Escapegoat boots on the Nine West site. I got an e-mail from Nine West , stating that someone posted a " helpful" to my review on the boots.

I hope that everyone liked my picture, I added to my review. That may be a first for a male heeler to add the picture to the review of heeled footwear.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  10. This is the latest pair of heels I bought, jus waiting for them to arrive. They're made my Nine West as you can see. If any one knows the model that would be great, as I don't know it

    6inch-heaven

Nice looking Nine West shoes. I am a big fan of Nine West and I have several pairs of their shoes and boots, that I love to wear. I am glad that you like Nine West too.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  11. THBG, Sounds like you had a nice heeling event out. I am glad to read of your latest jaunt. Glad you had fun and thanks for your concern for the woman that you are taking for her cancer treatments. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  12. I too prefer to wear women's jeans Even my wife likes the look of them on me. I have Levi's, MetroStyle, Chadwicks, Faded Glory (Walmart) and other brands of women's jeans, both straight legged, tailored and boot cut and in lots of colors too. I also have DKNY skinny jeans that fit me well and Hue Original Jean style Leggings (Jeggings), that I wear with my knee boots. The boots with the skinny jeans and leggings are always on the outside. I have received many compliments on that look. I'll take them any day. Therefore, for you guys that are hesitant about wearing women's jeans, go for it and you will never go back to the ugly and baggy look of men's jeans! Happy Heeling, bluejay

  13. I have posted many reviews on my heel and hosiery purchases. I always state that I am a male that likes to wear heels and that my wife is OK with it too. I also thank the manufacturer for making shoes that appeal to men too.

Today, I posted a review on Amazon.com about my new Nine West "Scrapegoat" knee heeled boots and two reviews on Hue leggings that I recently purchased. All three reviews were posted. In each review I stated that I was a male that wore heels and or leggings.

I also posted a review of the same boots on the Nine West site. I even added a picture of me wearing the boots to the review. As of yet Nine West has not posted my review, but I am hopeful they will.

    happy Heeling,

    bluejay

Nine West posted my review on the Scapegoat boot today, exactly as I wrote it. Even the picture of me in the boots was posted. Please go on the Nine West site and look for Scapegoat boots, that's where you will see it.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  14. Very Nice Debbi! Many of us love Nine West shoes and boots, especially you and I. That pewter color is a nice color. That's one of the few colors that I don't have in my shoe and boot collection. Since I like the Nine West Scapegoat boot in black, I may order the same boots in the grey/pewter color. Thanks for the pic, have a great day. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  15. Hi Debbi. I love the styles you show in the other post. It's great hearing your story.

I too live in NC and buy and wear heels publically all the time. Only one time did I ever get an unsolicited comment such as ours when a woman went out of her way to come up to me and say how much she loved my shoes. At the time i was wearing pair of 5" FOH basic pumps with jeans that covered about half the heel while shopping a BJ's wholesale club. I am sure this guy's day was really made by you and I'll bet he has no clue of this site.

    Thank you for him.

I am sure this man was smiling from ear to ear after the comment that Debbi made to him, in the Nine West store. I sometimes get those compliments too from other women shoppers. It's always nice to get a compliment, that's why I like to compliment women and/or men who are wearing great looking heels. If you read my earlier post on this thread , I received a compliment, Sunday, from a woman shopper in the BonTon Department store about my Nine West "Scapegoat" heeled, knee boots, I was wearing at the time . She said that they looked great on me. I thanked her for the compliment and told her all about the boots, while I was standing in line to pay for my pair of Hue" Original Jean style Leggings"(Jeggings).

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  16. DebbiNC, It's bitterly cold here too. About 0* this AM. Wind chill about minus 15-20*. I really like your Nine West boots. I have a similar pair with stiletto heels, but with a more rounded toe style, as yours are a pointy style. That's why I like Nine West, as they make so many great styles of boots and shoes, which are fun to wear! Try to keep warm. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  17. Thanks Debbie for relating your story at the Nine West Outlet store. I can assure you it was not me, as it's along way for me to shop in NC. However I do shop at the Nine West outlet store in my area. The clerks know me and are always suggesting shoes or boots for me to try on. I have made several great buys at that store. They are always so helpful and they always tell me about the other men, that come in, some try on and others just buy heels. I can't say enough about Nine West. I am waiting to see if Nine West will publish my review on my new boot purchase. They are called "Escapegoat" and I even posted a pic of me wearing them in the review. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  18. Shafted, thanks for posting the article. Happyin Heels, I also have tried on heels at DSW next to women too. I have had conversations with many of them, about wearing heels. Last July, I was with another HHP heeler (Steve63130) and his wife at DSW. We met this petite young woman, who said that she really thought men wearing heels was fantastic. Steve and I were both wearing the same sandal from Naturalizer "Daquiri" 3 1/2" heel, The best part about it we both had pedi's and she liked that too!!!!! Happy Heeling, bluejay

  19. Thanks bluejay!

I love jewel tone colors and these shoes really are a splash of color! My red polish is by OPI called "An Affair In Red Square" in case you're interested.

BebbiNC, The purple color on my little pinkies that matches my wife's mani is also from OPI. I think it's called "Purple Passion". The red on my toes is "Rapid Red" from Sally Hansen. I have several colors from Sally Hansen. I like their polish.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  21. Very nice Debbie. I love the look of your peep toes. The colors are nicely matched. Those colors are favorites of mine as you saw in my post from Sunday and thanks for your compliment on my look. I also love your red pedi. That's the color I wear too. You saw my red pedi on my pic of the black peep toe pumps I posted earlier, Thanks for your pic. I would love to see a pic of you in the boots you wore on Monday. Please post a pic. Thanks Happy Heeling, bluejay
