  1. Very nice. As you heel more your confidence will grow. It is always nice to receive compliments from ladies. Just project yourself with confidence and you will have many happy heeling events! Happy Heeling, bluejay

  2. Steve, You are correct about Naturalizer courting men to wear their shoes. I go to their outlet store in another city once in a while. I have spoken with the manager on a few occasions and she has told me that they sell their shoes to many men. Only once when I was there did I see a man looking at their shoes but did not see him actually trying on shoes. I always try on some of their shoes. I have seen shoes there that are not in their catalog or web site. In fact late last fall, I ordered a pair called "Frances", a low heel, slip-on, block heel about 2" in a med navy blue. The heels were not the appeal to me. The blue color was the appealing issue of those shoes. With the 20% coupon, free shipping to my house they cost me about $21.00. A great buy. I wore them once on a Sunday with navy blue pants, tan dress shirt with tie, blue check sportcoat and navy color knee-hi hose. It looked good and I did receive a couple of positive compliments on my outfit. Happy heeling, bluejay

  3. Daniel6406 Steve63130 Thanks for the help to get that link posted. I am getting those Naturalizer Daquiri sandals in beige. I will pick them up on Saturday night. I will make it a heeling event that night, when I go to pick them up. Freshinheels, Too bad that you can not use coupons in your country. But in the USA that is a fact of life today. Discounts or coupons gets people to buy! Happy Heeling, bluejay

  4. I show my first pair of boots on your board

    Very nice boots.Are they thigh-high?

I have a pair of knee boots and ankle boots just like your's from NineWest. They are nice to wear.

  5. I have about 15 pair of pumps. Closed toe and open toe, in black, brown, navy and royal blue, red, silver, gold and black patent. One of my favorite pairs are my "Chadwicks" black patent leather loafer pumps with a 3 1/2 " heel. I also have several pairs of mules and slides which I enjoy to wear very much. And as Steve said they look more masculine on a man. I just bought a new pair of Born 4" heeled slides from DSW shoes. See my post on "Buying new shoes, try them on". I also have several pairs of boots, both short and knee high. All in all, I must have 50 pair of heels. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  6. Great post, Bluejay. Do you have a link to the Naturalizers they're holding for you? I'd love to see which ones you're buying. The Born clogs look great. I have a similar pair and they're very comfortable. Isn't it great to strike up a conversation with a receptive stranger like that? Nice going!

    Steve

The Naturalizer shoe is a" Daquiri" sandal Item # EC0228913. You will have to go to the Naturalizer site to get the picture of the shoes. I am very limited in what I can do on a computer. I will have to get someone to show me how to get that actual link to this site.

  7. Yesterday, Sunday, March 25, 2012 I was out on a heeling event as usual for a Sunday. First went to Naturalizer store in the mall to look at and try on a pair of sandal slides that I liked from their catalog that was sent to me. I always like to try on the shoes before I buy them. This morning the store was not crowded with shoppers. Only one other woman shopper in the store. As I entered the male clerk greeted me. He has seen me in heels and has sold me heels in the past. There was also a woman clerk there about 30ish. I showed him the shoes I wanted to try on and he said what size do you wear again, upon which I replied size 11. He went to the back to get them. Be brought them out and handed them to me to try on. I sat down and removed my brown "Bass" loafer with a 2 1/2" block heel. Since I was wearing coffee color knee-hi hose, I did not have to put one of those foot socks on, the store supplies. As I was trying on the sandals the woman clerk came over a little closer to see. I suppose that she was a newer clerk and wanted to get a closeup look at a man trying on heels in the store. As I was starting to place the shoes on my feet she offered to help, I think that she noticed my red toe polish on my feet as they did show through the hose quite a bit. The shoes fit perfectly. I walked around the store with them on for a couple of minutes looking in the mirrors, The shoes were a tan color criss cross sandal with 3 1/2" stacked heels. They matched perfectly with my brown Dockers dress pants. The male clerk asked how they feel. I replied "great". The woman clerk said they looked very nice on me and that they would surely show off my pedicure, when wearing them without hose. I replied that I really liked them very much but would wait until I got an e-mail discount from Naturalizer before buying them. The male clerk came over and handed me a coupon for 30% off "Family and Friends of Naturalizer". The coupon would be good March 29 to April 1, 2012. So I had to wait a few days, but with 30% off, I was willing to wait. I said that you probably do not sell many size 11 and 12's in the store, upon which he replied that they did and I am not their only male customer to buy heels from them. He took my name to set them aside for me to p/u later in the week. I thanked them for their help and said I'll see you soon to pick up my shoes. So, guys that like to shop at Naturalizer stop by, between Thursday, March 29, and Sunday, April 1, 2012 and ask for your 30% Family and friends discount. Incidentally they do carry some shoes up to size 12. Next stop was to DSW shoe store. The store was quite crowded this early afternoon with shoppers, especially women. As I browsed the aisles I stopped to look at look at some of the newer shoes that had come in for the spring season. I did try on several pairs of heels. No one seemed to care that a man was trying on heels in the store. Near the back of the store, I noticed a very stylishly dressed woman about 50 with very tight skinny black jeans and white print floral top trying on some black patent platform heels with about a 6" heel. I watched as she walked up to the mirror to get a look. She looked so beautiful in those heels with her skinny jeans., I wanted to tell her how nice she looked in the heels but decided not to at the time. I walked to the clearance rack to see what was there in size 11,. There must of been about 50 pair of shoes and boots there. I tried some on but nothing really stuck out to me. Near the end of the display I found a pair of "Born" tan color, heeled, mules with a 4" stacked heel. I tried them on. They fit like a glove. I walked around in them looked in the mirror and liked the look very much. They matched my brown Dockers dress pants perfectly. They were reduced to $49.95 with an additional 30% off ticket. (originally $99.95) As I was heading to the check-out, I passed by that woman that I mentioned earlier that looked so great in the platform heels and her skinny jeans. This time she was trying some peep toe platform black heels on. I just had to compliment her. I said to her, that I liked her heels that she was trying on and that they all looked fabulous on her and I also admire your sense of fashion style. She smiled and said thanks very much. She then said that I see that you also like to wear heels and she liked my choice of outfit this morning. I replied that I really like to wear heels, they are so much fun to wear, instead of the boring mens shoes out there. We chatted for a few minutes about clothing and heels. I thanked her for the conversation this morning and she said it was nice talking to a man that had a keen sense of fashion awareness. I proceeded to the checkout to pay for my shoes, The girl clerk added up the shoes on her register as I handed her a DSW rewards coupon for $10.00 off any purchase. The sale rang up to about $24.00 with tax. What a great buy I had made. I asked her to cut the tag off the one shoe so that I could wear them out the store, She cut the tag and I put them on. She put my shoes that I was wearing in the shopping bag. As I leaving she said that the shoes looked nice on me and she also liked my polished toes. At that point several other customers were looking at me as I walked out the door with great confidence with my new shoes as I was beaming from ear to ear! Happy Heeling, bluejay

  8. A week ago I got a nice pair of White Mountain black sandals from DSW online in 11M. They arrived and I noticed the insole said Naturalizer. Odd. But anyway I've worn them for a week and wrote a lengthy and detailed review. Today they posted it, in its entirety. Here's the link:

    http://www.dsw.com/shoe/white+mountain+witty+sandal?prodId=236997&productRef=SEARCH

If anyone outside the US can't read the link, it's starts with DSW dot com. Search for Witty and you'll see three reviews for it.

Here's a pic of the sandals. I love their looks and I hope they become more comfortable with wearing. The straps tend to pinch my bunion but as they're stretching it's less irritating.

    Steve

Nice sandals. I just bought a pair of White Mountain "Ferry" sandal slides in red. They have a 2" block heel and are very comfortable to wear. I purchased them from "Foot Smart" web site. I even got a 15% discount and free shipping. I liked them so much that I ordered a pair in blue.

My wife liked them also. I had to order a pair in her size. She wears 2 sizes smaller than I do. Going to surprise her with the gift. We will be wearing them out together with capris and shorts this spring and summer.

  9. Shafted, I totally agree with you about this unseasonable warm weather we are having this March, when you can sit outside and sip a nice cocktail is really great for this time of year. Yesterday, I got one of my totes out with summer sandals in it. Put a pair of heeled sandals and took the wife out for an ice cream treat. What a line for a Sunday evening in Mid-March. I think that I will have to move up the date for a spring pedicure, if this unseasonable warm weather continues. Sandals with capris or shorts will be the order of the day. Incidentally my wife got her pedicure about a week ago. I was thinking about mid-May, but will have to move that up this year. Incidentally, today Monday is the 5th day in a row that a record high temp was established in my area. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  10. It's been awhile since I have had anything worthy of adding to my thread. But here goes.

I had a day off today and felt like "stepping out". I had a few quick errands to run. But other than that the day was reserved for Mr. X and some window shopping. The day went off without a hitch. And I really enjoyed myself.

I tried on a few outfits before ultimately settling on this one.

    -black ankle boots

    -white denim/khakish pants

    -plain red t shirt

    -black jacket

-smaller camera type bag/carry all(rarely leave home without it now)

Here are 2 pics of the outfit. One with the bag, and one without. Comments and suggestions for improvement are always welcome.

Very nice outfits Mr. X. I , just love your color choices in those outfits. The only comment that I want to make is "It's a little early to wear white pants". I have some winter white or string colored Dockers pants that I wear throughout the winter, but I still like your color combinations! Keep up the posts.

  11. Sunday, March 18, 2012 A beautiful Sunday morning was dawning with another record high temperature predicted. We have had about 4 or 5 days in a row with record high temps. I don't remember sitting out in the yard in mid-March ever before! This morning I wore a bright green dress shirt, matching tie, black dress pants, my black lamb leather blazer with green matching pocket square and added my "Tahary" black patent leather pumps with a 3" stacked heel and again as with last night black fishnet hose. This time I wore knee-hi fishnet hose. As my pants revealed a bout half of my heel, you could not see the fishnet hose, but I knew that I was wearing fishnet hose and that it was a great feeling on my legs. First stop as always on a Sunday morning was to church. I was greeted by the Minister upon which he said, "I see that you are dressed in green for St Patrick's Day, your tie and shirt look very nice". I also received a few other comments mostly from the ladies about my appearance today. Another lady said "what a beautiful green shirt and tie you have on". As always I thanked them all for their comments. I even had another man come up to me and say"you are always dressed so sharply for church and look at how others dress so sloppily". I thanked him for his comment. He also said that "you really have a very extensive wardrobe to choose from". I said " yes, I have 3 closets full of clothes and I also store out of season clothing in totes in the basement and then switch when the season changes from the totes to my closets and back-n- forth" First stop after church was to Lowe's to look at things I needed for a project that I am working on in my garage. Nothing unusual took place this morning. Next stop was to the supermarket. I had to go to the bakery to say hello to the Asian women that always says how nice I dress on Sunday, morning. As soon as she saw me she came out from behind the counter where she was working to look at me. Again she complimented me on my look. She then asked "are you wearing heels too?" I said take a look and I lifted my pant leg to reveal my heel and fishnet hose I was wearing. She replied "you very nice looking, today". I thanked her for her comments. At that same time an acquaintance of mine stopped to say hello to me. She said to him "That I was always dressed so very nice". He replied "look at me in my sweats" she smiled with a big grin and I just chuckled. I exchanged my good day's which each one and went to finish my shopping. As I got near the checkout line I met the head cashier who see me in heels a lot. As she looked down at my shoes I promptly obliged to lift my pant leg to reveal my whole heel and my fishnet hose. She just smiled and I winked at her. I finished my checkout and left the store. One more quick stop to Office Depot and noting nothing unusual this morning, I headed home with a good feeling after another great heeling event!!!!! Happy Heeling, bluejay .

  12. Another heeling event. Saturday. March, 17, 2012 (St. Patrick's Day) In honor of the day I decided to push the envelope a bit! I wore my "Metro-Style" womens wide leg capri jeans in black. I added a bright green "Izod" polo shirt (green in honor of the day) with my, "Chadwicks" black patent leather loafer pumps with a 3 1/2" heel(one of my favorite pair of heels) and added black fishnet thigh-hi hose. I looked in my full length mirror and liked the look. Since it was a very warm evening in mid-March a jacket was not necessary. My heels were really showing off and of course the fishnet hose added to the attraction. I only had a couple of stops to make this evening as it was just beginning to get dark. First stop was to Kay Jewelers to pick up a jewelery repair. I got out of my car and just walked the 100' to the entrance. I did not pass anyone on the way into the store. As I entered Kay's I didn't see any other customers in the store, as I walked up to the counter one of the women clerks came out to greet me. I am on a first name basis with all the clerks including the one male and also the store manager. Most of the ladies know that I wear heels and make no issue about it. But tonight, I was wearing not only heels but added the fishnet hose. They have seen me in heeled sandals with capris but this was a first! She did look me over to see my entire outfit, and said what a lovely ensemble for St. Patrick's Day. As the other clerk came from the back she also looked me over too. So I said what do you ladies think?, give me your honest opinion please. Well the second one to come out muttered "It's a different look for a man" and the other lady added that "We know that you like to wear heels, but tonight your look is very"Sexy Looking" I said, am I pushing it a bit with the capris, heels and fishnet hose?", to which one replied, " I like the look and if your are comfortable with it then it's alright with me". We then proceeded to have a conversation about the merits of wearing fishnet hose. I asked both ladies (both about 40) if they also wear fishnet hose, upon which they both replied yes. I told them That I always like to wear fishnet hose but mostly under jeans or dress pants and rarely as so openly as tonight. That concluded the conservation. I paid for my repair and upon leaving said, that it was great talking to you ladies about fashions, that most men would never wear or couldn't care less about. the one replied please surprise us the next time you come in. (Incidentally I also wore a lot of jewelery including, watch, matching bracelet and necklace and matching anklet on my right ankle. I also had on 7 finger rings and my wedding band too). Walking to my car I passed a couple going to Radio Shack, The woman did a complete turnaround after we passed and said to her male partner " Did you see that guy dressed like that?" I didn't hear his reply as I was entering my car then. My next stop was to the supermarket to get things that my wife had listed for me. Since this was a different Supermarket than the one I frequent on Sunday mornings, I didn't know what to expect, as I am not in that market with heels that often. I grabbed a cart which gave me some extra confidence to shop. The store was not that crowded on a Saturday night at the 9 o'clock hour. I proceeded to pick up the items on my wife' s list. I passed other shoppers but did not notice or hear any negative looks or comments about my appearance tonight. I got in the checkout line everything went ok. I paid the bill and was exiting the store when I heard a comment from behind, "Get a look at him". I assumed he was talking about me, but I didn't turnaround to look to see who he was. I just kept on walking to my car, put the groceries in the trunk and headed home. I had a very enjoyable evening out and about with MY heels!!!!!!! Happy Heeling, bluejay

  13. Great outing! My experience with Payless has always been good. I also like DSW , their staff is always helpful, especially if they see you in heels or know that you wear heels. It's always a pleasure to go to a shoe store that is not worried about a man wearing heels on trying them on in the store. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  14. Over the last 2 months Ive bought 2 pairs of heels, nothing special. But today I bought the pair that Ive been inlove with since I saw them last year November. They never had my size, but today they were on special and they had my size :wavey:

So finally bought them and wow, what a dream they are to walk in.So soft and comfortable.

I love the color blue of those peeptoe pumps. Late last fall I bought a pair of royal blue patent leather peeptoe pumps with some red trim on the heels, from DSW Shoe store, on their clearance rack for about 60% off. I did wear them out once,. But when winter set in they were put away till spring. I will be wearing them soon with a new pedicure with red polish!

    Happy Heeling,

  15. Hi - Good morning, I took some pictures of me wearing my Aldo over knee boots with skinny jeans, this morning!

    I love these boots!!

    :wavey:

They look great on you. I like that look myself and have worn my Nine West 4" stiletto heel boots over my skinny jeans many times!

    Happy Heeling,

  16. Another heeling event. Sunday, March 11, 2012 Today I paired cininamin colored dress shirt with tie, dark tan Dockers slacks, dark brown curdaroy blazer with my Tahari brown patent croco loafer pumps with 3" stacked heel and brown knee-hi hose. No topcoat needed today as it was 50*F at 7am. First, as always on Sunday, morning was to church. Nothing unusual not even one comment this morning . I was a bit disappointed at that. Next stop was to the supermarket to do some food shopping. I first went to the bakery department to get some goodies A couple of the bakery people know me from seeing me regularly and ofter comment about my appearance. This morning an Oriental woman in her 40's came over to me and said that she wants to appologize to me about her comment to me the Sunday before when she said that I looked like the "Italian Mafia" because of the leather fashions I wore that Sunday.(read my post of Sunday, March 4, 2012). She said that she meant no harm to me saying that and hoped that I was not offended by what she said. I told her that I thought that she was just joking around and did not take her comment seriously. She said that I am always dressed so nice and that she wanted me to know that. She also said that the other workers also have commented about my appearance on Sunday mornings. I then thanked her for those comments she made. I moved a little closer to her so she could see what I was wearing this morning. At that point she said "look at those nice shoes that you are wearing". At that point I lifted my pant leg to reveal my heeled pump I was wearing. She then said " you are wearing heels". I said, " yes I am". She said "do you like to wear heels" and I replied yes, very much. then she said that they looked very nice on me and they really looked nice with my outfit. I thanked her for her comments and told her that I wear heels most of the time that I am out, dressed up. I also told her that I would show her my shoes or heeled boots in the future if she would like to see them. She replied that she would like that. Then I went about to finish my shopping, with nothing out of the ordinary taking place. Next stop was to Wal-Mart to do some shopping. As I entered the store the usual greeter was not standing at the entrance. As I neared the produce department, there she was standing and said the usual "Good Morning, Sir". At that point I went near her as I see her quite often as the Sunday, morning greeter. She then said to me that I would like to compliment you on your appearance. You are always dressed so nice, you must be a businessman. I told her that I like to dress up on Sundays as I wear work clothes in the job that I do all week long. She said that she always liked my appearance when she has the greeter's job. I noticed that she kept looking down at the floor in front of me,so I knew that she was looking at my shoes. At that point I lifted my pant leg to totally reveal my heels and then said, "do you like my shoes?". She seemed startled at first but then said that she has noticed my heels on other ocassions. I told her that I like to wear heels very much upon which she said that she recently read an article in the newspaper about men wearing heels. I said yes I know the article that she was referring to. She said that I was making a fashion statement. I said yes that it could be but, I really like wearing heeled shoes. I told her that my wife approves of it and that we even have some matching pairs of heels that we do wear together. It is fun for the both of us. She also stated that I am not the only man that she has seen in the store in heels. I said as time goes on she will see much more of that. I also said that in the 1600's men wore the heeled shoes. The more nobility of the man the higher the heel he would wear. Also if she remembered in the 1970's the disco era and the men that wore the heeled platform shoes. At which she replied that one of the guys that she was dating then wore those type of shoes along with many others at the time. I then told her that was a great time and that I still have a pair of those platform heels and that a couple years ago Payless Shoes offered them on their website sales for purchase. After that nice conversation with her I thanked her for her comments and told her that I would show her my heeled footwear in future store visits. She replied I will be looking forward to it. The rest of the shopping trip in Wal-Mart went uneventful. It was a nice Sunday morning out and about dressed and wearing MY heels. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  17. Hi bluejay,

Just curious are you using Microsoft Internet Explorer 9. That browser is having major issues with the internet. I would up dumping it. Now using Google Chrome. Great speed and no problems. I highly recommend it.

    Shafted,

I use Mozilla Firefox . Never had problems before. Only problem is with HHP.

  18. The other day I was in Home Depot to get some materials for a project that I am working on. I was in working clothes, nothing exciting and not wearing heels. When I went to checkout a young female clerk in her 20's was waiting to check me out. I immediately noticed her finger nails and what a great look they had. I said to her that I thought her nails looked very pretty. She said that she did them herself the other night. I told her that they looked like they were done professionally. After she rang up the sale and since no one was in line behind me she proceeded to tell me the whole process of doing the nail art work on her fingers, from start to finish. It took her a few minutes to explain the process to me. When she finished telling me of the complete process and it was quite detailed I told her that she had did a beautiful job on her nails. I also said that I hope your husband or boy friend appreciated your hard work and paid you a compliment. She said she was not married and that her boyfriend never noticed her nails until she mentioned something about it to him. She said he looked and said nothing. I said he surely should of commented about the nice look to her. She said that other than a girlfriend of her's no one until me, commented on her nails. I told her that was a shame because she did such a great job. She thanked me for my compliments and since there still was no one in line I kept the conversation going by telling her that I do my own nails in clear polish every Sunday morning before going out. I also told her that I sometimes do my little pinkies in color since I let the nails grow long on them. I have colored them bright red, blue and purple at times. She seemed eager to hear more from me, so I told her that I also polish my toes too. I do it myself or my granddaughter does it for me,. I do it in clear usually but have done it in color a few times mostly, red, blue and purple colors, I especially like red as it really highlights the toes when wearing sandals. At first my wife was not to keen on my toenail polish but she has come to accept it now as a part of me. This spring I am looking forward to going to get my first professional pedicure, I told her. All she said was,"Wow".Since someone had come into her line I bid her a good day, she said see you again soon, and the next time I see you I hope to see that little pinky polished in color and maybe this summer see you in sandals with your toes polished too. I replied that I might get some off comments from all the "Macho Men" that shop here. She replied that if she hears a negative comment directed at me she will come to defend me and tell them that I like the look on him. I said thanks as I exited the store. Another nice conversation about something that is considered taboo for men. As you can see there are some women that can accept and appreciate what some men like to wear or do that is not considered manly. Happy heeling, bluejay

  19. I wear hosery most of the time except when at work . I wear work boots and heavy socks . When I go out with heels I wear pantyhose, thigh-hi's and knee-hi's and trouser socks with boots and with my male shoes and dress boots too. Recently I bought some suspender pantyhose to wear. They are much easier to deal with when going to the restroom. I had bought suspender pantyhose from Fredricks of Hollywood Store a couple years ago, but their price now is about $16.00 per pair since they have added a lacey top to them. I found an online site that had them for $5.00 per pair. I bought the last 6 pair that they had. Their quality was ok but not as good as those from Fredricks. I get about 3 or 4 wearings out of a pair of the cheaper ones. The Fredricks ones seem to last forever. Happy heeling, bluejay

  20. Re: the posting of pictures None of my pictures were deleted. The problem that I am having is after I select pictures off my computer on the browsing screen, I hit the upload click and await the ok from HHP . My screen says task completed but no pictures were uploaded to HHP. When I first posted pictures months ago, I had no problems. But in the last 5 or 6 months only a few times was I able to post the pictures to my post. So I will try again in the future. Happy Heeling, bluejay
