  1. Well it's about time to post a new heeling event for me. I have been out heeling but have been too busy to post. Sunday, March 4, 2012 I chose to wear charcoal grey dress pants, with bright royal blue silky look shirt with matching tie and black leather 3 button blazer. I paired this outfit with my Aersoles black stretch leather knee boots with a 3" block heel and black thigh-hi hose. Since it was a cold Sunday morning, about 15*F , I added my black leather top coat, black leather dress hat and gloves. First stop as always on a Sunday morning, was to church. Only one remark made to me upon my exit was about the color of my shirt being quite appropriate for the season of Lent, by the minister. I thanked him for his comment but the shirt was royal blue and not purple the color of the Lenten season. Next stop was to the Supermarket to get some needed groceries. Nothing unusual happened. The head cashier greeted me as I entered the checkout line and looked down at my feet, she has seen me in heels many times. To oblige her look I lifted my pant leg so she could get a better look at my heeled boots and she just smiled and nodded to me. Next stop was to Lowe's to get some shelf brackets for a new shelf, I am putting up. Very few people there on a Sunday, morning. No comments or odd looks that day. I next went to Walmart to get some office supplies that I needed. As I was walking down the main aisle to the rear where the office supplies are I encountered a very stylishly dressed woman about 50. She was wearing a long leather coat with short leather cropped pants and about 3" stiletto heeled boots which really made her outfit stand out. I just had to make a comment to her about her appearance this morning. As we passed in the aisle I told her that I really liked her look this morning and that she was really dressed to kill this morning at Walmart. She smiled and thanked me for the compliment. She said that I too, was dressed to kill at Walmart on a Sunday morning. That was the beginning of a 10 minute conversation on leather fashions. She said to me that I like your leather look and your boots really add to the look. I replied that she was the best dressed shopper in Walmart this morning. I thanked her for her comments and we went on our way. As she walked down the aisle away from me I could not help and turn around to catch another glance of her, That made my day! After that encounter with her everything else was just ho-hum. One last stop was to get a fill-up of gas with the price now at $3.93 a gallon it took $60.00 to fill the tank on my car. Another nice day heeling and shopping. Happy heeling, bluejay Wednesday, March 7, 2012 I had to go to the mall to pay some bills and to also go to Verizon Wireless to take care of a problem with my cell phone I wore a orange color Izod polo shirt with black Metrostyle ladies boot cut jeans, a light black leather jacket and my NineWest stiletto heeled ankle boots with a 4" heel and a 3/4" platform and a pair or black Hue trouser socks . I also wore lots of jewelery finger rings, necklace with matching bracelet all in silver color. First stop was to Verizon Wireless. The store was recently remodeled and a new tile floor installed. As I walked across the new tile floor the clicking of my heels was quite loud. There were a few other customers in the store at the time and I saw a couple of persons turn around to look to see what the noise was all about. I proceeded to the self paying machine to pay my bill. I sensed that eyes were on me. I finished the payment and walked out heels clicking on that tile floor again. I looked in the direction of the counter and got a puzzled look from one of the girl agents . I just smiled at her and made my exit. Next stop was to the mall and to the Bon-Ton store. Heels again were clicking . I encountered some stares and maybe double takes but no comments. The same took place at Macy's store. I did notice a couple of chuckles from two teenage girls at Macy's but I paid no attention to them as I went about my business. All in all, it was a nice night of heeling except for the fact that my feet and legs are not used to heeling in stilettos too long. Happy heeling, bluejay I wanted to add some pictures but I have been having trouble uploading to HH PLace off my computer lately.

  2. THBG, I liked picture #3 the best. Standing in the foreground of that American Flag flying made that picture fantastic! Your outfits looked great. Keep up with your great styling outfits. I especially like the ones paired with leather, as I wear a lot of leather fashions myself. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  3. Here's the original photo from donnawanna's link so no one will have to chase it through that website.

    Shafted,

Thanks for posting that link. Those red boots look great over jeans. I have a pair of the same color red, but they have a 3" block heel. I have worn them under, dark denim jeans a couple times out heeling and also with red jeans, they are saying to the public " look at my boots ". I have received only positive comments when wearing my bright red boots!

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  4. THBG, I really liked your outfit in picture 2559. That's the kind of leather look that I like to wear myself. With me it's mostly black stretch leather boots with 3" block heels. Occasionally I do wear a pair of Nine West 4" stiletto boots but I am not as steady on my feet wearing them. Keep on posting! I also like your pictures!!!!!!! Happy Heeling, bluejay

  5. Welcome back HF. i certainly missed your posts and pictures. I even remarked about your absence in one of my posts in the last month or so. I too am heeling several times a week but mostly in men's fashions, but always wearing my womens' jeans when I am in jeans. I will be updating my " Heeling with bluejay" thread soon. ONCE AGAIN WELCOME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Heeling' bluejay

  6. I wear anklets all the time with heels or sandals. I wear mine on my right leg always. I also wear them over hosery too. I like the look especially with black hose. I wear them with knee-hi's, thigh-hi's, pantyhose and trouser socks. I have several anklets both silver and gold of various weights and chain thickness that total 8. I like to wear them very much. I even like to show them off when seated or when I raise my pant leg to show off my heels. I do not wear them with boots or ankle booties as they would not be to visible. Happy heeling, bluejay

  7. bluejay,, Sears is an iconic American company losing money hand over fist right now. They haven't updated stores and, as a result, have fallen behind the proverbial power curve. They were once headquartered in the world's tallest building (sears Tower) in downtown Chicago but then moved to suburban Hoffman Estates, IL in a money-saving move. They have considered moving here to Wisconsin as our state is more pro-business than Illinois now as a means to stay viable. And you run into this kind of jagoff giving you grief over which gender they think the socks are intended for. The standard line to cut these people down to size is that "Money has no gender in anyone's mind". This should do it. Any sale is a good sale in this turbulent economy and some salespeople need reminding of this. HappyinHeels

    Happyinheels,

This event in Sears did not happen recently. It was about 5 or 6 years ago when I found this great sale on discontinued trouser socks. This saleslady, probably in her sixties thought that I had picked out the wrong socks for a man. After I told her that I knew the socks were trouser socks and they were for me, she rang up the sale, upon finishing she said that she has sold them to other men and has even sold pantyhose, thigh-hi's and knee-hi's to men, to which I responded that I also like to wear hosery too, with heels and my boring "men's shoes".

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  8. A great read bluejay. Skinny jeans and stiletto boots my are a favorite look for myself as well.

Great outing and isn't it great when a woman who is also wearing high heels compliments you while you are wearing high heels. And as far as the looking and whispering, enjoy those moments. Their probably very envious of you. Thanks for sharing.

Great read and outings bluejay. I have yet to interact with a women wearing heels the way you did. That is always one of my wishes when I go out. And I think others here will agree, and share my sentiments.

Thanks guys, for your comments. I tried to post some pictures of those two last heeling events especially the pics with the Skinny jeans and stiletto heeled boots but I could not post them or they would not upload to HH Place. I don't know what I am doing wrong or not doing right, but I am trying to post pics of my heeling events. They are on my computer but will not upload to HH place.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  9. Well done tallguyinheels! You look great in all the pictures posted! You have a great sense of style and color matching is fantastic. I also like your choice of boots. I have only gone out in a skirt a couple of times. I have a leather one that goes to the top of my knee. I bought a black skirt that goes to just below my knee, but I have not worn it out in public yet. But with the encouraging pictures of you in your skirts, I will be doing the same soon. Incidentally, You posted that you shop at the " Mall Of America" in Minneapolis. I was there in late August this past summer. I took the train from the Downtown area to the mall. I did find some great shoe buys there especially at Nordsrom's Rack. I bought 3 pair of heels there for really clearance prices! Some where on the thread "Who has bought some new shoes" I have a post on that shopping trip to the "Mall of America" Happy Heeling, bluejay

  10. Today at work I was "discovered" by the secretary. I was wearing black trouser socks with my regular black mens oxford dress shoes and black pants. While reading a horribly written proposal, I started to slouch at my desk which resulted in my my feet sticking out from under the desk. When she came into my office to give me more proposals, she looked at my feet she said "nice nylons". When the socks are pulled up they have a slight shear look to them. I must have turned red because she immediately followed up with "Its cool". I thought for a moment on how could I convince her they were just "thin socks". As I sat there going "uh, uh" attempting to say something, she asked if my wife knows I'm taking her things. I just started to laugh. She and my wife became very talkative at the Christmas party after a few glasses of wine. Guessing my wife may have said something, or was asked something, I told her the truth, I just like the feeling of the trouser sock over regular cotton socks. She flashed me a great big smile and returned to her desk.

When I got home and told my wife what happened, she too started to laugh. She told me that at the party, the secretary asked her if I was "different". She was convinced she saw me in tights once before. My wife said she just redirected the question and never answered it. I told her I want to get a pair of red tights and wear them at the office just to play some mind games with secretary. I'm hoping this will provide some great material for future posts.

I wouldn't worry about her discovery. If I am not wearing hosery I am wearing trouser socks even with my men's shoes. I once had a clerk at Sears remark to me when I was purchasing some really discounted trouser socks at a clearance sale" those are ladies trouser socks", I said that I know and they were for me. They are really no different than men's thin nylon dress socks. She replied back that she has sold those trouser socks to other men and even some pantyhose and knee-hi's too. I told her that I like to wear pantyhose, thigh-hi's and knee-hi's too and who said that they are for women only. She did not reply to my statement and only said thank-you, have a nice day and enjoy wearing whatever you like, I said "Thank-you" , I do enjoy wearing them!

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  11. Well its been a while since I last posted a heeling event. I have been out heeling at least 3-4 times a week, but I have been too busy to record them. I will be recording my two most recent events. Sunday, January 15, 2012 As it was Sunday my first outing was to church. I wore brown, dress Docker's pants with a pale yellow dress shirt , with tie, brown plaid sport coat, heavy overcoat with lining (the temperature was o* F outside). I paired this with my Aerosoles brown stretch knee boots, 2 3/4" block heel, with a dark brown color pantyhose. At church no one noticed my heeled boots even while seated (my pants could of been a bit longer for the heels) the heeled boots were quite visible, but that's the way I like them so that they can be seen by others. I am not trying to hide my heels! On my way out I did encounter the woman that made the favorable comments of a couple weeks ago regarding my dark red blazer with the dark red NineWest boots that matched in color. This week she commented that she liked the brown color cordinations. She also said she liked my brown boots and that they went very well with my outfit. Again as in the past I lifted my pant leg to reveal the boot. I told her these were Aerosoles , that I had on this week. She commented "you must have a very extensive wardrobe". I thanked her for her comments about my appearance. She said " I will be watching to see what you will be wearing next week" I told her that I plan out what I am going to wear with great detail and yes I do have a very extensive wardrobe. Next stop on my schedule was the supermarket that I shop at to get some needed essentials. Nothing unusual , no stares or odd glances at a man wearing heeled boots. My final stop was to Walmart to get some office supplies. Again the store was not very crowded for a Sunday morning. I did get a nice hello from the door greeter who commented "looking good today, today, sir. I finished my shopping and headed home. Another nice day wearing heels, except for the cold weather! Wednesday, January 18, 2012 I had some errands to take care of and I wanted to make it a heeling event. I decided that I was going to push the window a bit tonight. I wore my Newport News women's skinny black jeans, with a bright yellow, Izod polo shirt, my heavy weight black leather jacket with heavy lining (it was still cold outside maybe about 15*F) and paired that with black sheer thigh-hi hose and my fairly new NineWest black knee boots with a 4" stiletto heel. I tucked my skinny jeans inside my boots. I looked in my full length mirror and like the look. First stop was to Kay Jeweler's to pick up my wife's watch repair. The ladies always greet me by my first name and have seen me in heels many times. But tonight was different with skinny jeans tucked into my stiletto heeled boots. The manager spotted me and came to greet me. She looked me over from head to toe, smiled and said "Wow". I noticed that she was wearing a pair on animal print ,swede knee boots with about 4" stiletto heels. The boots looked great on her and I told her that. She smiled again and said thanks to me but she said that my boots had a higher heel than her's. So we then had to compare heels sizes together. One of the other saleswomen said that it was a tie and that we both looked good in our heeled boots. I told them that I appreciate that they are able to wear stiletto heels all day, as I was getting a little tired walking in the stiletto heeled boots. Another clerk remarked that I was quite a heeler just by wearing the stiletto's. Again I thanked them all for their comments. We chatted about fashion for a few minutes until another customer came into the store. I picked up the watch repair and headed out the door. Since I was near the HomeDepot store I had to go in to get some finish nails for a project I am working on. The store was not crowded as it was about 9pm. I went to the nails aisle. Behind me I heard some whispering about a man in heeled boots. I picked up my nails and turned around just in time to see this middle age couple staring at me. I just smiled at them and went about my business to the check-out. The girl at the check-out looked me over. She didn't say a word, but I sensed her eyes on me until I went out the door. All in all it was an enjoyable evening out heeling in skinny jeans and stiletto boots. I will be doing this again! Happy Heeling, bluejay

  12. Speaking of HappyFeet it has been a long time (months) since we last heard from him! Since he got married we don't ever hear from him. Bubba, you are right on when you said that HappyFeet could really put outfits together. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  13. Happy New Year to all!!!!!! Sunday, January 1, 2012 After a short night of sleep (read my post on "Heeling on New Year's Eve") it was time to go to church and my Sunday errands. I wore black dress pants with a white, mock turtleneck shirt, dark red leather blazer, paired with my Nine West dark red knee boots with a 3" stacked heel, black sheer thigh-hi hose and plenty of jewelery to compliment the look on New Year's Day. First, was to church, attendance was only half the usual amount, maybe because everyone was tired from celebrating the night before. No unusual looks or comments. On my way out the door I did get a comment from a lady that said " I like your outfit especially the matching boots and blazer, wherever did you get them, that they match in color" I thanked her for her comments and said "I guess I was just lucky to get them to match in color". I lifted my pant leg to show off my knee boot and told her they were Nine West boots. She just said that they looked great on me. Again I thanked her for the comment. Next stop to the supermarket to purchase food so that I could cook brunch for the family. Eggs Benedict was on the brunch menu today. other than some Happy New Year greetings, nothing unusual took place at the store. One more stop at Walmart to get some other needed items. Usually the store is crowded on a Sunday,am but not today. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. I did get one comment from the greeter at the door upon leaving "Happy New Year and I like your outfit this morning, nice color combo". I smiled and said, "thanks". So it was back home to cook brunch for the family. Another nice heeling event on New Year's Day! Happy Heeling, bluejay

  14. I did go to a New Year's Eve party at our friends house. About 6 couples were there. We were gathered at their basement bar for the evening. I wore my" Born" shoe booties with a 3" stacked heel (not very feminine looking) with black sheer thigh-hi hose, with black leather dress jeans, purple silky dress shirt and black leather dress vest. I did like this look very much. I just love to wear leather fashions with my heels! I did get a couple positive comments from the ladies of course, on my appearance. One even brushed her foot against my leather pants while seated on a bar stool. She whispered to me " I love the feel of leather" and smiled. I thanked her for her comment and smiled back. It was a very nice party with plenty of drinks, good food and snacks and great conservation. Of the six couples that attended we all take turns at hosting the New Year's Eve party each year. Our turn comes up in 2013. Incidentally my wife had to work the evening shift and did not get there until 12:45am. We finally said our Good-Byes and left for home at about 3:30am. Another nice heeling event for New Year's Eve. Only problem, I had to get up on Sunday am for Church. Read my next heeling event on my thread," Heeling with bluejay" Happy Heeling and Happy New Year, bluejay

  15. Hoping that everyone had a very Merry Christmas. I did get to wear heels on Christmas Eve. I wore black dress pants with a silky red dress shirt with matching red tie, black leather blazer and my Payless chunky heeled oxfords with a 3" block heel. Since I was going to be with a lot of the family at Church and at family Christmas Eve dinner I wore a very conservative pair of heels. Just the same I was wearing heels! No comments, no strange looks I guess I was accepted for what I was wearing. I hope that everyone enjoyed their Christmas. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  16. Sunday, December 18, 2011 This morning I wore my new red leather blazer, with my black Docker's dress pants, red and blue checked shirt with a red and black tie and black pocket square, paired with my new Nine West dark red knee boots with a 2 1/2" block heel. I must say this outfit looked great on me in the mirror. Again as usual for a Sunday morning Church services was the first stop. I had several comments about my appearance this morning from both men and women. Each one liked my new red leather blazer and some commented how appropriate it was for the season,. I did get a couple of comments about my new dark red boots and how well they matched my blazer. It was a shame that I had to wear a top coat and gloves , but it was 17* this morning, kind of cold to go out without a coat. After all the positive comments about my appearance at church I went to do my errands for the day. First stop to the supermarket to do some food shopping from the list that my wife gave me last night. As I entered the store and walked on the tile floor I heard the sound of my heels clicking away. I noticed a couple of stares only to look the other way after they saw me. In the checkout line, the cashier that waits on me very often and has seen me in heels many times took a quick glance at my feet and I said "what do you think of my new boots and new red leather blazer" I proceeded to lift my pant leg to show her my boots. She said that" I was looking good!" especially how the color was matched to the Christmas Season. I thanked her for her comments and went about my way. A couple of other stops on my way home but nothing out of the ordinary took place this morning. I had a great time wearing my new red leather blazer and matching boots! Happy Heeling, bluejay

  17. Wednesday, December 15,2011 I wore black Newport News , women's bootcut jeans with Izod red polo shirt and my mid weight black leather jacket paired with my Dansko, black heeled clogs with a 3" heel and black fishnet knee-hi hose. Out to do some Christmas shopping, my first stop was to Macy's to take advantage of some great sales. First , I had to return an item to the men's dept. I saw long lines at the registers (time of the year) and looking at which one to get in line, I was greeted by a sales associate who offered her assistance to help with my return. She took me to the shoe dept. and took care of my return. She asked what else she could do for me tonite? I told her I was going to do some Christmas shopping and was comming to the shoe dept. to look for some of the UGG type looking winter boots for myself. She countered that I was one of several males lately to look at that type of fashion look that is very popular with women these days. As our conversation continued she said "traditionally women start fashion trends and some men seem to follow those trends as they become more popular". I noticed her looking at my shoes and i lifted my pant leg to reveal my heel and the fishnet hose. She took it all in stride only commenting that she like the look on me. As it turned out she was the assistant store manager, about 40ish and we continued our conversation about fashions that I liked and what she liked. I asked her what she thought about men wearing heels and she said that if a man wanted to do so it was fine with her. I thanked her for comments and feed back about men in heels. I spent over 1 hour in the store bought some presents for the family, but I was not able to get the Ugg looking type boot for myself. I was able to find the boot at the men's dept. at Bon Ton and since that boot has no real heel men's and women's verisons are very similar looking. That is a new look that I will be trying with the jeans tucked inside the boots in the future. I stopped in several other stores in the mall, but with no funny looks or comments. I think everyone was too busy with their Christmas shopping tonight to notice a man wearing heels! Another nice heeling event for myself. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  18. Since I have been very busy lately with work, family and Christmas activites I have not been able to post any of my heeling adventures. I want to bring you up to date of a couple heeling events and include some pictures. Sunday, December 11, 2011 I wore black Dockers dress pants, with a dark blue dress shirt and tie, black herringbone color sport coat with my Tahari black patent leather loafer pumps and black knee-hi hose. First stop as always on Sunday mornings was church. No strange looks at all but I blend in well as the other church goers know that I am always fashionably dressed each and every Sunday. I did get a positive comment from the Minister telling me that he liked my shiny shoes that I was wearing bringing back his memories from his days in the US Navy and wearing spit shinned shoes with dress his uniforms. I thanked him for his comment and related to him about similar experiences of mine whenIi was in the Navy too. He said that we will have to discuss our Navy experiences some time in the future. I agreed! After church a few stops but nothing out of the ordinary took place at the other stops. Another nice heeling event for me. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  19. I bought these new Nine West boots a couple week ago on sale at the Nine West Outlet store for a great price. Original price was $169.00 marked down to $89.00 with an additional 20% off which brought the price to about $75.00 with the tax. Tried them on . Great fit. Enough room to tuck in my jeans and not too roomy to look baggy. I decided to buy the very dark red color as I have some shoes in that color and decided I wanted boots in that color. I wore them for the first time today. There will be a report on them in my Heeling with bluejay thread. Happy Heeling, bluejay

  20. Good job, my friend! Bravo to you on your latest adventures!

Thanks, JeffB. Coming from you that is a nice compliment.

For some reason I am having trouble uploading pictures on some of my posts. I have tried to post pictures on all of my heeling events. Sometimes I can and other times I can't.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  21. Good Morning All,

Yesterday found me on a business trip again. And so I wore a knee lenght skirt with off-black hose and black pumps from Aldo. Very uneventfull. Michelle, the bartender wanted to take my picture to send to her girl friend. I told her as long as she sends it to me also, she can take pictures. See below. Have a great day heeling everyone.

    Henri

Very nice Henri. I like your style, especially the anklet. I wear ankle bracelets often with my heels even if I am wearing jeans or pants. They often show off when you are seated or bend over. I wear mine on my right ankle. I see your's on the left ankle. I really don't know the what the difference is. Only a personal preference, I guess.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay

  22. Sounds like you had a fun bluejay. I bet you could have been a bit more daring on heels, but considering the setting a wise choice.

Thanks for your comments,Shafted. Some of the people at the party have seen me in heels before ,but the heels were all in the conservative range. I have never experienced a negative comment on my heeling from this group of people.

    Happy Heeling,

    bluejay
