I'm not entirely sure which he was referring to, but the dunks are definitely well over 2" in steepness--I'd say at least 2 1/4." It's very difficult to get an accurate measurement due to the nature of the design. I don't have the Adidas, but from the pictures, it definitely looks like the wedge is much smaller.

The 1 inch came from their website.

I live in a seaside town too. I still don’t wear shorts - not all that many people here do

I think our weather might be warmer and drier than yours.  The majority of the men here wear shorts most of the summer. Even the CEOs , CFOs, COOs, etc. of major Silicone Valley companies.

I like both these styles.  They look very much like the original versions of the shoes, but have a nice platform inside.

Those are only 1 inch.  I have 2.5 inch heels in my steve madden sneakers.

  3. To be completely honest, I have only worn my knee highs with shorts 2 or 3 times during each summer.  Most of the time it is shorts with wedges.  Do people notice? Hell yes. If they ask I tell them to "mess with their mind."  And then ask them "Is it working?"  🙃

Yes, its a bold look and not for the weak of heart.  A lot of fun, but your legs can get hot.

  4. It was very obvious, easy for me.  I had a significant injury and spent two 3+ week stays in hospitals. Two major operations and around 19 months before I returned to minimal work.  Years later I had another injury and spent 5+ months on a knee scooter.  I had to raise my heels 4 inches for my injury to heal.  During which time I found that wearing heels resulted in a major reduction in the pain in my hip and rest is history.

Now for a funny possible fix to plantar fasciitis.  A friend had it bad and someone taped the bottom of his feet with duct tape.  Yes, duct tape.  Changed it once or twice a week and his plantar fasciitis went away.

  5. When I started switching to women's shoes for fit, I started with 2 - 3 inch heels. I was very concern about the click.  I even had one pair of my Bare Traps re-soled to eliminate the sound. Then I noticed many of the male executive's shoes also clicked, aka the power click. So that was the only shoes I have had silenced.

At this point in my life I enjoy the sound.  One day you will too.

I wear levis 511s, have one pair of 510s.  Will surely have a look at levis 311s the next time I'm in the levis store.  My 511s look silly tucked inside my boots, need something much tighter.  Would love to wear leggings, but this old "dad bod" just can't pull off that look, would be a "fail", as the kids would say

Also check out some of the high waist jeans.  The Levi's sales associates know which women jeans that men buy. You wont be the first nor the last man to purchase women's jeans

Look youngster, aka, @pebblesf, this older dad body uses leggings as my base layer when skiing. After a day on the slopes, I take off the top layer of ski clothing and exchange the ski boots for heels.  I drive to where ever I go in the leggings (and heels).  Check in at hotels, stop at stores on the way home, etc.

Today I have a pedicure and have leggings on.  They are easier to pull up the leg since I get a foot and leg message as part of the pedicure

  7. I write science textbooks among other things. I use a very special software that can handle very complicated symbols.  It then can be translated in LATEX if need be. But LATEX is too unstable for what I write.

There isn't a large enough market for them to create an Apple version.

And I write for multiple publishers.

  8. I had polished gel fingernails for 3 years.  Loved them, but I got a nail fungus and had to get rid of the fungus before getting them done again. Then the pandemic hit my nail artist moved back home.  I still have a few acrylic fingernails to keep damage the nails together but haven't had them colored lately.  And I would get positive comets from all sexes, even come envy from men.

Heavy is a direct , literal translation from French. We use that world” lourd “ if many pixels for a better resolution. I don’t know the proper English world.

I tried to download Paint. But it seems that Microsoft and Apple are not a good match.

Here is an attempt with the maximum pixel reduction. I may try with a little less

You may want to try multiple (sequential) applications of this process.  Try looking for a photo app that uses the word "Canvas" and scale it with that program.  I don't have Apple any more.  Years ago my publishers forced me (paid me) to use a platform that was not compatible with Apple.

  10. I started out in the hide the heels mode.  I think we all do.  33 inch in-seams that left very little of the heel exposed.

After purchasing thigh high and knee high boots, hiding them under my pants just wasn't right, the look was completely wrong.  And why have these gorgeous boots and hide them anyway.  So I went to a Levi's store and tried on men's skinny jeans and women's skinny jeans. The women's 311 fit so much better. I also like their 311 corduroy pants.  These are low rise, so I had to get creative on where to put my stuff: keys, etc. The 311's are 30 inch in-seams.  I have several versions of Express jeans.  Some with 28 inch inseams, but with boots the shorter the better.  I have some HighFlex, and super soft types. And now have some high waist jeans.

Leggings and heels once in a while too.

And I wear my skinny jeans with my Steve Madden clogs all the time.

ha ha.....   Then I must be a moron too!!  I try and post pics and most of the time do not succeed.  I get some sort of an error message that I don't understand.  I am a low tech guy living in a high tech world.  And I love it.  Still have a flip phone, does not even do texts...

And I too try and wear heels every day, it's fun!!!   Smile....   sf

Your files are too big.  I normally first crop in a photo program and then shrink them by 80% in Paint.  There's nothing wrong with flip phones, I have one.  But you need HIGH heels.

Interesting you mention womens shoes fit better. I find exactly the same thing. Also mens shoes here start at a minimum size 6, and im more a 5 (which is one of the easiest sizes to find in womens shoes here.

My feet have thick and large toe boxes with thin heels, pear shaped. To find men's shoes that I could get my feet into, I would have to get US men's size 9.5 double wide. I wear US women's size 10 and sometimes 11.  Men's shoes are designed for flat rectangular feet, not the toe box thick pear shape of my feet.  My heels would then have 1/2 inch wiggle room on each side. Could never get the shoe tight enough around my heels.  Men's sandals never fit.  Hence many many ankle sprains (100's), broken joints, and strains.  I also have extremely high arches. My podiatrist laughs every time she sees my feet, she wants me to wear some heel, at least 2.5 in.

After my last ankle reconstruction, I searched (Uncle Google) for shoes that would fit my foot shape and it kept coming up with women's shoes. I had already started to wear women's sandals (finally a sandal that fit), so I tried some runners and they fit.  My heels no longer could slide inside the shoe.

Now when I go shopping, I might try on a pair just to see how it feels/looks.  It's fun and It's free (as long as you don't buy it).
