  1. Thin the herd but never purge. You will never find them again. Maybe store them in the attic/basement, just make sure the conditions are correct to keep the shoes in good shape.

I have bought several pairs in the early stages of my venture in women's shoes that just didn't fit and not my style, so those are gone. I gotten a lot better in identifying shoes that have almost no chance of fitting.  I now only add comfortable heels to my herd. If I buy them, then I have be able to wear to work, walk in them for 12 hours minimum.

  2. I was walk pass two women talking at a retirement party this afternoon. One woman asked the make of the boots the other had on. She said they were "Cathy Jean's" and was explaining that Cathy Jean was an now defunct store in the local (big) mall. As I walked by I said I have Cathy Jean boots (got them 2011). She couldn't understand how I could have a pair. Then I showed her the heels on the boots I had on.  My CJ's were a favorite pair, but they only have a 3 inch heel.

  3. You are lucky then. But I find high heel boots without a zipper hard to put on, to the point that I wont waste my time trying them on. I have high arches and large calves so boots are only viable when they have full zippers. Tried on a pair this noon, black faux suede with 4.5 inch heels. I could get them but I'm holding out for leather.

How big are those women your chatting with? Lol..

Various sizes, they just have big feet or their daughter/friend has big feet. Then you have women basketball players ...

  5. I often have women that see me in heels and want to know where I get my shoes. They get unhappy when they find out I have US size 10 women's and can go shopping almost everywhere. They can't.
