Well today is the day for the San Francisco pride parade and I get the amazing opportunity to be in it!
Work participates in the parade each year and now that I live out here in the Bay Area, I am seizing the moment!
I realize that some of you may think that wearing heels at the pride parade doesn’t help eliminate the stereotype that men in heels must be gay/bi.
However, I am going more to show support for my friends at work who identify as lqbtq. The plan is to have an awesome time and enjoy the day.
I am posting my two outfit choices below. The only difference is choice of pants. The weather states that it will likely be windy with a high in the 60s up in the city. This may cause me to want to wear the jeans versus shorts. Let me know what you think!

Thanks for putting the info on here. I am always on the lookout for guys in heels on there.
I wish I had those pink boots for the pride parade I am going to be in today!

Went out and about with the family this morning in the new 19” tall cowboy boots with 3.5” heels, and nobody paid particular notice. They look a lot like the other pair with 3” heels that I often wear, so I wasn’t expecting it to draw any attention really. But it feels good to keep building up heel height in nice footwear that doesn’t cause controversy with my wife over “girls’ shoes”.
Meanwhile, there’s been some good response to the boots on Reddit. I think there is a growing trend towards guys wearing higher heels, especially in boots and Cuban heels.
My post on reddit shows 0 on upvotes. I know there were a couple, but the down votes cancelled them out.

Wow, I have not posted in here since February? Sheesh, where does the time go?! The excuse is that work and family take most of my time. The truth is I have a tendency to be lazy and when there isn't much going on, I don't see a need to post about it.
However, I thought I would take a few minutes and post an update here to say, 'Hey, I am still here and still heeling!'
Since I last posted in February, there honestly has been little in the way of noticeable heeling, aside from my Converse wedges. Those things are just so darn comfy, and they go with everything!
The first thing I want to talk about is church. The church that my wife and I have been attending regularly since moving out to the Bay Area in California is wonderful. It is not 100% of what we like/want, but then it's not really supposed to be about us. It does do a great job of getting the message across, and we really enjoy the atmosphere and people that we attend with. Since we have been attending this church, I have worn my Converse wedges every Sunday. I usually wear my American Eagle kick boot jeans with them, so hardly noticeable, right? However, the nursery that our son is in during church has the same staff each week. They are a wonderful group of ladies who just adore and get so excited to see our son. Now I tend to be an observant person whereas my wife is not. Needless to say, there was one week where I caught one of the younger staff checking out my shoes, then looking up to see a guy wearing them. She didn't say she liked my shoes, but she didn't give a sneer or ugly look either. She smiled and we dropped him off. But when we came back to get him after the service had ended, I now noticed that her and another younger girl on the staff(when I say younger, these two girls are in their mid-20s I'd guess, so younger than me, lol) were checking out my shoes. I looked to see if there was any kind of response; nope, they just smiled and wished us a good week. Each week that I wear a different colored pair, they definitely make an effort to see which ones I am wearing.
To expand on church today, I did change it up a little bit. Seeing @JeffB and his posts about fashion free-styling made me realize that just because I don't wear "noticeable" heels, that doesn't mean I cannot post about them! So today I changed it up a bit, but it was the result of my 20 month-old son picking out my boots. I set out a pair of riding boots and a pair of 3" heeled boots. He chose the riding boots, so I decided to make it work. So today I did not have on but 1" heels, but it still felt great! They are my Frye Melissa back-zip riding boots. I wore my usual AE kick-boot jeans and my Old Navy top. Now I think the top maybe got a few looks, but my wife also noted that from straight on, it makes me look 'wider' than I really am, lol! I admit I have been wanting to find/wear some slimmer fitting tops, but I am still working on my gut and love handles... However, I noticed no looks from our friends in the nursery today. I guess I need to be more adventuresome next week!
I've got more to post about, including wearing heels to work for the first time! That will be in another post.- 4

I think I have posted before in another thread about my desire to one day start wearing heels to work. The new position I took within Tesla opens the door to that opportunity, but not fully just yet.
The majority of the time, I end up in a shop environment, wear I need shoes that have safety toes and are ESD safe. Because of this, I had bought women’s Red Wings because the men’s colors were boring. I had wanted to get a blue color, but they only had pink. I figured wth and got them anyway.
Now most recently, actually a week ago this past Friday, I decided to test the waters and just wear my Converse wedges. Now admittedly I probably am spending overall less time in the shop environment, but there’s always a chance. So I still took my Red Wings to work, but ended up wearing my wedges the entire day.
So to answer the question, so far only a 2.5” heel, but I hope by the time I am done in the shop environment, I’ll be at 4” heels!

I did not watch the awards show, but I was flipping through the gallery images that were on the Footwear News website and noticed Terry Crews wore what appear to be riding boots? Now they aren’t heeled nor very feminine appearing, but let’s face it, even riding boots aren’t commonplace among men’s fashion. This was kind of cool to see...

I did not realize that they had already filed for bankruptcy, but it appears they’ve been sold to a Chinese firm.

Welcome back!
I have bought boots as well from eBay, and I feel like I’ve come across your store on there.
What was your eBay user ID and what size heels/boots do you wear?

Well, it appears there is already a fall guide out for 2019.
I didn’t get through the entire gallery, but I must say that of what I did scroll through, only a couple really caught my eye that I liked.
It’s weird that it is barely spring time yet and we are already discussing the fall season, lol.
Feel free to have a look for yourself:

Good morning from the West Coast. I am not sure if this is the correct forum, but most mornings I indulge myself on Yahoo need to see what those fine folks have out there.
This morning I was rather surprised to find an article that took note of the fact that someone famous was wearing boots... in the rain!
One of the fashionable and royal seeethearts from across the pond was spotted wearing some high heeled boots in the rain... I guess that is very odd in the UK?
Anyway, I guess there wasn’t much going on...
Now in all fairness, it was brought over from a ‘footwear news’ website, but it was only the 5th story down...

So since I got the T-shirt from Old Navy, ive had a desire to start looking more in the “women’s” section at clothing stores. My pants are all from that side of the store, so I figure I’ll look for some more tops. Specifically I have been on the lookout for a new jacket.
Ive had a specific idea in mind, and it’s something like a knit jacket that’s not hooded, full front zip and pockets. I kind of like the moto styling, but the problem that I’ve run into is that none of the shops I’ve been in have anything of the sort, unless it’s a $100 or more jacket.
I have looked on Poshmark to get some ideas, but the trouble is finding something similar currently in a store. Because tops are new to me, there are so many different possible fits and sizes, that a large in one brand might fit like a medium in another. I have ventured over to sites like Macy’s to view their online catalog since they have a good return policy, but there were over 1000 jackets, and it wasn’t easy to filter down to some of the options I was looking for.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Well, I can officially say that I have my first top for everyday wear that wasn’t purchased from the men’s section! Recently my wife and I had gone out shopping and I had been on the lookout for a new jacket.
That still eludes me, but we ended up in Old Navy looking for stuff for her. In the back of my mind, this thread has been stirring. Mainly I have been envious that there are so many cute options for women and not much marketed to men.
Well my wife had tried on a shirt that she didn’t like on her, but I mentioned that it might look good on me. She agreed and I went and picked a couple of larger sizes out. Sure enough, a woman’s large fit quite well! It’s a “football style” shirt with some stripes on it.
Now it is not the first top I’ve bought out of a woman’s section. I did that around Christmas at Kohl’s when I got my sweater that said either Naughty or Nice on it. It is though the first one I will wear out on a regular basis. Nothing like entering into an exciting arena!

Well I didn’t post the rest of January, but it was uneventful as I only ended up wearing my Converse wedges.
In a different thread though, I had posted about my wife and I getting some new boots for each other on Valentine’s Day.
Well tonight was the night we wore them out together. Seeing as how the right boot is still snug on her calf, she opted to wear hers under jeans, as did I.
I wanted us to go out to a place called Lazy Dog which is a nice restaurant, usually with lots of people and an opportunity to show off the little bit of visible heel. Unfortunately they had a 45 minute wait just to get seated, which won’t fly with our 18-month old son. In all fairness, I was hungry and didn’t want to wait that long either.
We ended up at a chain that my wife hadn’t been to yet, Black Bear Diner. While we weren’t really over dressed, most everyone else was in tennis shoes or sandals. I only saw one woman in some flat heeled ankle boots. I did get a couple of looks at my heels, but no one seemed to laugh, make comments, etc., which again I consider a win.
This was also a first as I finally found a woman’s top that my wife and I both liked. It is a ‘football style’ t-shirt from Old Navy. I’ll talk about getting it in another thread.
Here are a couple of pictures.

If someone has ever come to my defense of wearing heels, they’ve certainly never informed me. The only thing I’ve had happen is people have asked other people about my shoe choices when they realized I was wearing women’s shoes, but I politely talked to them later and informed them that I don’t mind if they ask me directly.
How did I know they were asking someone else about my heeling? I was standing not 15 feet from them and they did not do a good job of subtly pointing at my shoes and asking another woman “Is he wearing heels?”

LOL...I was thumbing through the boots at last call today and almost tried that Bandolino Lella boot on.
You should definitely go back and check them out! She said they were very comfortable and easy to walk in.

So for Valentine’s Day, my wife and I did something special for each other and bought each a pair of boots. Hers were brand new and from Macy’s. It’s been more of a struggle to find boots for her because she has wide calves. Actually, she played soccer and might be closer to extra wide calves. But the good news is that she has lost weight and some calf circumference. She is now down to 15.5” which opens up the opportunities again.
Anyway, we found these Bandolino Lella boots in a suede material that were on last call for about $51. They fit wonderfully on her and she was super excited! This is the first time we’ve bought her new boots in a while and the smile on her face was priceless. I’ll include a web picture of her purchase.
Mine were a purchase from Poshmark. I absolutely love Frye, and I came across these almost gray Regina boots. By default I am not a fan of pointed toes, but I love the back zip and the color just looked amazing. There was a small amount of wear on the sole, but overall they’re in great shape and were only $60.
My wife even complimented them which was a plus!

It is feasible. Aloft hotel in Austin has a collection of boots to rent.
Do they have a web based setup for this? Or do you have to just go and ask.
