  1. I want to add a +1 to this thread. Aside from my heels, a friend of mine when I was younger convinced me to get into wearing women’s jeans to help my lower half look better. I hated the way men’s stuff always looked so baggy and if I wanted well fitting pants/jeans, I would need to spend in upwards of $80.

She worked at GAP at the time and helped me find a couple of pairs that looked good, fit well, and amazingly comfortable. I admit that for some reason until that day, I never thought about women’s jeans being more comfortable.

Fast forward well over 10 years, and now all of my clothing from the waist down is women’s. I won’t go into detail, but I finally gave up wearing boxers to work because they just bunched up in my jeans.

Now that I’ve been out in California for a bit, I’ve started letting my mind wonder about with regard to women’s tops too. I did have those thoughts previously but I usually just let them go, because I was living in a conservative judging area and around some family that didn’t even really know about my heels.

The down side though is trying to find good fitting tops. I say it is easier to find bottoms, but it seems there are so many shapes and sizes of tops that I have to venture all over the place. But I won’t let that stop me though. Thanks to @JeffB and your multitude of fashionable posts, I am convinced I will find some that suit me!

  2. So tonight I ended up going with one of my oldest pairs in my possession. I’ve had these for probably over 10 years and I just love them! They are Liz Claiborne boots and oh so comfortable. I had the heels recovered in real leather a year or two ago and the cobbler did a horrible job, but I still love them.

  3. Last night wasn’t anything super interesting, although I did convince myself to wear my Aldo ankle boots. They are a size 40 and definitely not a perfect fit, but for the small amount of scrunched toes, they were comfortable to walk around in. I normally shy away from stilettos but they weren’t horrible to try and maneuver.

Haven’t decided for tonight and time is running out lol!

  4. So today wasn’t very eventful as I spent most of it at home.

But I did venture out to the grocery and wore my Sorel wedges. Now even though I wore these during my last couple of flights, I had some nervousness wearing them to the grocery. Why? I am not sure, but today for some reason, the jeggings didn’t look right when tucked in or pulled over... so I tried something that I had previously mentioned that I wasn’t a big fan of, and that was cuffing them!

I know a couple of people took notice, but no one laughed, made mention of them within earshot, etc. So I consider this trip a win.

Looks like I’m going out to buy myself a white belt.  Do I go like a leather belt or a patent belt?

I would go for leather instead of patent. I am not personally a big fan of patent. I am curious to see what this outfit looks like on you. I don’t normally wear pink but I think it goes well with the choice of heels

  6. Well even though my back is back to normal, I did not end up wearing heels yesterday. But, it was for a good reason!

Earlier in the week I was tossing around the idea of hiking this weekend. I asked my friend if she would go with me, and agreed to, depending on the weather. Now when I woke up yesterday morning, I felt lazy and did not want to do anything. But she texted me about 11:30, and so I decided it was now or never to go hiking.

I picked her up about 12:30 and off we went to go hike Mission Peak. It’s about 2500 feet in elevation at the top, and the shortest tail to the peak is the steepest. But we trekked through it and made a full loop, to the top and back down, in about 4 hours! It was amazing! We logged about 20k steps and over 8 miles!

My legs hurt a bit today but I assure you after I get some stuff down this morning and showered, I will be in heels!

Adding a picture of me at the summit!

  7. Thanks @jeremy1986, yes my back seems to be at 100%. I still don’t know what I could have done to cause it, but I am stretching more throughout the day.

Thank you for the compliment! I really do love the Jessica Simpson boots, I need to get my rear in gear and glue the sole back on the right one so I can actually attempt to wear them!

As far as how many pairs I have, I honestly don’t know. It’s less than 20, and part of the reason is that some are in packing boxes in the garage at our new place. It will be a little bit before I get to them unfortunately. I will likely put them up on here for sale though, as I want them to go to someone who will appreciate them!

  8. Well today is the day! I felt well enough at work that I got back into my heels tonight. I initially put on my Jessica Simpson knee boots, but the sole on the right one is now severely separated and until I can apply some adhesive to it to remedy the issue, I won’t be trying to do any walking in them.

However, I opted for my 4” Steve Madden boots, as I figured the more time in them, the easier it will get!

The one downside to the new place is that there is no full length mirror to get a full picture. So for now, it’s just the boots...

  9. Well no post since I’ve been in the new place, but I’ve good reason.

As we age, our bodies tend to change at a rate that sometimes progresses beyond what our minds comprehend.

I would love to have a cool story that makes me the talk at the water cooler, but such is not the case.

Bending over to rinse after brushing my teeth on saturday, a pop occurred in my lower back and left me in pain and reduced mobility. No I’ve not gone to see someone, as stretches and ibuprofen have seemed to help. I would say I am about 85-90% back to normal, but want to give it one more day to see if I can hit 100.

  10. Ok, so I didn’t post last night so again this will be two days in one.

Last night I didn’t wear heels per say, but I did wear my jeans tucked into riding boots and went to the new place to do some unpacking. Nothing too exciting.

Tonight, I went back down in my riding boots but changed into my black thigh high boots with stiletto heels and platforms. I wore them back to the place I was staying and had a mini freak out because the garage door wouldn’t open. Fortunately my roommate opened the front door for me and didn’t wait to see me in my thigh booted glory.

Yes the shirt is the same, I have deemed it my unpacking shirt, lol!

That would be fantastic!  It usually happens near the end of April or the beginning of May.

The drive from the Bay, depending upon traffic, is not all that bad.  Typically two hours from downtown San Francisco.

Also, I believe that they have had smaller events in Concorde before.

I will look some of this up online today, thanks!

  12. So I decided that with the new year upon us, I would try something new. So for the month of January, I am going to wear a pair of heels every day for at least an hour. This may sound silly, but back home in Indiana I used to only wear heels on the weekend and it was mainly my wedges. Now that I am out here in California and feeling like I can be more of myself, I will dedicate some time every day to heels and hopefully that will help me to spend more time out and about it them. I am going to post two pictures, one from yesterday, and one from today.

Yesterday was uneventful as I didn’t put on my Sorel wedges until I went over to the new place to unpack some boxes.

Today was a similar fashion, except I wore my new Steve Madden knee boots to try and get used to the 4” heels a bit more.

  13. I admit my wit was sidelined and I could have played it better. However, the boyfriend started a group text with me and her and they invited me out for NYE, although to a metal concert, which I’ve never been to one!

So I must not have left a bad impression.

Only downside is I don’t want to wear heels to a metal concert...

That's great, @KneeBooted that you were able to be so open with her! Were you nervous?

Hope this takes you to new wonderful pastures!

    Jeremy,

I don’t think I am nervous anymore about discussing it. I had a very plain conversation with another woman at a group dinner on Saturday about me wearing heels, and she seemed extremely interested.

I think my inner demon is the fear of wearing my obviously feminine heels in public and getting negative reactions. However, each time I do this, and get either no reactions or positive reactions, the confidence grows. Yes, I am at a point in life where I don’t care what people think when I tell them what I do, but I do still have some subconscious fear when I actually do it.

Although, right now, I am wearing my 4” Steve Madden boots at home and it’s quite relaxing

  15. I hope everyone is excited to ring in the new year if you have not already done so!

I wanted to post about a quick experience I had this morning. Some good friends happened to be out in the Bay Area and we wanted to get together. The couple was also meeting another friend so we all decided on a local breakfast place called Stacks, which by the way was delicious.

Upon arriving, I met the other couple, and took note that the girlfriend was wearing some Sorel wedge boots similar to mine, except hers were black. I was wearing my Frye riding boots under jeans today.

When we were wrapping up and making our way out and saying our goodbyes, I mentioned to the girl that I liked her boots. She thanked me and said they were a Christmas gift, and that she loves Sorel and has about 5 pair. I told her I loved them too, had a couple of pair myself, including a matching pair to hers. She exclaimed ‘you’re kidding’ to which I informed her I wasn’t. She goes ‘you know these are women’s shoes, right’ and I explained to her I know, I like them, and I am wearing women’s shoes today, which I then showed her my Frye boots.

I definitely took her by surprise, and I couldn’t tell if she was intrigued or didn’t like that idea. Either way, I hope to cross paths with her again and we can match lol!

I swear I've been trying to find a pair of those for months, and every time I go to the Converse outlet, they'll have one pair in size 9 or maybe 10. Never an 11, and the ones on eBay are marked up out the wazoo in 11.

    Where do you live?
