I wouldn't have been very pleased if I knew that a man had been trying any of my clothes on in a public toilet. I'm fairly sure that you knew that when you looked in the bag. I think you were right not to try them on.

Touche ! Xa
Lol thanks xaphod I couldn't resist the joking introduction.
The question is serious though, I'm interested to know.

Please ladies, give the men some space to answer in this thread.

I was discussing this with someone last night who has also found herself to be stuck wearing heels.
I'm interested to know from others who are also stuck:
- Do you often you talk to your friends about it?
- Do you enjoy being stuck in heels?
- What do you miss most of all and would love to do if you weren't stuck in them?
-
Gosh...........I must remember to look out for some wedges in the same style!
-
Does anyone here know when or where this is likely to take place in 2010?

I'm under the impression that if you measure the back of a heel from the tip to where the heel joins to the upper, then subtract the thickness of the sole if there is a platform. That will be your heel height. Or would a platform shoe be measured by it's overall heel height? (Shopping online can be a pain sometimes)

British please note. It would never do to be seen in public in the US with a fag butt in ones mouth.

Hi Luiza, In have well over 30 pairs of shoes all of which fit me. I've been wearing heels everyday for more than half of my life. I have always been very particular about them fitting properly and being made well. I enjoy wearing fashionable cutting edge designer shoes but not if they don't fit me. I do have a number of pointy shoes that I wear for certain occasions but aside from that, I'm a slave to comfort.
-
They look comfortable, practical, classic and elegant. They appear well finished as well. If you wear heels everyday then you'll find plenty of those kind of shoes in your wardrobe. You can't wear exciting designs all the time. if you do then you'll find nothing for an exciting occasion will you?.

Ok today I had what I think was possibly one of the worst comments directed at my shoes by a woman. She smugly suggested that I was wearing "mid-life crisis shoes". It made me really mad and madder still after thinking about why it made me so mad.

I just wanted to mention that I do enjoy reading the gal's section. I never comment because I'm a guy, but just wanted to say to the ladies, you gals have some great discussions. I enjoy reading it. It's opened some nice discussions with my wife.
Just saying it in the everyone section because I can't place it in your respective sections. The seperarte forum is working nicely. keep up the lovely indepth chats. Your perspective is a wonderful addition to this site.

Thanks for expressing your appreciation RP.
Unfortunately The girls forum was closed to guys because threads were becoming swamped by guys posting in it.
For example see this thread here has swiftly been taken over to become a convenient venue for guys to discuss the oggling women in cheap glitz glam environments.
Anyway, I'm glad you enjoy reading and discussing posts in the Girls section and I'm sorry it had to be closed to guys.

My imagination is not good when I don't recognize the brand.
(You are a shoe expert while I'm not...)
Did a search for "Loriblu" on the Internet and found a picture.
Are they similar to those below ?
They are very different tom the ones you found online. These are black and have a "Prince of Wales" check design on the uppers and bows on the front.
I'm not sure you'll find them online.
-
Greetings Amanda :-)
Got any picture of them you would like to share with us ?
Actually I don't have any pictures of them to share. You'll just have to use your imagination.
-
I'm wearing a Loriblu Pump with a black "Prince of Wales" check design and bows on the front. They're brand new and I'm very pleased with them but I'm going to have to take them off soon before they mark my feet.

I can manage 5 and a half for a whole evening so I voted 6 as there was no 5 and a half category and I'm a glass half full type.

Most of mine still haven't been designed yet. Quite a few are waiting for me in the shops, a small percentage live at my apartment and probably a third of my collection are at home.

My shoes generally last forever. I don't often wear the same pair more than 5 times a year on average. Nor do I purchase shoes that are cheaply made. Sometimes I might fall in love with one pair in particular and wear them to death. The last pair that fell prey to my affections were a pair of Louboutin Declics which are almost ready for the wheelie bin. Luckily it's still possible to buy them. Sometimes it's not, so I take care to spread the wear through my collection.

Isn't that the case with basically any designer shoes?
If you don't appreciate quality materials, fine stitching, durability, comfort and immaculate finish then yes, it is.
