  1. On the slippery note, I notice that there seems to be an impetus to wear heels (boots - to keep feet warm?) in the winter when it has been snowing or icy. Yet seemingly get about fine if not better than the casual flat soled public. Is there a "method to the madness" as it were? :w00t2: Another plus point for the metal tip perchance? :santa_hat:

Walking in ice and snow in stilettos is murder.

    It's like wearing skates.

    But then there are taxies.

Metal tips are worse in such conditions.

  2. Hello Metal Tips, thanks for your welcome. In answer to your questions; I never have seen a guy wearing heels so it's difficult really to say whether I'd be a fan or not. I suppose I'm attracted to masculine guys and society says they don't wear high heels. I suppose I'm being straight and old fashioned. hey but maybe you guys will change all that. As far as accepting compliments,I personally would be tickled to be complemented on my shoes or any other article of clothing. Probably shoes more than anything else though because I have a bit of a fetish for them. Nop guy has ever commented on my shoes unless I've ruined his floor. I'm sure if you mentioned to a woman that she had the most beautiful shoes you'd ever seen, she would remember that for a very long time if not forever. Why not try it and see her reaction?. Compliments are free after all.:santa_hat:

  3. I was at a party this festive season. After having crouched down to pick a wayward profiterole off the floor. I then rose only to find that I while crouching I had stood the hem of my longish skirt with my heels. The heels ripped through the hem of my skirt and I found myself launched directly into the guys arms who I had been giving the brush off. I left covered in his wine with a huge tear in the back of my skirt. Lol, I must have a thousand such stories. What have your worst heel moments been?.

  4. I like the extra support you get from boots especially ones with laces. Subway street and cobble stones become much more negotiable in boots. Only I hate ankle boots with skirts they make your legs look short somehow.

  5. I would have thought the need to join a community, such as this, less important. This is illustrated in the type of posts found in the ladies only section. The guys NEED the re-assurance of the group.

I'm sure the majority of guys here would like even more women to post and comment, but sensitivity levels see some comments as negative, and that could give the ladies a feeling of not being welcome.

I think most of us would say -please stay, you're most welcome.

    Hi Loriette,

I only arrived here because it's called the high heel place and I have a fetish for heels. I had no real idea what went on here before joining.

If it's mainly a group of guys needing re-assurance in their heel interests

then all I can do is discuss and offer advice on wearing heels and bring with me some acceptance and understanding.

How do I find the ladies only section by the way?.

  6. I love the feel of stockings but they're not always as convenient as convenient as tights because of the constant need for adjustment. A garter belt is the only way to get them to stay up at all. I prefer to wear my knickers over the garter belt to help hold it up. A corset or basque with built in suspenders is the most practical soloution . Don't make the harter straps to tight or you can't sit down and they may ping off if you do. Hold ups, pfft, they don't stay up unless they have a vulcan grip of death. Ignore the advertizing. It's true what Foxylady said about odd stockings, I have a drawer full that I sort through and try and pair when I'm desperate. I can rarely get the tops to match but then people rarely get to see them. So if the tops of your stockings are still getting in a mess after you've tried all these then welcome to the club.:santa_hat:

  7. After having read some of the threads in here it's obvious to me that there are some gender related issues regarding wearing heels. I have to say that I never saw a guy wearing heels myself before but I'm not one to be narrowminded. I don't see why guys shouldn't wear heels if they want to. Sure it doesn't send out a very masculine signal but then guys are not 100% masculine anyway. There's only one way to get it publicaly accepted and I'm sure your aware of that. I do sense a bit of friction-jealousy-sexism here. I read one post which suggested that it was women barring the way to social acceptance of male heel wearing. There may be something in that but not in my case. I also notice that only 10.9 percent of members here are women. Is that because you've offended them in some way or is it just that they don't fit here?. A xx

  8. I wear high heels all the time.

Over the years I've discovered a few tricks to aid comfortable wearing.

Not rocket science I know but here are some of my tips:

    A. Try not to walk too far in them. There are Taxies.

If I am going to have to walk to or at a party or event I take a pair of lower heels in my bag. A quick change of shoes before walking in and you are fresh and ready for looking good in the heels.

    b. I avoid standing around for long periods.

    c. If you find that it is the balls of your feet that start to hurt you might want to get some Gel inserts for added comfort.

    d. If your ankles are what start to hurt try going for styles that have an ankle strap, they give a little bit more support.

    e. Avoid doing exercises your doctor gives you for getting used to wearing flats.

  10. Hello,

I'm Amanda, I'm also new here.

It took me a while to get accepted because my mail server spammed all my confirmation mails.

Anyway, I made it at last.

I have to say I'm surprised to see how many guys are members of this site and what's more, actually wear heels themselves.

well I can't really say I'm a fan of guys wearing heels but I can't critisize because I also have a fetish for them.

Gosh the thought of not feeling able to wear my heels freely in publicI couldn't bear that.

I would put my picture on my profile but I just can't seem to figure out how, maybe you know how?. :-)

Oh and Happy New Year to you all.

(Hmm, i wonder if this posting will end up in the right place, lol)

    xxxx A
