  2. The cuticle nippers are use to cut dead cuticle skin around the edges. @mlroseplant I hope your client last night was a good tipper.

  4. Kjones, glad you are slowly pushing the envelope! Most times I am in knee-length skirts (I prefer straight ones with a slit at the back, but are fitted) as I find them the most comfortable. It all started with jeans or denim ones, but I didn't like the "stonewashed" look to them or the seam down the middle. So went for a more smarter variant instead ;) I had considered kilts, but these are so expensive, I could buy several skirts for the price of even one cheap kilt! My most expensive skirt was £50, but I am diversifying to shift dresses now. These are worn with heels, to keep on topic... penc

  5. Here is my toolkit, although it might be of limited interest, because no one in our household wears nail polish or artificial nails. - 2 gallon washtub - 4 sided buffing block - 2 sided emory board - orange wood stick (for cuticle pushing) - spoon shaped metal digger (don't know what it's really called--use it mainly on big toenails to clean out underneath the corners of the nails) - cuticle nippers, Nghia brand from Vietnam (the best in the world for nails, haha). I don't know why they are called cuticle nippers, DON'T ever use them for that. If some nail tech ev

  7. I've thought about some variation of the suggestions you made, but, it's just not the same as being out and about. I'll be patient and wait until I can go out again.

  9. @JeffB with 40 dresses you need to start wearing them. I will be surprise if we get back to outside activities before November. Sporting events with crowds, concerts, large celebrations, conventions, ... only after a vaccine. So Jeff you need to have Virtual Jaunts. Get dressed up, experiment to the max, try different combinations; I bet like usual nobody will notice. Go to your local sandwich shop, La Kitchen, and have a sandwich and a bottle of water. Walk around your residence for 10 minutes and find a nice park bench (aka couch) and read your kindle. After a while walk from room to

  10. Wow! Hard to believe it’s been a month since my last outing thanks to the coronavirus crisis having shut EVERYTHING down, and heaven only knows when I’ll be able to go on a jaunt again. However, since my routine was to swap out my fall/winter attire for spring/summer clothing in early April, I did just that last week, much to my pleasant surprise, I discovered I had 40, that’s FORTY dresses for warm weather. I honestly didn’t think I had that many, and I’d say that nearly half that lot I’ve yet to wear on outings, needlessly to say, I can’t wait for the all clear so I can show off those dresse

  11. A pair of black patent classic pumps always looks good. As I mentioned earlier, way too high for my ability, but a very nice look. Always my favorite (for the ladies, put a bow on the toe and it's perfect!) as indicated by my photo at left here.

  12. Happy Saturday. These past couple of weeks have been relatively uneventful with regard to public heeling and that seems to be the trend with what I am reading here. While I am still going in to work each day in heels, there’s nothing to report. However, my idle mind has started spiraling down the path towards getting a bag. I don’t call it a purse because what I want is a tote big enough to carry my laptop. So I’ve done some searching and found a nice looking one on Amazon. Going to wait a bit to order it because I don’t need to spend the money right now. Check our the link

  13. Just for the heck of it, because what else am I going to do, I decided to put on the same outfit I wore to Costco the other day (minus the mask), only wear my new Pleaser pumps with it. Just to see what it looked like. Here it is:

  14. I'm with Shyheels. The rest is all tosh. Money isn't an actual thing, it's just a token for a share of actual things. The greengrocer will sell me potatoes because he trusts the money I give him, which he can use to pay his rent. He trusts the money because an authority guarantees its value. Dealing in currency is just usury, and bitcoin is pure usury, trying to get a bigger share without doing any work. Ultimately, usury is stealing from the poor. Proud of yourselves, Bitcoin Boys?

  18. One thing about this staying home all the time is that I have the opportunity to connect with my people from Vietnam more often. I was talking with a family member yesterday, and the subject came up of how many steps per day our phone says we usually take vs. how many steps we are taking under these restrictions. At one point, I sent her a picture of my work boots, and said this is what I'm required to wear at work. She laughed (electronically) and said, "All I need is a pair of slippers." Which re-reminded me of why I believe so many Vietnamese women wear high heels almost every day compared

  19. I have noticed that it's becoming more common around here to see construction workers tucking their pants in. What I haven't really seen is guys doing this outside of work. In case you missed it the first time, I attempted my own take on the knee high boot thing.
