w6ish Posted July 16, 2006 Author Posted July 16, 2006 i couldn't sleep last night so i decided to take a drive into the country side, this was around midnight. the city was full with all kinds of action but i wasn't interested in any of it. so i put on my jean shorts, a white t shirt and my white 7.5 inch spike heels from pierre silber and drove into the dark and quiet country landscape, pulling over a number of times to examine the moon and the stars and the little creatures of the night which happened across the barren highway. a simple outing i know but fun, i enjoyed looking down at my tanned and shaved legs and my glowing white high heels strapped to my tanned feet.
Thighbootguy Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Ah ... Sometimes the simple things in life are best. I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.
w6ish Posted July 18, 2006 Author Posted July 18, 2006 very true. i've driven into the country side the past three nights, after midnight, to enjoy the mid July climes on the outskirts of the capital city. wearing 7.5 inch heels of course. it would be nice though to have some company on those barren road walks. here is something else i don't know if you have experienced: waiting... i ordered a pair of shoes at the beginning of last week and this waiting for them to arrive is just about driving me crazy. i decided to buy some ultra wild 8 inch spike heels in black, with high uppers that lace up to just below the knee, for those ultra and wild nights at the club in montreal. the style is xtreme 1035, listed on the Forplay website under boots, page 9. i've been looking at them for a year now and finally decided hey, you only live once. so lets get busy with the living.
Thighbootguy Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 white_6_inch_spike_heels – A note of concern. I don’t know about your part of the world but is there any safety concern about walking out alone on a country road? Some people that don’t approve of heels might be embolden to do something unpleasant when there is no one around. There is also the caution about becoming complacent about wearing heels/boots … . I really do try to be careful about where I go wearing thigh boots with heels. Xtreme_1035 Your going to break your neck in those. Enjoy I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.
w6ish Posted July 19, 2006 Author Posted July 19, 2006 indeed, there is a real and serious safety concern. there seems to be a lot of young people out racing down those backroads, young tough guys racing their parent's cars and gangs of motorcycle kids too and of course you never know who could be into the sauce and behind the wheel as well, so when i do take a drive, i stay off the roads where these people are and stick with the roads where they might be a farm or two but mostly open fields or swamplands. usually they are quiet. most of the time i am cautious about where i go when wearing heels. once, on the transit bus coming from the downtown, when i was wearing my cupid boots which were in plain view, a young punk looked at me with scorn and said "why do you wear those? so you can look taller... " i answered with a very simple: no. that was it. he had no where else to go with it except to start bad mouthing me but he didn't because i had looked away. same with a beggar on the street this past spring, i just laughed at him. yesterday i dusted off my black sherberts and the jeans that go with them, snug on the ankles, and wore them into the downtown. it has been awhile since i wore those downtown and since i had time to spare, i stopped at a local park with benches and took a seat. the place was filled with middle age and older men, sitting around doing nothing. i could see them gawking at me but i just don't care anymore. some women came along, walking their dogs and they looked at me with little smiles, which i quite enjoyed. i thought, while sitting there, here i am, a slim man sitting in a public park, alone, wearing women's 6 inch heel sandals, and folks passing by must surely think i am a kook! but i have received enough positive remarks from both men and women on the street to just go with it. an old man looked at my boots last autumn and commented positively on them. i told him it was almost like going to hell and back with the freaky comments i get from almost everyone else on the street but he said something that really hit the nail on the head. he said: so long as you are happy. when it was time to leave the park yesterday, i started thinking about this board and all the guys who love heels but never wear them out to public places. us guys who wear heels higher than 4 inches in public, i think we should get some "medal of honor"! ha ha. just kidding, but really, an outing like yesterday, a man in basic blue jeans and a black t shirt, wearing black heels, its co ordinated. its not an outrageous outfit like some of the ones i've worn. yesterday's outfit is basic, simple. i think it helps our free style fashion cause. moves us along, out of the dopey stone age men's fashion world and into real, personal fashion freedom, where your own fashion statement is just that, who you really are. boy this is turning into a rant. sorry to take up so much of your time. as far as my new purchase, i'm still anxiously waiting. and there is a real possibility of having one of those wipe outs like that model on American Model Search. but before i go out next friday wearing them, i'm going to have several hours practice time in them. the old saying goes: the higher up you are, the further down you have to fall! anyway. once again, sorry to take up so much time.
Thighbootguy Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 white_6_inch_spike_heels – Thanks for the reply. I really was hoping my concerns were baseless. It sounds like you understand and take care. Sometimes when there is a lot to be said, it takes more words to say it, and always keep in mind that there are lots of folks reading our posts that just might be ready to try street heeling. I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.

NewfieGuyInHeels Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 I didn't really know where to post this, and I hate starting a new thread for it cause it doesn't seem like it needs one. So I hope no one minds if I post here. I work at a grocery store in the produce department. I just got off a night shift and it's now 5:15 am. Before I started my shift I packed my pumps in my bookbag and headed to work. Blah blah blah, work work work, now the good part. 20 mins to 5 Me and the guy I work with had finished early so we decided to take off (shhhhhhh ) So as soon as I got out of eye shot of the store, I took out my Pumps and changed into them. Now my house is only a 10 min walk away, up and across a main road comming into town. So as soon as I started taking my first steps, I heard the clacking of the heels as they hit the pavement..... awesome! I guess here is a good time to add that this is the first official stroll I've had in my pumps out of the house. As I was walking my toes started to hurt a little. But of course, I'm not use to them, but it wasn't much so I sucked it up and pressed on. I very quickly got the hand of them, and I must say I'm feeling iffy about giving them to my friend now (for those who haven't really followed I meantioned giving them to my friend in the Freestyle Fashion Pics thread) But even after this amazing walk, I'm still not sure if I'm comfortable wearing them in public? My town isn't a big one, I only saw 2 cars on my walk home and one was a taxi, so I can't really say they were up for public viewing. Besides my jeans covered all but the pointed toes, and who could see them at night passing by at 50 - 60 clicks. In any case, I changed back just before getting in my house, didn't want to risk someone being at up and seeing me come in with them. Now I'm writing about my little experiance. Anyway, i just thought I'd share that with you. I am quite pleased I did it, even if it was only at 5 am. As usuall, all comments and questions are welcomed. Thighbootguy Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 NewfieGuyInHeels - Sounds like a good first stroll in your heels. For most of us, the hardest step is getting out of the car (which means getting out in public). Early/late strolls are a lot of fun when you are trying something new and for one reason or another your not ready for the public spotlight. I have been doing something similar and have posted about it on the Boots and Skirts in Public thread. You said your toes started to hurt. Was that because you were putting more weight on them (as a higher heel would) or are the pumps too small? I looked at your pictures and the size looks Ok but ... . I have found, at least with boots, that I need a size larger with a 5” heel. Just be sure you have passed the “liked what I saw in a full length mirror” test, then enjoy your heels. I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.
w6ish Posted July 24, 2006 Author Posted July 24, 2006 i'm going to have a lot of fun with these! now i need to come up with something to wear with them. any suggestions?
NewfieGuyInHeels Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I don't know if I'm fit to be giving advice on heel fashion, but I'd go with short shorts, or skirt with no leggings or hoes. But that's me. http://s77.photobucket.com/albums/j78/darthraze/
Shafted Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 W6ish, it's no big secret that I'm not a fan of plats, but those are so cool. Shafted, the boots that is! sexyplatforms Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 W6ISH, those new plats look amazing! I think they'd look perfect with a short black shiny dress... SP.
w6ish Posted July 25, 2006 Author Posted July 25, 2006 the wife was saying they might look good with the black version of my nurse costume... that's a mini dress in pvc, with red trim i think. Newfie Guy: enjoyed your story about your early morning stroll. brings back a lot of memories.
Dawn HH Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 W6ISH:-) Like Shafted---I'm not into platforms, but those are so different. Enjoy them. Newfieguyinheels:-) Thanks for sharing your "first time out in heels" story. Now you know that you just can't wait to do it again. Walking on pavement is so different than walking around the house in heels. Your toes will get used to it after a while. You might check the shoe size on your next pair for toe comfort. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
NewfieGuyInHeels Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Well if i was getting them from a local store, I would've tried them on first. But seeing as I was ordering from ebay, I had to go with what I knew. 9's in those pumps would've been too small anyway. However I am glad to say my Ellie Black pvc thigh boots fit like a dream. Just to clarify, That wasn't my first time out in heels. Just those pumps. I actually had a pair of Ankle cut black stiletto boots with a pointed toe. The heel was 2 3/4 or 3 inches I think. I was stupid to take them back, but I did. I was out of town visiting friends, and the one I was staying with it was her B-day. So we went out for dinner that night and I wore a black and white pattern shirt, my black dress pants, and those boots. A couple of my other friends (who I only met recently through my other friend) noticed, but they weren't negative in any way. Two guys, one commended me for being able to walk in them and then his Mother who was with us said they actually don't look that bad! And the other guy gave the the typical "Why?" To which I responded "Why do you wear the shoes you wear? Mostly cause you like them right?" He said Yeah, and I said "Same goes for me, I just have a larger taste in shoes" As the night went on he ended up tryuing them on, which was cool but where he wasn't use to them he did the funny looking march kinda walk lol. Anyway, as far as I can remember that was my first time out in heels. Besides a few walks down my drive way, and a couple joy rides with my friends. http://s77.photobucket.com/albums/j78/darthraze/
w6ish Posted July 28, 2006 Author Posted July 28, 2006 good story. i have not had another man try my shoes on though, but i surely have had a few girls and women try them on! its a lot of fun watching someone else get into your shoes!
dr1819 Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 Your going to break your neck in those. You think he might be more likely to break an ankle? I agree with you about country roads. People can get out of hand when: 1. No one's around. 2. Other's are around who're also getting out of hand. 3. When they're drunk. This is why I always felt safe wearing heels, or even a skirt, in a casino - the bodyguards wouldn't let a fight progress beyond the first shout, and there are cameras all over the place - sort of discourages unpleasant behavior.
w6ish Posted July 29, 2006 Author Posted July 29, 2006 this is my outfit from last night's outing. is that skirt mini enough for you?!! i spent 5 hours wearing my 7.5's and got all the usual stares. thank goodness for a hot summer night, you can get away wearing something like this! actually underneath the jacket i was wearing these shorts. my wife wanted me to take off the jacket and walk around with just the shorts and the shoes but i just didn't have the guts for that.
iloveboots Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Great Shoes and what an awesome look! Nice to see another Canadian out there setting the trend, cheers, david this is my outfit from last night's outing. is that skirt mini enough for you?!! i spent 5 hours wearing my 7.5's and got all the usual stares. thank goodness for a hot summer night, you can get away wearing something like this! actually underneath the jacket i was wearing these shorts. my wife wanted me to take off the jacket and walk around with just the shorts and the shoes but i just didn't have the guts for that. w6ish Posted July 31, 2006 Author Posted July 31, 2006 i get a real laugh out of seeing those models walking down that runway in those 8 inch heels! i especially love the wipe outs. i've always been a sucker for slapstick comedy. Sexy platforms: i thought you might enjoy those photos seeing how you like your skirts short, heels high and outdoor photos! thanks!
Fog Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Great video Kneehighs, there was a lot of encouragement going on there too.
w6ish Posted August 9, 2006 Author Posted August 9, 2006 i'm going out with the wife this evening for a little dinner and vino with a view of the river. i'm going to wear my conservative 6 inch heels in black, my sherberts from pierre silber, with a pair of jeans. i will be sure to get some pictures for you.
w6ish Posted August 10, 2006 Author Posted August 10, 2006 took in a beautiful dinner with a view of the river last night and everything about the date was splendid. i wore my black sherberts and am getting just too use to wearing those! no butterflies anymore. when we got into the restaurant two of the waitresses saw my shoes and they smiled and said they were beautiful shoes! and the usual: how can you possibly walk in them? we did get some pictures but they turned out too dark and aren't worth posting. sorry bout that.
dr1819 Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Some of the models have apparently ice-skated before, and some have not. It's all about centering. You do, you don't fall. You don't/can't, then you fall. Same with rollerblading.
w6ish Posted August 25, 2006 Author Posted August 25, 2006 i just got back from 2 weeks in the country side and had a great time and managed to get some photos too! i will post them once i get them loaded onto my photobucket.
w6ish Posted September 2, 2006 Author Posted September 2, 2006 it was last year around this time i told you about my daughter going out the door wearing my wife's 7.5 inch heels and thought wow, that is totally and completely brazen! she is up to her old tricks! mid week the wife and i were going through one of her closests and she found those black heels and said i don't think i'm going to wear these anymore. she said they don't fit her as well as she would like, and maybe our daughter would like them. we gave them to her and said have fun! she went to Toronto the other day and i just went into her room to clear out the dishes and whatever and those shoes were gone! she took them with her!
Guest Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 w6ish Your consultation services are needed for the upcoming season at Americas Next Top Model: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uqNrgZI5_c I think you could teach them a thing or two. Love the video clip - it amazes me how well come of these girls can walk in these shoes! Bob.
