ilikekicks Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 What I would have done was asked ' Are you a cop? Solicitation without properly identifying yourself is entrapment and illegal '. JeffB Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 You got that right. In his stupidity, he's the one that came across as being queer. He was after all the one who made the proposition. Quite right. And the kicker is he probably didn't even know just how stupid he was to have said what he did. Still doesn't I suspect. I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
Steve63130 Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 I wouldn't be surprised if alcohol was involved, lowering his inhibition and allowing his manners to disappear. Well, pioneers are the ones with arrows in their backs, Shafted, and you just got another one, but don't worry. It's not fatal. Keep at it, sir! You're an inspiring example to us all, and if you encounter an idiot once in a while, that's to be expected. They're out there. Steve
Shafted Posted August 12, 2012 Author Posted August 12, 2012 This morning after church I switched out my 2 inch cuban heel boots for a pair of black pinstripe stiletto pumps and headed for McDonald's for breakfast. Again as usual this morning there was a large amount of Quebec customers there. I caught quite a few sneaking peeks at my shoes when it dawned on me. I have probably been exposing a rather large number of people from Quebec to the concept of a guy wearing stiletto heels. I recall one member here from there that said people there are not at all open to the idea of a guy in heels. Well if they keep making their annual pilgrimages to Old Orchard Beach and swamping the Skowhegan McDonald's with business, they soon will be. Who would have thought that I am in a position where I can influence people's opinions from Quebec by showing it to them first hand and up close. Shafted, the boots that is! Shafted Posted August 19, 2012 Author Posted August 19, 2012 After church this morning I headed out to McDonald's for breakfast and coffee. I'm wearing a No Boundaries lion face long sleeve jersey with dark heather gray Levis Action Slacks. On my feet I'm wearing my Highest Heel Glitzee pump in silver camo glitter. This is the pair with the 4 inch nickle plated steel heels. A couple of neat things happened so far. The first was from one of the cashiers who wanted to know how I did it. She claimed to have all she can do to handle 1 inch heels. I really do find that difficult to believe. The other happened while I was getting my coffee cup refilled. I caught this cute little brunette snapping multiple pictures of me and my shoes with her cellphone after which I could see her feverishly texting away. (obviously she wanted someone to see it) Go for Honey, spread it around as much as you can. One thing I'd like to add, which is contrary to what many have said here. That is people do notice. Most just take a fleeting glance and pretend not to notice. A place like McDonald's is a good place to see that phenomena. Some are better at hiding it than others, but I can assure you most do notice. Shafted, the boots that is! JeffB Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Shafted: Sounds like you had a most interesting outing. Good for you! I've also had women come up to me and say I manage to walk in heels better than they can, something I consider to be quite a compliment, regardless of if they're stretching the truth or not. As for that girl snapping pics of you, I suspect you're probably the star attraction of her network of friends by now. I can just imagine the shocked and surprised cries of "OMIGAWD!" as they see you! Yes, I fully agree that people do indeed notice us. I've had more than my fair share of eyes fall on me when I walk into Best Buy, Barnes & Noble or Chick-Fil-A in a skirt, but while no one breaks out gasping or laughing or points derisively at me, I have no doubt that people do see me, but 99 percent of the people I encounter in my travels are, as I've said many, many times before, too wrapped up in their own lives and affairs to pay much attention to a guy in a skirt, they get a fleeting glimpse, then it's back to business. I don't think I've ever had anyone overtly snap pictures of me like that girl had. Covertly? That's another story. I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
Shafted Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 Here I am again at the Skowhegan McDonald's enjoying my coffee with a little HHPlace. Saw this guy who happened to keep stealing looks at me from the serving line. I didn't think too much of it. I was wearing my No Boundaries lion face print jersey with my Levis EX-GF skinny jeans. For footwear it was the Cole Haan Lydia kneehigh boots in bronze python. All of a sudden there was a flash that got everyone's attention followed by that guy high tailing out the door. The general response from people around me was as one person put, "What was that all about" to which I explained casually what it was all about. Of all the photo's taken of me in public, as much as I have searched the internet, with the exception of here and highheelspassion, I've never found a single photo of me. Steve63130 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 If you're as ugly as I am, you probably broke his camera! BWAHAHAHA Some people are just without manners. His problem, not yours. Steve
Shafted Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 I can assure you Steve, you're not ugly. It does attest to the fact though that one can establish oneself in heels as normal, proven by the response of that one person nearby who said ,"What was that all about?" Shafted, the boots that is! WhyNotMenToo Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Well I just got this boots in black and brown to wear with skinny jeans and the brown boot to go with the jacket the same color. I also feel it's time to end gender based clothing that men should have the same fashion rights as the woman have enjoyed for 60 years. Equality in Fashion!
Steve63130 Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Nice. Would you mind giving us more details? What's the brand? What size did you get? How do they fit? Do you like them? Did you get them online or in a store? Tell us all you can. Steve
SleekHeels Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I really like the styling with the contrasting textures of the materials and the lace-up detailing on the back is cute too. Very stylish in both the brown and black versions, it's great that you could have both. In truth I'd wish the heels to be a little higher and more slender, but still they should look pretty sharp with your skinny jeans and jacket. Enjoy! If you like it, wear it.
Shafted Posted September 18, 2012 Author Posted September 18, 2012 Well I just got this boots in black and brown to wear with skinny jeans and the brown boot to go with the jacket the same color. You shouldn't have problem with that combination. Sounds like it would be pretty sharp. _____________________________________________________________________________ And now for today's adventure at McDonald's: This morning I was wearing my signature Levis EX-GF skinny jeans with a dark gray oversize sweater, shod in my Restricted Barberella ankle boots with 4 inch stiletto heel. Got a compliment on the boots from one of the other patrons. She loved the boots, wanted to know where I got them and so forth. We talked for quite some time. Also explained to her how women's footwear just fit better due to my smallish narrow feet. Shafted, the boots that is! Shafted Posted September 20, 2012 Author Posted September 20, 2012 I'm going to leave it as is. But please in the future post it in an appropriate thread. Shafted Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 I had an interesting response to my heeling while wearing my Restricted Barberella suede ankle boots (the only pair I have with fringe, wink wink to ILK). Wore them with my Levis EX-GF skinny jeans, theatre tee, fedora and my rather long hair down. After picking up a couple of Starbucks Doubleshot Mochas, I was headed back to my truck when I heard laughter from a group of three people (2 women on teenaged boy). Then I overheard from one of the women, "Wow, he has really great legs for a guy." lol Shafted, the boots that is! To each their own but.. I dont drink coffee at all. Then I overheard from one of the women, "Wow, he has really great legs for a guy." lol I hear legs/ass comments all the time and its usually from women. The trend seems to be from gals whom might have a ' little-bit-more ' in the can/bottom-end area or some meat on their thighs. Problem is.. I kind of like women whom have a ' bit more ' then a ' bit less ' myself. Ya have to post a pic of this outfit! Ive seen a lot of posts about those jeans and such.. Want to see them with the Hat! Shafted Posted October 31, 2012 Author Posted October 31, 2012 This Halloween morning at Micky Ds, the girl who took my order was wearing a cute pirate costume. I told her I had the perfect pair of boots for that costume. A pair of over knee cavalier boots with flip down tops. Her response was, "I have a pair of those, but I can only wear the costume on top. Down below work clothes only." I would love to seen what the rest of the costume looked like. Shafted, the boots that is! Shafted Posted November 27, 2012 Author Posted November 27, 2012 This morning at McDonald's a 92 year old gentleman approached me to ask me about my heels. I was wearing my Restricted Barberella boots with my Levis EX-GF skinny jeans and a beige chenille oversized sweater. Topped it off with my fedora. Him: Excuse me. Me: Yes? Him. You do know you are going to attract attention wearing those. Me: Not as much as you might think. Him: Why do you wear them? Me: Because I like them. Him: Well good for you. It's always nice seeing people doing things out of the ordinary. Do you think about them when you're wearing them? Me: Not as much now as they are my main footwear. Him: Have a nice day. Me: You too. Shafted Posted January 30, 2013 Author Posted January 30, 2013 It's been a while since I posted here. Tomorrow at 1:00 Pm I have an interview with the Waterville newspaper The Morning Sentinel at the theatre concerning our conversion to digital projection. I plan on wearing a pair of my new American Eagle Outfitters skinny jeans with a white canvas grommeted belt. I plan to match it up with a charcoal cable knit sweater. My cinnamon colored ankle boots with the fringe by Restricted will be adorning my feet. Who knows, it might just be another story in the making. If it turns out that way, the time has come to come out to my family, since I will be outed anyway. Shafted, the boots that is!
