flipflop klipklop Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 After you put your heels on then what? I'm referring more to the ones that don't go outside, but of course feel free to comment as it's not always possible to go out. Do you finish getting dressed up, then take it off. Sit there and admire the heel, then take it off. Engage in some sexual act, by yourself or with a partner. Walk around the house till you're tired. It's not something you really think about as it's just common shoes to you. Etc... ??? Yes, it's beautiful isn't it?
genebujold Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Walk, sit, stand, stretch, drive, scratch - pretty much the same things I do while wearing a pair of sneakers.
chris100575 Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Mostly I just do whatever else I'd do around the house. I do admire the heels as I'm wearing them though, and also play with them when I'm sitting down. You know like rocking on the heels, slipping my foot in and out if I'm wearing shoes rather than boots etc. I enjoy walking around more than usual, and just love the way they feel on my feet. For me wearing heels is a very sensual thing, though not necessarily sexual, and it gives me a lot of pleasure. I don't usually take them off, unless I need to go out for some reason, until my wife comes home from work, but will sometimes change them two or three times. Chris
sendra45 Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 most of mine are just another pair of shoes. so, for me I carry on as normal. Too much wine makes me wabble a little though. Ha ha. The angels have the phonebox.
asdf174 Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 I just go about my normal day around the house. It's all good. ~Arron.
Firefox Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Go to work, shopping, socialise, pub, holidays, vist friends, family the normal kind of stuff most people do. I don't wear them that much around the house unless breaking in a pair or have visitors etc.
Heelfan Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Same as Firefox, except round the house as well - in fact everywhere! Cheerfully yours, Heelfan Onwards and upwards!
highheellover Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 interesting gang. Girls and heels rock.
heelsRus Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 After you put your heels on then what? It's not something you really think about as it's just common shoes to you. Etc... ??? Usually get to working on stuff in the home office. I don't go out (yet) but I do get to do stuff at home. It's just other footwear - more interesting of course.... Got to wear my long leather skirt today. Very nice.
Bubba136 Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 Hmmmm! I usually put my heels first thing after getting out of bed and showering. And I don't normally take them off until I get into bed at night. Sometimes I change four or five times into different pairs. However, I haven't worn a pair of mens shoes in at least 4 years. (Not all of my women's shoes are heels, I might add). Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
Steve B Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 I'll put them on and putz around the house or sit at the computer and play with them (just as I'm doing now). While on vacation next week, I plan on taking the Pleasers with me and wearing them while driving. I am seriously considering keeping them on while checking in at the motel, but probably won't wear them outside. The only difference in what I wear has been buying two pairs of Dockers with shorter inseams than what I normally wear so that they won't cover up or otherwise interfere with my shoes. Besides, I like to admire my heels while wearing them. Black 5-inch stilettos - the only way to go!
Dawn HH Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 If I am working, then I change into my shoes or boots as soon as I get home from work. Then I'm in them all evening and on into the wee hours in the morning sometimes, depending on what my schedule is, indoors or out. If I'm off all day, then I may wear heels all day long again depending on my schedule and where I may be going and what I may be doing. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
Dr. Shoe Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 I'm the same as most. When I was at college though I used to live and die in heels and some days I'd actually look forward to taking them off! Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
Heelfan Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 I think the original question seems to be aimed only at "Closet wearers". Some closet (ie private) heel-wearing guys only do it because although they'd really love to street-heel in them all day, they just can't pluck up the courage to "step out". I can empathise with those guys, having been very nervous myself before I took the plunge and "stepped out" over forty years ago. These Forums have worked wonders in giving many current members the courage to step outside and start street-heeling, which they find wonderfully liberating. However, there are other closet guys whose heel-wearing will always remain strictly solitary and private to themselves only. If, as I imagine, some of them use the isolation to put on heels purely for their own amazement, maybe admiring theimselves in the mirror or making love to themselves, they are hardly likely to be very forthcoming to your question. The very fact that they opted to become closet-wearers means that they want their activities to remain personal and strictly private! To me personally, it seems somewhat sad that people feel trapped in an introverted, possibly narcissitic loop when they could be sharing their shoiee thing with other people, whether its their partner or the public at large. This is where our regular UK Heel-Meets are so terrific - a dozen or more of us shoe-shopping, socialising, eating and drinking together with the bond of our common high heel interest, with just about everyone enjoying wearing their high heels for all to see. See reports on past Heel-Meets and info on future Heel-Meets on the "Real Life Meetings" thread. Cheerfully yours, Heelfan Onwards and upwards!
flipflop klipklop Posted October 16, 2004 Author Posted October 16, 2004 Very well put Heelfan. I wanted to direct the question to the closet wearers, without cutting off the street heelers. I know the street heelers are comfortable in themselves to wear when ever they want, and where ever they want to go. So after the heels are on, they go about their regular routine as if it was any other pair of footwear, but of course it's their favorite type to wear. I was curious about the closet wearers. They can only do so much indoors. Since they don't go outside, they are still shy of being seen with them on. So if there is that risk of being seen with them on, the hh aren't seen as another pair of footwear. Well, what goes on during the time the heels are on? It's like a baseball player who has a beautiful glass bat. He can touch it, admire it and swing it around. He just can't use it for what a bat is meant for and that is to take it outside and hit some baseballs. So what does he do with it? Take a few swings of the bat, then put it back on the display? Aside from the common sense it's made of glass, but that's the analogy I'm trying to make. I thought it would be interesting to see what people do. Yes, it's beautiful isn't it?
Heelfan Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 Well, I've got a pretty good idea of what they do, and have hinted at it fairly strongly without getting too graphic or vulgar. By the way, lovely little girl in your avatar doing her flip flop and klip klop! Cheerfully yours, Heelfan Onwards and upwards!
ward Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 I pretty much go about my day, in and out of the house, paying bills, shopping etc. The only time that I don't wear heels is at work, saftey issues, as i work in a mechanics shop, but everywhere else i wear heels. High heels forever, ward
Bubba136 Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 I think its far more interesting to learn about what everyone does while wearing heels, Heelfan, not just those that wear them around the house. Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
Dawn HH Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 I'm with you, Bubba, It's interesting to find out what other people do while wearing their heels. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
Heelfan Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 Bubba and Dawn - Don't tell me that, tell this thread's question-setter, who is only asking about the activities of private heel-wearers here. For my part, I'm with you two. As I'd said in an earlier posting above on this thread - I wear my 3 1/2" to 5 1/2" heels everywhere, inside and outside, hence organising our regular UK Heel-Meets etc. etc. Wahay! Cheerfully yours, Heelfan Onwards and upwards!
chris100575 Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 Don't lose sight of the fact that some of us closet wearers are frustrated street heelers! We can't all just put them on and go out. Daz and I are planning to meet again, and all being well we'll be wearing heels and going for a walk in them. While I have a few pairs of heels that would be suitable, I also have several pairs that wouldn't. I prefer to wear stilettos, and while some of the guys on here (and I salute them) are quite happy wandering down the street in 5" stils, I'm not one of them. I don't see why I shouldn't enjoy wearing them around the house though. Chris
Heelfan Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 Well done Chris! As I said in an above post, I always empathise with guys who start off "indoors only" whilst plucking up courage to step out. As well as your meeting Daz, why not also come to our November Heel-Meet (see "Real Life Meetings")? Attending these meets within the last year has greatly boosted the confidence of Daz himself! Our heels aren't all 5" stilettos by any means. Some turn up in low 2" block heels or in flats, but all are equally welcome! Happy heeling! Cheerfully yours, Heelfan Onwards and upwards!
Bubba136 Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 Heelfan! Why not let the thread develop on it's own? Why insert a wrench into it in a attempt to send it in a direction you think it should go? As with a lot of threads on this form, they seem to go in several directions at once. That, in my opinion, is part of the enjoyment of belonging to a fourm like this. Hey man, why not go with the flow unless it gets too far off base and out of hand (which, in my opinion, this thread hasn't). Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
Firefox Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 Actually to follow KKFF's glass baseball bat analogy, I do have an extensive collection of shoes, mainly ankle boots perhaps 50-60 pairs. I quite like to look at them as objects of art or enjoy modifying them to improve their wearability, altering the heel, colour etc to achieve the look I like. So that's what I would mainly do with my shoes inside. It's not really what I do wearing them but more what I do with them.

Chris My experience is very similar to Chris's here -- I mostly engage in whatever activities I do around the house, although I'm probably more prone to do things that will involve my having to walk across the house, so I can hear my shoes tap on the ground. Theres no way I'd go out in public -- I just like to walk around and admire them. I usually wear tights, as my leg hair tends to take away from the experience a bit. I always find it very interesting to hear people refer to heel wearing as sensual, but not necessarily sexual, as I had never really heard it articulated quite in the same way. I identify with this particular description. Which is not to say that its not ever sexual -- but, as simply as it can be stated, they just feel good on my feet, and it makes me feel good. A good enough reason as any. -Nate

wheels Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 This week I am planning to redecorate our bathroom. I will be wearing my platform shoes. In these I can paint the walls right up to the ceiling without needing a ladder. And people say they are impractical. Heel thyself Over 50 pairs of heels now on my website at www.geocities.com/wayneheels/
Heelfan Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 Bubba - To the best of my knowledge, neither are you a moderator, although you often have a damn good try, as in your above posting of Oct 17th!
