Trolldeg Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 whaddayathink? I'm going to see if I can fool the airheads at that "fashion"-forum with them..
shyguy Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 looking good, the airheads won't know what hit em. But be prepared for "eeeeeeewwwwwwws" and "like whateva" He was so narrow minded he could see through a keyhole with both eyes. Brown's Law: If the shoe fits, it's ugly
genebujold Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 They look good to me! I wonder how many of the air, er, ewww-heads will ask you where you bought them?
Trolldeg Posted June 28, 2004 Author Posted June 28, 2004 Will be interesting to see how they react. I'm not going to tell them I'm a guy though. This is more to see how my designs fall with the "fashion"-crowd. (As I'm a wannabe-shoedesigner...)
Bubba136 Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 Stunning! Absolutely stunning! Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
Dr. Shoe Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 Will be interesting to see how they react. I'm not going to tell them I'm a guy though. This is more to see how my designs fall with the "fashion"-crowd. (As I'm a wannabe-shoedesigner...) There is actually a lot more to it than just drawing pretty pictures of shoes (as good yours are). You need to know where you can put seams and where you can't, what can actually be made, the colour and silhoette two years ahead and the engineering that goes with your design. Perhaps you should look for a college where this subject is taught, follow your dream- I did and never regret it. Dawn HH Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 Trolldeg:-) Your virtual boots look awful real to me. Good luck. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
shyguy Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 I want to be virtual and try them on He was so narrow minded he could see through a keyhole with both eyes. Brown's Law: If the shoe fits, it's ugly
Dawn HH Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 Shyguy:-) Z-Z-Z-Z-A-P!!! Now, go and try on your virtual boots. Let me know if you are successful. (I have a very fertile imagination). Tee-Hee-Hee!!! Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
Trolldeg Posted August 4, 2004 Author Posted August 4, 2004 ok, to stick with the new guidelines for picture posting, I'll put these in this thread, though they are not boots...
shyguy Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 excellent work Trolldeg, looked at your site too, good stuff. Those shoes look good enough to wear He was so narrow minded he could see through a keyhole with both eyes. Brown's Law: If the shoe fits, it's ugly
Robert Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 Amazing! Very nice work Trolldeg! They are so true to nature, the laces, the material, the shadows...it's like a photograph. Just great! Robert Boots, fascinating footwear http://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i103/Boots_1956/
Dr. Shoe Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 When I was at college in 1997 we were shown a multi-million pound computer system that was used to design shoes. I thought the pictures produced were realistic but that takes the biscuit for sure! As a note, the machine would also automatically produce patterns and component lists. Guest Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 hey trolldeg, excellent piece of 3d work, I've played with 3d studio before but never got the hang of 'smooth' shaped objects, i've normally played with buildings and stuff... excellent website too, i like your robot and cartoon character in your portfolio. good luck with the job hunting!
Dawn HH Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 Trolldeg:-) Excellent work. You really have got the hang of "virtualosity". Like Robert says---looks like a photograph of a real pair. Very realistic. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
Akev44 Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 Great work, Trolldeg! The "leather" shines beautifully, and I love the extra eyelets on the oxfords. I'd like to own a pair like this... In the meanwhile, beofre I own a pair, I wanted to use both images (Boots and oxfords) as my wallpaper. I've asked you this before, in another thread with virtual shoes, could you render these in 1024x768? thanks!
tightlevisandhhboots Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 Beautiful!!! Just wish they were real... tightlevisandhhboots
heelsRus Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 ok, to stick with the new guidelines for picture posting, I'll put these in this thread, though they are not boots... I like these oxfords. Really a shame they aren't real.

JeffB Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 Trolldeg: the level of realism in those pictures you posted is absolutely mindblowing! I'm amazed with your skill! I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
Gayle Gold Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 They didfn't fit me. Can you design any mega-platforms in my size which is a UK 6. Don't understand the technology bit. Maybe I can get this kit and design myself a virtual man. GGxxx
Shafted Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Trolldeg, I was wondering if you could send me some of the geometry files for your virtual footwear, I'd love to try them on some of my CG female models sometime and post them to the board?
