Every now and then my feet need relief so I tend to dangle my pump on the end of my toes. Not just pop the heel out, but let it hang nearly vertical. Is this inappropriate?

Depends on the where and what your doing. How often? (And how smelly your feet are---just kidding) But why are you wearing heels where you need relief in the first place?

At the office, it's real slight with my heel barely out the shoe. But then I really let it dangle a lot further (not sure if it's just too far) when running errands such as waiting on an oil change, or waiting room at doctors office, happy hour, airport, etc.

Practice, practice, practice. Then more practice. You'll get it, we Californians are resourceful ...LOL

Dangling heels is pretty common. So go ahead and don't worry about it.

Dangling heels is sometimes seen as provocative but if the rest of your demeanor isn't sending that signal, I wouldn't worry about that either.

I personally don't dangle because most of my shoes have heel straps, and because my right foot is a half size smaller than my left, and so I usually have to wear a footsie on that side.

In my opinion it looks sexy.  I wouldn't think inappropriate though.   I rairly dangle though since most of mine have ankle straps.

Thanks Charlotte. Just wasn't sure if I had it dangling at the very end of my toes hanging on for dear life would look right. LOL!

Shoe dangling, like a number of other has a rather large following.  There are a number of web sites and blogs devoted exclusively to the art/habit.  Perhaps if you are really interested, you should check these sites out.

Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
