The weather is going to break very soon and Im going to pull out my ' supertruck '. ;)

I call Pleaser/stripper/pr0n/hooker shoes ' Jackstands ' as thats what they resemble ( to me ). So.. Im thinking of putting said ' title ' to a test.

What Im planning on doing is lifting the truck with a jack and putting a pleaser-hooker shoe under the rear axle and lowering it down to see if it can genuinely act as a ' jackstand '.

Im going to do this on the REAR axle. The vehicle weighs 2780lbs with 60% of the weight being in the front where the engine and transmission are.

If you had to place a bet, do you believe the ' jackstand ' will take the weight?

Im going to take pics and maybe a small video of the vehicle being lowered down ( slowly ). Im probably going to glue/adhere the shoe to a base of somekind so it doesnt tip over as well as chocking the other 3 wheels and putting a ' safety ' measure of hard foam under the frame in case the shoe breaks.

Will it take the weight or not?

Place your bets! ;)

No.

I think it can based on how the force is distributed. Most of the plats I've seen use a ribbed structure so weight distribution will be critical.

This is why Im going to secure the shoe to a 1foot by 1foot base of plywood by both parts that hit the ground. It will give it some rigidity and prevent it from falling over.

I honestly dont know if it will work or not. Just checking a theory to see if it will work and to see if the namesake is true of not ;). It will be interesting either way :D

Highly doubt it although I did see a  - - -OK - A rather overly large woman in a pair last weekend.

There is no way she could have seen her own shoes, and frankly, I'm not sure how she could put then on, Based on your GVW of your truck, and guessing the weight factor of the back end of it, I would have to say that the truck weight far exceeds hers. The shoes handled her, but the truck - - - not gonna do it.

I would also say that the quality and structure of the Ellie / Pleaser lines most likely exceeded the ones this girl had on - - - just saying so.

Im under the belief ( from fabbing the suspension and what I used for the springs.. ) theres roughly 580lbs of ' dry weight ' on the passengers side tire in the rear. The drivers side has a bit more as the gastank and battery are on that side.

Theres 2 pairs here so I have 4 shots at seeing what happens ( if they do break ). Im still thinking of what Im going to use as a ' catch ' incase the shoe breaks. It wont have far to fall to begin with but I really dont want damaged rocker panels.

I took this into GREAT consideration this morning before I ' went at it '.

I needed an alignment anyway soI went to a local shop. Their machine has a scale to it and found out with an empty tank, no driver or passenger, the vehicle weighs 2695 lbs.

The weight distro is more off then I thought. What most SCAA cars/truck try to achieve is close to a 50/50 weight distribution ( in theory ) and I thought I was closer to it then I really am ( unfortunately ). I actually need to lighten the front end ( everything is stripped out already. If its not needed, it was yanked! ) or add weight to the back ( adding weight = more mass to move = slower! ).

Basically, 60-65% of the weight is on the front.

For safety reasons, I used the wheel I took off as a barrier incase the shoe gave out. I put it right below the front leaf spring perch so it it fell, it wasnt going to drop that far. I also used 4 chocks on the 2 front tires. I couldnt have ANY movement or it would fall over.

I took 2 pictures so people can see theres NOTHING supporting the vehicle except the shoe and the tire on the other side.

I had to mount the shoe to a 2x4 with a pair of 4inch dry wall screws so it wouldnt tip backwards. I found out the hard way the first time I started lowering it down and the shoe shot out from underneath. I needed something to keep the weight balance on it.

The first shoe BROKE! I believe it was because I drilled out the heel so the dry wall screws wouldnt crack the fiberglass/fibre they are made of.

The second go at it, I used a smaller screw and smaller bit to make it fit a tad more smug.

One of these is going to be my new Avatar! ( eventually ). After I re-do the frame ( coating ) and clean it all up underneath. Its been sitting for 6-ish months in a barn ( literally, a barn with horses and cows.. ) I'll get a better pic of it. ;)

JACKSTANDS! ( literally! ) :D

I would also say that the quality and structure of the Ellie / Pleaser lines most likely exceeded the ones this girl had on - - - just saying so.

I spoke with someone about this. These are ( were ) OLDER Pleasers. The rear heel is all one piece and not wrapped, they were coated. The pair I gave to a family member are constructed a bit differently.

I thought for a minute that I'd stumbled across a lost script for Bill and Ted. ;)  Still, at least you're not just frittering your time away.

Well then - Impressive.

I have a pair just like those - - guess the heel will stand up to my sorry ass.

Pleaser would be impressed with your experiment although I don't think they will like the reference of "Jack Stand"

The oddest part of it all.. I believe theres more uses besides being a ' jackstand '. Im going to try and find a cheap pair of a similar design and see if I can use them on the brush-hog or reaper for doing ' cultivating '.

These things may be ugly as all hell, but there has to be a lot of practical uses for them.

Due to their material/construction, I was going to try and use them as a boat anchor out on our lake.. but they might float ( dunno, have to give it a try ). ;) I'll have an answer on that one when the lake thaws and I get the smaller fishing boat ( 10 foot tin tub ) out there and see. The lake is man made and only 26 foot deep.

Its all in good fun. :D . I know some people might be miffed, but its proven true. They really can be ' jackstands '. ;)

Im thinking a pair of vinal/pvc crotch boots could be good for straining larger vats of tomato sauce. :D

Why not use a pair of latex thigh high boots as short hip waders - - You wont slip in the mud once the heel is set.

I loved this bit of experimentation. I suspected that the platform section would hold the weight but I was surprised when I saw that the load was placed at the top of the heel. This was entertaining. Thank you I also dig the Bill and Ted reference, Megan.

Life is short...  Wear the bleeping shoes!

AZShoeNut : Its all in fun. I sometimes have a ' sick ' sense of humor to me and well.. I just decided that maybe these things could in fact be used as jackstands. Turns out, in some instances, it *is* possible.  Just the same as a bunch of 4x4's or a cinderblock or whatever.

Are there some ' platforms ' I believe are ' ok '. Sure. Once that 1inch is crossed though.. its ' fetishware ' IMO and not really anything I would consider classy, elegant or even ' nice to look at '.

Ive found uses for old guitar parts. I turned an original iMac G3 into a fish tank ( many people did actually ). Ive seen gutted transmissions used as mailboxes..

Theres entertainment and creativity to almost anything and even some humor now and then.

A pair of ' jackstands ' I do like... Nice dress, leather jacket.. Outfit just has this ' attitude ' that fits. Its not really whoreish.

Kinda funny, but when the SO and I were decorating the christmas tree, I found it much easier in the tallest "Jackstands" I had. I also found reaching the top shelf in the kitchen easier in heels.

Pretty cool there, my friend. In fact, your little experiment reminded me of some of the wild and crazy things Adam, Jamie and their crew does on Mythbusters. Science at work! HA!

I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!

JeffB :

One thing is for certain and its well known by ANYONE whom watches porn : Those ' pleasers ' are seen on all the ' porn stars ' and ' dancing poles ' around the states and have a very bad stipulation of making the wearer being implied to ' cheap ', ' trashy ', a ' slut ' or a ' corner worker '.

Its tough to find heels that actually work for men. They arent made for us to begin with and finding something that says ' im just normal ' is one thing, but to just say ' F-it! You will all accept that I wear these shoes.. ' and to not expect people to laugh.. Whatever happened to earning acceptance or our way?

I probably hurt someones feelings for saying the obvious, oh well.

I decided that instead of using the ' stereo-typical ' type of classification, I would make something based in FACT.

The ' Pleasers ' I used for the experiment are in fact used as ' jackstands ' now. Ive used them on a golfcart, ATV's, riding mower and other lighter items around here. Those shoes arent slutty, cheap, trashy or even FUGLY.. they are ' useful jackstands ' with the science proving it ;) .

If someone doesnt like the term ' jackstands ', they need to disprove the fact that they arent used as such by myself ;) .

I find the term jackstand as a truthfui term as not everyone whom wears those shoes are actually trashy, cheap, involved in poledancing for a living, a porn actress or living with a mattress tied to their back working corners.
