Rockbass19 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 This was posted by Motley Crue/Sixx AM bassist Nikki Sixx on Facebook today. This is his previous band "London" before he went on to Motley Crue. Look at those heels!!!
AZShoeNut Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Ya, no kidding. Those are not what I consider super masculin heels either. Kewl! Life is short... Wear the bleeping shoes!
Shafted Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Skinny heels, I love it! They wear them well, but then their stage persona were a little extreme. They weren't afraid to push the envelope. Shafted, the boots that is! Impala Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 i would say, time to reintroduce this trend! (but i don't think my band members would really accept me doing this) I could walk on sunshine, but I chose heels instead.
Rockbass19 Posted March 28, 2013 Author Posted March 28, 2013 i would say, time to reintroduce this trend! (but i don't think my band members would really accept me doing this) You might be surprised. My band members were totally cool with it. They were so much more accepting of it than my wife! However, I don't think I'd want to play in the 4 or 5 inch stillettos all night. I play in a cover band that usually is out for 6 or 7 hours (including set-up, sound check, and take-down time). That would be too painful.
Shafted Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 You'd be surprised. It only takes conditioning to be comfortable all day in high heels. 4 inch stilettos are my day to day wear. The right shoe will also make a difference. Shafted, the boots that is! Impala Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 We are 3 metalheads, with a love for metal shirts and a heavy look. Heels wouldn't really fit in our image. I could walk on sunshine, but I chose heels instead.

Suit yourself, but it is really what you make it. Why can't one be a metalhead off stage in heels? Shafted, the boots that is! ilikekicks Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Suit yourself, but it is really what you make it. Why can't one be a metalhead off stage in heels? I can be one onstage sometimes ( depends where were playing and whom Im playing with ). Nothing like belting out ' trapped under ice ' whilst in the wedge boots. REPEATEDLY ARGUMENTATIVE, INSULTING AND RUDE. BANNED FOR LIFE.

It wouldn't really work out well. http://metalship.org/archives/groupes/groupe479.jpg http://i500.listal.com/image/2454676/500full.jpg I could walk on sunshine, but I chose heels instead.
ilikekicks Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Dime wouldnt do heels.. I bet enough Jim Beam and Jack could convince him otherwise though REPEATEDLY ARGUMENTATIVE, INSULTING AND RUDE. BANNED FOR LIFE.
canadianbeaver17 Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Some Motley Crue: http://www.torrentsland.com/upload/preview/images/music/5/7/2/0c5f28acdfab22b71a32da4da418e980.jpg
Impala Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 mötley crüe really can't get enough of it! I could walk on sunshine, but I chose heels instead.
Impala Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 What do you guys think of this pic? Ronnie James Dio! m/ https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/537129_536107159760818_391287886_n.jpg I actually really like the look of those boots. They're not that high, maybe 2 inches, but they seem fun to wear. I could walk on sunshine, but I chose heels instead.
Curt Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Awesome leather pants! I'd wear those with my kneehigh high heel boots. Ronnie james dio. R.I.P. Ash.
antha Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 My metal head outfit is, my chemical jacket, metal t-shirt (black of course) skinny black jeans, and 3" or 4" heeled dull black leather boots. I wear the 3" heeled boots with that lot shopping, out for the day in London or similar, cinema. It's not unusual to get a positive comment on occasion either. I reckon the Metal/heel look works really well if you get it right, although mine's less of a glam thing and more of a fusion of era's, well er maybe.
Impala Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Look at this! The seconds after 0:20, take a good look at the shoes of Cliff Williams, the bass player on the right! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5XGYdq0BA8 Rock and Roll, and heels! Manly boots with a nice big heel. (And I found this funny picture, nothing to do with rock and roll, just a funny joke) http://global3.memecdn.com/you-came-to-the-wrong-neighborhood_o_1587617.webp I could walk on sunshine, but I chose heels instead.

That would be too painful.my stage getup consists of skinny jeans, chunky heel knee high boots over them, some king of cool shirt and a leather jacket. pretty muchh like howard leese from heart dresses in 1977-78. and probably the cool boots nancy wore. they had it all going on with the leggings and tall stacked heel boots. sorry to give you guys a whole 70s glam history lesson.
barney15c Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 This picture just fits into the subject as it was taken in 1980 (even thought Slade were predominately a 70's band). Anyway Guitarist Dave Hill from Slade in a pair of what looks like 4in heeled boots. In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king!!!
Impala Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Very nice! I could walk on sunshine, but I chose heels instead.
dww Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Dave hill from slade wore heels quite a lot back in those days. Noddy Holder did as well but not as often. life is not a rehearsal
