This was posted by Motley Crue/Sixx AM bassist Nikki Sixx on Facebook today. This is his previous band "London" before he went on to Motley Crue. Look at those heels!!! post-19656-0-29746200-1364437784_thumb.j

Skinny heels, I love it! They wear them well, but then their stage persona were a little extreme. They weren't afraid to push the envelope.

Shafted, the boots that is! View my gallery here http://www.hhplace.o...afteds-gallery/ or view my heeling thread here http://www.hhplace.org/topic/3850-new-pair-of-boots-starts-me-serious-street-heeling/ - Pm me if you want fashion advice or just need someone to talk to.

i would say, time to reintroduce this trend! (but i don't think my band members would really accept me doing this)

I could walk on sunshine, but I chose heels instead.

You might be surprised. My band members were totally cool with it. They were so much more accepting of it than my wife!

However, I don't think I'd want to play in the 4 or 5 inch stillettos all night. I play in a cover band that usually is out for 6 or 7 hours (including set-up, sound check, and take-down time). That would be too painful.

You'd be surprised. It only takes conditioning to be comfortable all day in high heels. 4 inch stilettos are my day to day wear. The right shoe will also make a difference.

We are 3 metalheads, with a love for metal shirts and a heavy look. Heels wouldn't really fit in our image.

Suit yourself, but it is really what you make it. Why can't one be a metalhead off stage in heels?

I can be one onstage sometimes ( depends where were playing and whom Im playing with ).

Nothing like belting out ' trapped under ice ' whilst in the wedge boots.

Awesome leather pants! I'd wear those with my kneehigh high heel boots. Ronnie james dio. R.I.P. Ash.

My metal head outfit is, my chemical jacket, metal t-shirt (black of course) skinny black jeans, and 3" or 4" heeled dull black leather boots. I wear the 3" heeled boots with that lot shopping, out for the day in London or similar, cinema. It's not unusual to get a positive comment on occasion either. I reckon the Metal/heel look works really well if you get it right, although mine's less of a glam thing and more of a fusion of era's, well er maybe.

Look at this! The seconds after 0:20, take a good look at the shoes of Cliff Williams, the bass player on the right!

Rock and Roll, and heels! Manly boots with a nice big heel.

(And I found this funny picture, nothing to do with rock and roll, just a funny joke)

my stage getup consists of skinny jeans, chunky heel knee high boots over them, some king of cool shirt and a leather jacket. pretty muchh like howard leese from heart dresses in 1977-78. and probably the cool boots nancy wore. they had it all going on with the leggings and tall stacked heel boots. sorry to give you guys a whole 70s glam history lesson.

This picture just fits into the subject as it was taken in 1980 (even thought Slade were predominately a 70's band). Anyway Guitarist Dave Hill from Slade in a pair of what looks like 4in heeled boots.

Dave hill from slade wore heels quite a lot back in those days. Noddy Holder did as well but not as often.

life is not a rehearsal
