The Usual disclaimer : If your easily offended or feel you are of the ' politically correct ' type, dont bother reading, dont complain, let those of us whom wish to just read something do so freely. Thanks ;) Ive been to some places in heels, but nothing like today. A small background about this event. Recently, In my ' home state ' ( soon to be a long forgotten place ), A bunch of progressive minded idiots decided to go liberty snatching feeling that punishing law abiding folks and making it easier for criminals to hurt people was the best thing to do. I found myself this past afternoon in Niagara Square in Buffalo NY along with 2000+ others at a ' Pro-gun rally '. Im wearing my usual NineWest wedge Booties amongst a LOT of different walks of life. These are all the type of people one would associate with ' manly ' or ' outdoorsmen '. It was a political rally in its undertones and it was about the US Constitution more then anything else. People were mostly in Camo/hunting wears. I saw a lot of strange looks, but honestly, nobody bothered me at all. During the 3 hour period, I did have several of the women whom attended give both myself and the wife quite a few compliments. We even wound up going to dinner with some old friends couple whom we ran into. We went to a local Dennys. Over our dinner, the couple said I wasnt the only guy in ' womens shoes ' ( as she called them ) in the crowd! " I swear there were at least 2 other guys I saw, one with a gothic looking girl whom were wearing womens pumps ". Her husband said the one guy was wearing ( from his description ) Thigh high heeled boots. WTF?!?!?! 3 guys in heels? Now way! Im believing to think this is some kind of ball busting session. A joke of some sorts. They absolutely believed they saw at least 2 other guys wearing heels besides myself. So now Im starting to wonder if theres some kind of like.. ' thing ' with outdoorsmen and high heels. I understand most are into thrills, but with heels? Maybe it was that one of those outdoorsmen found a couple of bigfoots and put heels on them? Maybe bearded ladies are back in fashion? Maybe it was a pair of women whom looked like guys? Theres no ' alternative ' type bars in that area or that would be in full swing at 12noon on a Saturday.. So, Darian asks me if I knew of anyone from this site from the Buffalo Area. BLUEJAY! I think bluejay is a bit older then me and I dont believe hes into the whole 2nd Amendment thing so.. I doubt it was him. What would be the odds? So.. were gabbing away and the waitress comes over to give us our bill and she notices my boots. " Nice Boots! ". I thank her and she goes on to tell me theres a regular Named Ray whom comes in for coffee and wears heels. After a description of ' Ray ' was given, it didnt sound like the guys our friends saw. So.. I now know, theres Ray + 2 others in the Metro buffalo area, Bluejay, That guy I ran into at the mall whom was an andro-type like myself.. Thats 6 guys in the Greater Buffalo area that I have either met/ran into/heard about in some way/shape/form. Go figure!

Cool news ILK. To be honest, it really doesn't surprise me. It has been slow coming. But it does show what happens when guys wear heels out for the world to see. Some guys only need to be shown how to pull off high heels as a guy. The more of us that are out there, the faster it will catch on. Unfortunately it only takes a few bad examples to set things back. I don't think the disclaimer is necessary in this case, but thanks for the thought.

Great news that more are wearing heels out and about but I am confused as to why anyone would be offended by your post?

High heels are the shoes I choose to put on, respect my choice as I repect yours.

Where safer to wear heels as a guy then a gun event. You are more likely to be armed yourself :ready2rock:

As far as outdoorsmen wearing heels? Not sure. Solestruck has quite a few reviews from guys, but I've not run into many pics/vids of guys wearing the Pix Man style anywhere.

Might be tempted to wear these hunting myself. Posted ImagePosted Image

Wow - That's kinda cool. So far in all my travels, I haven't seen anyone yet.

I know I wasn't anywhere near your neck of the woods.

Question - have you decided on an area to relocate too? I recall you were discussing closer to my area of the sticks.

Thread edited and reopened. Just a heads up gang, I'm going to be brutal about keeping this thread on topic. (that goes for me as well)

Hijacking Shafted's post with the glass half empty instead of half filled...

Bad news ILK. To be honest, it really doesn't surprise me. It has been slow coming. But it does show what happens when only a few of us guys wear heels out for the world to see. Many guys need more than to be shown how to pull off high heels as a guy (there has been an intense fashion communication all over 2011). Cool story. I'm jealous, I wish there were more guys out here in CA that wore heels in public. Have yet to see any, ever... But I will continue to "show the flag" as often as possible!!! It's a lonely life (sigh)... see ya, sf

Im in the process of learning some material to sit in with a techno group for a Rave. Ive been told theres quite a few guys whom wear jackstands and fetish footware to them ( pleasers ).

Thus why I try to stay either casual or what would be considered ' respectful '. I understand a lot of people want to be out there wearing ' fuck me ' pornware on their feet, but it will receive a very negative perception and possibly draw some very unwanted attention. Me? I try to fit in. Basic pumps and wedges when going to events and when going our with friends, I might wear something more ' flashy ', but not anything that would be considered outrageous or ' fetish like '.

Peep-toes - Nope. Slingbacks-Nope. Jackstant-type-platforms - Nope. Basic and simple - All the time.

I believe in the ' baby steps ' type of format. Once people get used to guys in heels, things wont be so bad. If the whole ' Shock value ' hits right at teh beginning like were all a bunch of drag queens.. there will never be any respect for what we choose to wear and people will think its just a few individuals trying to gain attention.

I find it hard that in Cali, of all places, there arent guys out in heels. SanDiago, LA, SanFrancisco.. theres so many huge cities and that state is more ' blue ' then NY ( supposedly ).

Im heading back to that Denny's thursday for dinner and plan to ask the waitress about ' Ray '. See if I can get in contact with him .

I don't gave a problem wearing heels in public. I don't own any flats. Except one pair of running shoes. I have 4 pairs of high heel boots. One pair of ankle boots and 3 pairs of pumps. All of them have platforms except one. Show the world you can strut your stuff! You would be surprised how many women can't walk in heels. More for you guys to wear!

I met ' Ray '. Hes not a guy in heels. Hes a guy whom is becoming a woman.

I find I get more accepted in heels when I'm in girl mode. I would feel funny wearing heels with guys baggy clothes and unshaven. Any pics of ray, just wondering how he/she dresses like and what style of heels.

Ray is.. ' Over 50 '. If you go to youtube and search for ' SNL church lady ', the appearance is VERY similar. Ray isnt into fashion. I can say though, Ray ( Rae ) is a great person and someone whom I will have coffee with again. Excellent discussion/conversation. I dont have a ' girl mode ' though the wife has threatened to doll me up and take me with her friends to a club some night. ;)
