saudade Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Was poking around zappos couture, and well found these: Black http://couture.zappos.com/n/p/dp/71438318/c/3.html White http://couture.zappos.com/n/p/dp/70639281/c/309401.html To be honest they are kinda cool, also expensive, but thats to be expected. Whats everyone think? There are others by dsquared too if you're not a fan of everything above the... blades etc... http://couture.zappos.com/n/es/d/722668339/order_by/age_asc/page/1.html

Dr. Shoe Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Interesting if nothing else. I don't think they'll catch on and I doubt they'll sell particularly well either. Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
Guest Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 "You're skating on thin ice! Dangerous thrills are always part of the exciting scene. Satiate your hunger for alluring adventures with the visual vice of this DSquared2™ boot!" That bit read well until we see the view of the "sole"? I won't be buying on the basis of I can't skate (and in reality they don't) and very definitely that price! Al
Waisted_Giraffe Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 err? what a shame, they started off as a cute pair of boots with a nice brogue style detail.........not sure the skate sole will take off as an idea, however will certainly gain the wearer some serious wow factor even if it wears off quite quickly into looking daft.........and the price! R
Jabble Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Crazy looking at a crazy price. Yet interesting enough though, thanks for posting them.
benno Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Love them, whimsical and fun. Hate the zips though. If you had that sort of money to splash on them, I think you could find the time to lace them up.
bladerunner Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Have to agree with benno here! I just love those suede heels!!!!!
Mike Hinch Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 My opinion also but not just for the skate looking boots. That I think you could find the time to lace them up. Is how I feel about most of the knee-high. Just at the moment I am working on my knee-high spike heel lug sole and that will be a true lace-up. So what is the thing about lacing that makes them so special. Possibly knowing that an hour of lacing means they are on for the long haul just like when there are the two little locks at the ankle. That is another thing that I am considering is a locking band to go around the ankle of the same look and material but removable.
