You just got to look in the right places. I've seen several and we live in the same geological area. Keep trying

I will say that I saw a lot more women in heels in your neighborhood than I will in mine. Wedge heels seem popular where your at.

This morning I even walked in front of students waiting at the bus stop, the ones kneehighs calls "millenials", that were indeed wearing skinnys / legging (I tried not to stare), long fitted Tshirts  and stan smith shoes - same as the girls, but with less colors (white grey black - even mixed with stripes - do not count as colors to me !).

Again. your in a different world,

This is a normal crowd next to where I live. (a suburb 20 km away from Paris). I suppose this is a saturday, because usually you don't see whole families.

On the picture you have the full range of men attires here : Suit (behind the tree)  / jeans+vest+derbies / skate shoes+jeans / skate shoes+cargo.

There are good chances that the day is a special event about the library (opening) with officials, otherwise there would not have been a guy in suit.

The picture is missing the leggings+stan smith+long top+perfecto combo very popular for younger women.

And I hate to say this, but everyone in that picture is far better dressed than what I see in my town - - - except a few who are at work,

With all the things going on today In society as we know it’s not that big of a deal to see a guy in clothes from the female side of the store.  I totally think there is is a double standard that women can wear what ever and it’s ok.  That to me is BS.

I don't see this often, and only on the two coasts, and that does bother me a bit. Once you get away from any major population, what I do see is less interest in appearance by either side of the aisle unless they have too. Stores that would carry nicer styles etc.are disappearing at an alarming rate leaving retailers like Walmart to set the trends locally. There is a difference between Walmart stock depending on where you are at.

I had two wait for seating at a somewhat nicer chain restaurant recently. We watched what people were wearing. Jeans, t-shirts, tanks, sneakers, flip flops, a couple pairs of flats, basket ball shorts, leggings (of which she did not have the figure for by any means)  - - - The staff was the best dressed of all.

In the early Seventies I had quite a collection of paisley shirts and Jesus shirts and plenty of flares.

Had a mother that liked plaid flared pants and a grandmother that liked patterned / flowered / paisley shirts - - - I added rainbow suspenders to it just because.

Rest of my fellow student were into jeans and tie die - -

I looked like a nerdy sportscaster for years - - King of clash - - - But I wore underslung western cowboy boots with actual HEELS for years. Not the short boring kinds they make for men now.

Heelster, here is the info for the Ohio walk:

Shoreline Park - 411 East Water Street - Sandusky, OH 44870 - Date is Saturday, August 4th at 9:00 to 12:00. Click here to go to their listing.

Well that's a really good possibility. I'm a short driving distance away, and there are some decent eateries along water street as I recall.

    PM me if your interested.

TBG hasn't been hangin round lately, but I do see him on occasion. I'll give him the update.

Good luck in your training. Your field has a good potential in and out of the military.

I disagree. Wearing heels on their own is not cross-dressing - technically or otherwise unless you wish to dilute the term to such an extent that it becomes meaningless.

I'm with you on this - I may wear heels and  women's jeans out and about, but there is no way someone is going to see anything but a guy. With my thinning hair, big beard, and proverbial spare tire, It's not happening.

I have participated in the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes numerous times. They used to have it closer to me like in South Bend, IN, Indianapolis, IN, and other local cities. Now if I want to participate it seems that I have to drive further to do so. Great cause and I support it fully. I believe there is going to be an event in Ohio in the month of August, I think. I will probably make that one if I don't find others closer to me.

    Where in Ohio??

If you don't like it, change it. I buy what fits the best, I don't really care about the label. Be a leader not a lemming.

I actually have in a quiet way. Most of my non-work jeans are from the other aisle, along with a few boots I wear often. It appears most don't have a clue. My daughter figured out the jeans, and the boots, but if I keep it tame, it goes unnoticed.

Now skinny jeans and wedge sandals ?? Lets just say I would be relocating from these parts as mine and my wife's jobs would surely be in jeopardy.

Local village has a population of about 2300 give or take. Three family reuniouns covers 90% of the population, and most claim familial ties to the historical Hatfields and McCoys . Heavy on the Trumpster bandwagon. - - - - - Does this give you a mental picture??

I think men just get painted into a corner, or rather allow themselves to be painted into a corner. If an item of clothing, a look or colour, becomes feminised because it’s been adopted by women, men as a group become afraid to go near it fearing that to do so would jeopardise their masculinity.

Yep - and a very large portion of the male population reinforce this on each other, and the wives help. Keeps us out of the women's closets.

    Kinda screwed ourselves - - !!

Not sure because people i do know like my Mom's Neighbour pretended not seeing me as we walked along strip mall parking lot almost side by side yet never acknowledging me with simple hello. Do know the neighbours  with children where my mom  and my little niece live, suddenly after being seen heeling by the gossiping neighbour have intense eyeballs on me when i'm around doing chores around the home. Even the neighbourhood kids are not permitted to play with my niece for some strange reason. Before my neighbour seen me in the parking lot in heels at the strip mall all the children in the neighbourhood played together including my niece.

Believe my gossiping neighbour seeing me in heels awhile ago starting talking. Whenever i'm visiting moms neighbours observed me in only sneakers never heels. Only one neighbourly couple with young child plays with my niece that has no contact with our friendly gossiping neighbour who seen me in heels, coincidence? The same neighbourly mom who few summer's ago seen me shirtless washing the car on driveway as she walked her daughter in a stroller to the park. Her reaction to her husband was Woe, OMG! then chuckled... husband replied to her you like that? As last summer i was shirtless again sticking permits on license plates of my moms car in the summers heat. The neighbourly ogling mom with female friends trailing behind walking from the park asked her. Is this the man you talked about that walks around naked? She nodded saying Oh Yah! While it confused me why neighbourhood mom felt wearing no shirt constituted being described as naked. Either way her kid is allowed to play with my niece for now.

So my heeling does effect my young nieces friendships in the neighbourhood. Who knows what the gossiping once thought of as friend, "neighbour" has told everyone or believes about me. Talk about heartbreaking for my little niece watching  other kids play not knowing why other kids exclude or run away from her.Only  because the overbearing moms told the kids  to stop playing with her, not allowed to visit or have contact with my niece.

Did have hint early on when i washed my moms car on a visit while on the driveway wearing short shorts in summer months and the one neighbourhood mom started chucking upon me. Soon as i heard the reaction i knew exactly what type of woman this is. Add the additional info from the gossiping neighbour of my proclivity wearing woman tight jeans, heels it's way to strange for the neighbour to grasp. Neighbourhood moms not taking chances with her kids to interact with my niece because they maybe in contact with me is so painful to notice.

Stigma of heeling male is odd for suburban moms to understand she rather create division with my niece and her kids. While both sides suffer her children confused and question why they need to keep away only to get her mom angry. While only remedy is buy the latest or best toys gadgets pets for my niece to play with and other kids envious wanting to play also.

    I'm actually not surprised.

@K2inheels Your boots are below the ankle bone (some vendors call them 'booties').  With boots that low cut you likely don't have the option to tuck them in.

My favorite boots go a little bit above the ankle, which makes it a little easier to wear with skinny jeans, straight jeans, or bootcut jeans. I will show you the boots below with both skinny and narrow bootcut jeans (which are skinny from the calf up, and flare some at the bottom)...

I was just at an event with 160 gay males, and I was the only one who spent any time wearing heels.

And i'd venture to guess, most didn't dress as some would expect a gay group too. That's what I find hilarious. All the gay men I know, and I know quite a few, don't dress any different than straight men. I find they dress a bit better, but not different.

crumbs! They are cool.  They are not quite what I had in mind though!  I don't think Anne would approve if I wanted to go out in those boots!

Trouble is where do I get new cowboy boots with a 3 inch heel and if I could I bet they are expensive!

Anyway I am always fixing/making things in my shed including fixing my boots or Anne's heels so it's just another job to make these boots a bit higher.

Plan on shopping the women's department. Hell - I don't buy any boots in the men's department any more.
