If you ever did cut some trees then you'd have a start on some winter firewood. Sounds like you may have a bigger lot. HinH

I have lots of firewood and nobody comes for it. Over 5 acres of woods with Federal Wetlands. lots of wildlife etc.

  2. I'd have to cut trees to get Satellite, and Digital TV - - ain't happening. We have tons of DVD / Blue Ray along with TV series we get from the local public Library.

then changed all our connections to a hardwire system. Using a proxy device also helps keep a lid on all the snooping.

I wish I could get hard wired connections . Cellphone hotspot device is the best I can do out here in the sticks.

  4. Yes I have a Facebook account.

No way in hell I'm announcing I wear heels on it.

I'm hoping the pictures of me on the benefactors  web site from this last summers Walk a Mile event don't show up anywhere related to me.

OK, so dont laugh, this is just getting stupid now. Google once again has written to me to state that this thread contains links to sexual content and is punishing the website for having links to "Sexual material" in this thread, so the only thing left to remove was the link to the YouTube video.

This may have more to do with Apple than Google. Apple has been removing App's from their App Store that it feels has too much "inappropriate" content.

A recent example would be the Blogging site known as Tumblr. It became the home of a lot of very explicit content. Surprisingly, it became the GoTo website for bored Housewives and sexually frustrated women. Also became a relatively safe place for some working women to promote their services. Apple pulled the Tumblr app from it's website for this reason claiming Tumblr wasn't family friendly.

On Dec 17, Tumblr removed any content that could be construed to be inappropriate creating a huge exodus of Tumblr refugee's. All this to appease the Apple "App Lords". Last I heard the Tumblr app is back in the App Store.

Google rarely limits search content unless it's basically blatantly illegal, or could start a full blown civil war. It can limit where it's advertising money goes. Google doesn't want to be removed from the Apple devices, so it may have to be a bit careful in how it deals with promoted content the "Apple Lords" feel is inappropriate.

I've noticed in the past that Google search results on an IPhone may differ from results found on a Windoze computer or anything Android/Linux based depending on the topics.

A revealing choice of phrase - you know these are women’s shoes, right?

I've been buying jeans at the local thrift shops from the other side of the aisle. Two reasons - better fit and better selection.

I had an elderly lady look at me one day and said the same thing  - - you know these are women’s jeans, right?

     - - Yep, I know - -

She looked at me funny, then noticed the jeans I had on, Looked at me again, threw her nose up in the air and huffed off down the aisle.

    I laughed - - just too funny

  7.   - - - - Macy's ??

Went to the nearest one to me just before Christmas. I don't know what Macy's you've been going too, but the this one had damned few heels, crappy looking flat boots, and very little selection. Virtually no staff, and you didn't need to have anyone bring out your size. What was on the rack was what they had.

I like Nine West. Now, the only place to see them in person is DSW.

    Heelster,

Whilst Ohio has six million more people than Wisconsin I read somewhere our state has the third highest registered hunter population behind Texas and Pennsylvania. I believe that's due to the out-of-state registrants mostly from Illinois, Iowa, and Indiana. No, don't stoke any fires but do try yo enjoy yourself8-) HappyinHeels

I've shot skeet a bunch of times and falling pieces of clay were never an issue because of the distance the clay "pigeon" is launched away from you. Funny thought though. HinH

The Deer in Ohio are freakin huge. I've seen so many guys and their trail cam videos of trophy bucks lately - - - It's just unreal.

Hmmmm - - - No wonder women around these parts don't dress well and never wear heels - - The guys pay more attention to the deer then their women.

    Heelster,

What if you could shoot skeet or something cool like that while wearing these?? That might win some converts in your neighborhood. I will say though you would be surprised how many people just don't notice to the point you notice them particularly if you're wearing some type of flared or bootcut jeans.  HappyinHeels

Sorry about the delay in posting

Doing this in a place where they all have loaded guns - - - Oh hell no !!

That’s true.  Bitcoin isn’t a good medium of exchange right now.  And it may never be.  I like to believe it’ll go from collectible to store of value to medium of exchange to unit of account.  It’s still optimizing in the store of value stage, which explains the institutional infrastructure like Bakkt, Eris X, Fidelity, and Coinbase Custody etc. have been built.

To improve it’s function as a medium of exchange, Secondary layer applications like Lighting Network address that.  Bakkt for example partnered with Starbucks and Microsoft.  Eventually they plan to enable exchanging Bitcoin for a cup of coffee at the point of sale (on an off chain secondary layer).

Well - - as I have joked before - - I live in the sticks. Starbucks is 20 miles away, (I rarely go there), Microsoft is just the OS that comes on a computer, and folks still use cash. Hell, I can't even buy good beer in my neck of the woods. I inquired at the local bank if they were dealing with crytocurrencies such as bitcoin, and the response was ""What's that??""

My latest acquisition is yet another pair of clogs (surprise, surprise). In the back of my mind, I think I'm going to avoid wearing boots this winter. This delusion will last exactly until the first deep snow. These are BCBGeneration, model name unknown. They have 5 inch heels with 1 inch platforms. They were incredibly comfortable right out of the box, and there WAS a box, as these have never been worn, but are not factory fresh. See my comments about that in my thread elsewhere on this forum.

    Where did you find those???

I picked up a couple new pairs recently, and they are both a departure for me in that they both have significantly higher platforms than I would normally wear. I think I was sucked in by the price and the sheer heel height.

First up is a pair of Sam Edelman clogs in black, model "Flair." Colder weather is upon us in the Northern Hemisphere, and I'm always looking for the perfect pair of clogs to wear during the winter season. I didn't go horribly wrong here, though I wish the platform weren't quite so thick, it's disguised enough that it doesn't offend my eye. They have 5 1/2" heels, and 1 3/8" platforms, giving me just the right amount of lift at this point in my heeling journey. I have worn these out a couple of times, and I can't tell you whether I love them or not yet. I got my normal size of 8 1/2, and they were a little bit on the big side. The addition of some ball-of-foot pads made them fit just right. The pads are not really necessary for comfort, as there seems to be plenty of padding, but they do make the clogs fit me much better. They are pretty easy to walk in, but not the most stable platforms I have ever known in my life. Luckily, I have strong ankles, so this doesn't discourage me.

Next up is a pair of Stella McCartney platform open toed mules, model name unknown. Frankly, I have no idea why I bought these. They are not really my style, and they are so chunky and funky for my small frame, I'm not sure what they would look good with. Furthermore, I did not realize they are not leather, despite being a high-priced designer brand (more about that in a minute). Like the Edelmans, they also have 5 1/2" heels, but with an even thicker, totally exposed platform of 1 1/2". I will give them one thing: They are ridiculously easy to walk in. We will see what happens next summer. Maybe I'll warm up to them. As a footnote, I paid about 50 USD for these sandals, used, not perfect, but in very good condition, just a few minor scuffs. As is usual when one makes purchases online, I got more ads and auctions for the same thing, and one of these auctions wanted 300 bucks for these! What?!?
