Wow Yamyam
!
I like the wedges very much. I see you wear straight jeans with them.
With such a not so wide leg they fell on the boots. With the blue ones they fell over them a little. I would wear a pair of bootcut jeans as they fell over them so, you don't see much of the heel. Just my opinion
Thanks, Robert. I was wearing skinnier jeans in the photos because that's what I had on when I got around to taking the camera out. I would normally wear wider jeans if I was off out in them. I like the look of bootcut jeans over heels too, but my wider jeans were in the wash

Those are a bit scary! And at two hundred quid, someone must have really wanted them
Never felt the urge to try that kind of thing myself!

They are nice, but I think that they're too spendy for me, sadly
Let us all know how you get on, Big D.

Well, as I promised, here are some more pictures. Sorry you've all had to wait so long, but as we've said earlier, life is a bit busier now that we have each other and the children. But we managed to take a little time out and go shoe shopping together. It's so much more fun with two, you know.
As a little aside from 'shoe news', here's what I'm wearing right now as I type:
I haven't worn these much recently, but they're lovely and soft, so I thought I'd wear them around the house today, and see how it went. They're lovely.
And now, the shoe news:
First up, here's some nice pale blue Kit boots that we bought from Argos Additions:
They're a generous size 8, and even though the toes are quite pointed, they're comfortable. They're leather, and they have a 4" stacked heel. I think they'd go well with a white shirt and pale blue jeans.
Next up, the Chelsea boots that I also got from Argos. We chose these to be work-friendly.
They have a 2.25" heel, and they're lovely and comfortable, even with socks on. They've got a subtle round toe, and look quite subtle. I got really brave with these, and wore them on the second day of a training course. No-one seemed to notice. The second half of the second day was a workshop, meaning I was on my feet the whole time. I wore them from 8am until 11:30pm when I got home. I noticed when I took them off, I can tell you. Oddly, they feel almost flat, so I reckon I could walk to the moon in them.
Next up, as I hinted in a different post, we went shoe-shopping at the weekend. We went to TK Maxx, and had a browse with Julietta. We found a pair of medium wedges, and I did, tho', and in keeping with the practical and subtle look, bought
They're branded 'dita shoes', and made in brazil. The uppers are really soft leather, and they've got a three inch wedge heel. I personally didn't think they were that high, but Julietta said that they were more. They're also nice and subtle, and again, a generous UK8, so I can wear ordinary socks with them if I want to.
Finally, here's an interesting note. Have a look at this:
As you can see, I've put three pairs together. In the middle are some 'boy' boots I bought from Moto a little while ago. These have a 1.5 inch heel on them, astonishingly. The Chelsea boots next to them are only three-quarters of an inch higher! So the transition from one to the other shouldn't be too noticeable. On the other side are my new lower wedges.
So I reckon that it'll be quite easy to go from the boy boots up to the Chelsea boots. I also bought a suit in TKMaxx. I need to get the trouser legs shortened, but I'm thinking about having it altered to suit heels
Don't know if I'll be brave enough to wear that combo to work just yet, but it would be nice. In fact, I might try the suit on with heels, and see if the trousers need altering at all.
Hope you all like the pictures. As before, feel free to post comments, suggestions, and so on. Let me know what you think! Thanks for listening

...If you died them black here's how they might look...
They do them with blue detailing as well, which looks quite nice. On the other hand, I'd wear the white ones with pale jeans and a white polo shirt.

I worked from home in my London wedges today.

I've seen a few pairs of those in Schuh, actually. I'm not that keen on them, I'd prefer the red strappy sandals (on someone else, complete with matching red toenails

Wow! Thanks for the notice, I'll try and check that one out. I missed Halley's comet, but I did see the solar eclypse. This sounds like a good one to see. I might even try to wake our children up for this, although our two need dynamite to wake up once they're asleep.

Francis, it's good to see you back! I was wondering where you'd got to. Best of luck with moving and so on, hope to see you back soon

Darn, Babel Fish doesn't do Swedish. Is there any chance of a translation, Mano?
One of the pictures is really vile!

Barratts have some exciting red shoes available right now. They were pointed out to me by a very attractive young lady with a bit of a thing for red shoes. No prizes for guessing who that might have been

As far as I know, you're allowed to photograph people on the streets, and as long as you're careful about it, you should be okay. As a man, tho', I'd be careful of taking photos of women's feet, as you could land up earning a thump from her (or her partner) before having a chance to explain. I'd either try and be really subtle (camera phones are good for this) or let Julietta take the pictures, personally. I must admit, I do like the streetheels photos more than 'posed' photos. It's the attraction of sneaking a quick look. Having said that, I like the photos on this forum, as they're much more natural than the ones I've seen elsewhere. That reminds me, must take some more photos tonight

Hi Yam
I have noticed recently that when Julie makes a posting, you make one soon after in response.
Is this what its going to be like, you following Julie all the time?
I thought it was Julie who wore the skirts, to show off her heels, and you wore the pants.
Oh well
Jeff
I can only assume that you thought that was funny. You were wrong.

I'm sure I've said this before somewhere, but I like multiplayer games, especially driving games. I have a PSOne, but I don't often use it as I don't like playing games on my own. I love arcade driving games. Some of them are a real challenge in heels, but what the heck! For me, it's about interacting with other people. I miss the interaction with one-player games.

I quite like these, actually. I like the Converse-style ones the best, although I'm not going to rush out and buy any of them just at the minute. I'd like something that looks a little more like an ordinary trainer, personally. I like them because they're really different, and quite subtle as well. It's the same appeal as my J Lo's, tweaking that whole work boot thing. I'll wait and see what happens if they turn up here!

Well, it's a fairly real name, but it isn't what my parents call me. Julietta sometimes calls me 'Yam' tho'

I felt truly free, as if i'd found some wings and could be nearer the sky.

[but then I'm mad
and a bit stupid

Ah, and there was me wondering why you liked me
There is more to life than money! Now that I've seen how wonderful life can be, I'm planning to change jobs to spend more time with my family.

And you can have a name that isn't your real name, which is really reassuring.
"Yamyam"

So I've taught you how to do poor-quality puns now, have I? Oh well, not the worst thing I've been blamed for in my life. [and the strangest thing is, I'm on Julietta's computer as we speak!]
