  1. With spring just around the corner and new heels on my mind I decided to take a chance on ebay and see what they had to offer . Looks like I hit the wedge lotto ! Espadrilles have always been a "shoe in" for a future purchase for me and these have a small platform and just the right height with denim style uppers . BTW the auction was won for $11.50 USD plus shipping and they fit good . With no further adieu , I submit my latest purchase .5a8cd5e95885f_s-l1600NewWedges.thumb.jpg.f3a3c24679b16adb64a35d1312e6d939.jpg

  2. HMMMM , old heels . Yep and they are old by today's standards . I looked in my heel stash and found some dating back to the early 1990's . I wore a size 13 wide back then and weighed in at 430 pounds . I remember ordering those shoes from Sexy Shoes , Rogers City , Michigan . That was about the only place you could get heels for fluffy guys back then . I even found some old Payless heels from the days of the yellow and grey boxes . I will try to get some pictures up soon .

  3. I have a book , "Beth Levine shoes" by Helene Verin . This book makes reference to the "Spring-O-lator" or "Magnet" mules of the 1950s and states they appeared in Glamour magazine in April of 1953 . They are highly collectible . Some other designers like Stella McCartney and Maschino used them in sandals . I have never found proof of the Spring-o-lator in sandals or even seen one .

Pleaser does offer a spring-o-lator mule  . Not exactly my cup of tea . I would love to find a pair like you have posted , just to say I have a pair . I hope this helps and have a great day .

  4. Not sure how you all feel about Pleaser Kiss 209's but I ended up giving mine to Thighbootguy . They just never seemed to fit right . The Pleaser styles put me in mind of exotic dancers and evening companionship , if you get my drift . To the individuals who like them go for it because they do look right on some ........ just not me . LOL ! Great Day Everyone !

  5. Growing up around older sister's and curiosity as to why they liked to wear heels . I had always liked how graceful the women looked in heels . I tried on a pair of my sister's and felt right wearing them . I used to get excited just wearing them and as I get older it's more lifestyle than anything . TXguy , Why do you need to rationalize why you wear heels ?  HappyinHeels has hit the nail on the head .

    Best of luck , MIP

  6. I feel the first question should be :What type of job are you seeking ? Then the footwear should be dress or casual on the conservative side , for most average employment . Then we have Americans spouting off about gender equality , this is simply not true .

For instance there is an opening at Cheat You Right Bank . Both a man and woman have an interview for a teller job . The man would be wise to show up business casual ( Sperry Boat shoe ) . Then the woman shows up in a pair of trousers and 2 inch pumps . The reality is if the guy shows up in the 2 inch pumps he will be struck from the prospective employment list at first sight . Simply because he is wearing heels and could "rock the boat" .  Hope everyone has a great day .

  7. Nice looking ship and the pumps are not bad either . Being a model builder myself , I have never seen a "crisp" paper model built and I must say I bet that takes a lot of practice to get one that nice . I build in "Gods Scale " 1/72nd . I do mostly WWII soft cabs to submarines . Seeing another brother in heels model building is most refreshing . I really enjoyed you post . Thank's for sharing ! Just out of curiosity what other ships have you built and what else do you build if any?

  8. Pumped is spot on with his advice  . You have a full life ahead of you , make the best of it and move on  .Things change and you should always keep this in mind as life moves forward .  Moving forward can seem very hard at times and life is always full of forward steps otherwise we would be walking backwards . I would just get me another pair of heels (or two) . People that drag you down don't need to be in your life .

    Best of luck , MIP

  9. You may also check the store and ask them if they can do a lot locator or order you another pair from the distribution center . I have had them do that in the past and gotten them within a week or so .

  10. Please give some more info . We need to ask if you are going with another person or if you are trying to be scary or what . Since you asked the question in this group I can only think you are wanting to wear heels with your costume . There is always the sexy vampire ( Elvira ) look or bride of Frankenstein . Then as Heelster stated Rockey Horror can never go wrong with that .

  11. I really like the upper detail on these . I bet they are comfortable . The "T" strap styles are always a good choice . I have the same issues with my wife sometimes , so don't feel like she is upset with you , she just may hate the color of shoe for that day . My wife hates certain colors on me ......like yellow . I would love to find some yellow wedges .

  12. It's my prayer you all have desks with front covers on them . You would have to look out for someone looking up your skirt , this could cause a sexual harassment issue . Congratulations !!! OSH has out done the United States OSHA Laws , just out of curiosity at what point does common sense play into work place safety ? Kinda like wearing a hard hat in a steel mill and having a 10,000 pound roll off steel fall on your head , not really going to do much for ya . However you can plan on some OSHA geek checking to see if you were wearing your hard hat at time of death . HAHAHA ! Sorry I find this rather funny and I would rather take my chances with a pair of heels .
