  1. I really like the detail on the closed toe on the sandals in the last post . The heels are proportioned just right to the style . Really nice pair of heels. Makes me jealous with envy !

  2. Going against the grain here , I chose number 3 . The look of the wood and brown shade of the leather look more 70s to me . The suede seems to be a little overdone in my opinion . I have some very close to # 3 and love them . They will look great with flare leg jeans and a tunic . The #1 pair would be my second choice . The buckle and wide straps really set them off . My older sisters wore the Bell Bottom style jeans and tunic with #3 styles all the time .They also wore clogs quite often with wide leg jeans. Check the internet and you will see what I am talking about .

Freestyle75 , at the end of the day it's your choice . I wish the best of luck and glad to hear your health is getting better .

    Respectfully, MIP

  3. Three day weekend and a little time to do some shoe shopping . Had to check out the sales going on for spring and summer . My wife and I went to the outlet mall close by and found another pair of heels for me . She was looking for some close out boots ... no luck as it were .These heels seem pretty well made and fit well . Wish they made them in something besides suede . I had to rain proof them as with all my faux suede . Here is the the shoe I ended up with

  4. To me the black pump is and always will be a benchmark standard . I have a few basic black pumps . They have the rounded baby doll style toe with either a platform or complete wedge like AZShoeNut's avatar pair . I remember my mother and sisters from the 70s to today wearing the standard Black pump . The only thing that has changed is their heel heights get a little lower and mine are not different ..... my heels get lower and the platform gets thicker. Eventually we will all be wearing ballet flats .

  5. I would have to agree with your wife . Being a parent as you already know is about protecting our children ... even if from ourselves . When my children were younger , I kept it to a minimum . I never really made a big deal of it and they don't either . Children learn from adults and that means they react in the same way . Monkey see , Monkey do .

You may think about a "Date Night " when the children are visiting a family member ,  Aunt or Uncle . Maybe even put a pair of heels in the car before the sitter shows up for date night . Make sure you have the date in another town .

You can bet they will find your heels at some point . They will only believe they are moms for so long and then , it's why are they so large ? My son and daughter both wore my heels around the house . This is when my wife and I gave straight answers . My son has even worn my heels to Halloween parties . My children are teens now and we have a house full of children at any given time . My children have had their friends to ask about a pair I have left laying out . They just say , yea dad wears heels sometimes .  I never hear any sas about it and none of the parents have said anything . They just want to know if we ordering pizza for them .  In my opinion most children today are more acceptable of other peoples ways . Today it's not like it was back in the 70s when I grew up . Best of luck . MIP

Do you plan to stop by ? If you are going to be in the Cincinnati area , you will be less than 100 miles from me . I am to the east of Louisville . Send me a message if you are going to be in the area . I would be happy to make arrangements on my end.

  7. Tech , If there was a way for me to get them to you , I would . There are over 25 pair and the shipping would not be worth it . I will ask the individual who gets them to make a donation to HHP .

    Respectfully , MIP

  8. If you are in the Louisville , Ky area and wear size 11-12 women's . Give me a shout . I have over 25 pair of heels free to a good home . Most are in new condition and still in original box . I am not mailing them out so don't ask . If you are willing to pick them up and take all of them . Feel free to contact me only if you are serious . Brands range from Nine West to Hot Tomato .

  9.  My opinion is she may be getting ready to hand you an ultimatum "her or the heels" . What will you choose ? Did you tell her about the heels before or after you were married ? If you told her after , she may think you were not being truthful with her . Before you were married then she should have known . Then why the cold shoulder  when you wear them ? Like the others have stated YOU need to ask her . Remember , there is a reason she feels this way and it's up to you and her to work it out .  If she is anything like my wife she will tell you before you finish the question .

How are things considered in your relationships.

My wife likes my heels and we do things together as a couple . We do shop together she likes to shop for purses and me heels . I told my wife long before I even considered asking her to marry me about my heels . She did ask to see my heels and gave me here opinion on the styles I had . She has even had me try styles I would never have tried without her .We have been happily married over 18 year . I consider myself very lucky . Just my opinion .

  11. I see nothing wrong with an elegant platform pump. If memory recalls ,   Rene'e Zellweger plays Lucy Hill a corporate executive . The name of the movie is New in Town . She is wearing a pair of heels close to Pumpcat's . She looks great with her smart business suit and her heels . She also has several other pair that look great . This is a funny movie .

To your question , Yes I would wear them . The color really sets them off and with the right outfit would look great. In my opinion there are no slutty heels ...... just heels that need to be worn with better outfits .

I just googled it and found it . However here is a link for you. Where can I find 'Closet Heels', is this a site, or a member? closetheels.tumblr.com  . Finally , I got the link to work ,you have to copy and paste into search a engine to get it to work. Not to computer savvy , if you know what I mean . That is why the wrong quote is pasted ... can't get it out of the post either .

  13. I really like the Mary Jane's . You may want to check out Closet Heels , there is a picture of a fellow wearing a pair just like the ones you have . He has done a great job with his outfit to go with them . I hope you have as much fun wearing yours as I do my black patent pair.

  14. Has anyone had conversations with new stranger a female customers while shopping alone?

Be it shoe shopping or clothing while in change room or browsing through the woman's department.

Often i keep to myself but at times  i notice females giving me that look of despise shopping in their area. Once they give me a full scan head to toe, depending what i'm wearing that day.  They figure either i'm shopping for myself or for a female friend. Often then not they are annoyed or disturbed the clothes i'm looking for are for me. Thus they feel creeped out, mind you they may think i'm pretending to shop as an excuse all awhile trying to hit on them.

Any conversations you may like to share about shopping alongside females you never seen or tallked to before be it positive or not.

    Yes to your question.

I had a very pretty lady in a Payless once strike up a conversation with me about my platform heels . She asked if the ankle strap ever cut into my ankle ? I told her they were comfortable and had no problems with them . We spoke about some ankle straps being to loose and causing the sole to "slap" as we walked in them . I was wearing the "Missy" ankle strap wedge . She told me they looked great with my outfit and told me about some other stores in my area that sold large size heels. To say the least , she was very friendly .
