I think they would look great with jeans  and a nice shirt . Then again they may look good with trousers and matching trouser socks .

 Your beginnings sound a lot like mine . I had a sister with a pair of leather and wooden soled sandals much like you described . She caught me in them and said if you are going to wear them ...learn to walk in them so she put on a pair of heels and taught me . Then to my surprise she gave me the pair I was wearing . They finally after miles of wear started to wear out and she made sure I had another pair about two sizes up as my feet were still growing . 

 I was in middle school back then and to this day she still has to show me her new heels and has to check out mine . Funny how we have been doing this for 30 years . I have moved more to platform wedges and she has moved to the lower 2-3 inch heels . We both like the peep toe style . 

 My family all know about my heels and crossdressing . I have been lucky about my folks and the fact they never judged me . My children have figured it out . My daughter asked once "Mom why do you have so many large high heels ?" and she told her they are daddy's . My daughter said can I wear them dad ? I said if you an walk in them . We don't make a big thing of it . The children see it  as no big deal either. I do hear about it if she thinks the style is wrong for me . I will say, when I am wearing heels or crossdressed I am not with the children unless they want to .

I have been shopping at Torrid and found these on sale . I really like the 70s vibe on the first pair and the studded toe on the second pair .  They are a dream to wear . The sales lady and my wife both liked the way they looked on me.  I wore the first pair to a wedding this past weekend and had no problems or discomfort . I can see they are going to get some miles on them already . The only thing to keep in mind with Torrid heels they tend to run larger and I had to go with a size smaller. The second pair are just as comfortable ! I have not had a chance to wear them out yet . I had to get them a size smaller as well. I will say they look great with a pair of black jeans . 

I am not a boot fan however , I do own 3 pair and I must say the Lita's

 would be a style I would wear . Thanks for posting !

I would have to agree with Nine West shoes . I have several pair , high quality for the price. Jim have you thought about purchasing the same style in two different sizes . I have in the past had a left shoe loose while the right fit fine . The sales associate , made a suggestion to try two pair . I walked out with the same style in an 11W and a pair in size 12 .  I just did a quick search and the "Karmen" pump  comes in Medium and Wide .

Jim you may want to check Roman's , Lane Bryant , or Woman Within. to name a few . I have had good luck with these retailers in the past.

Wish you luck and keep looking you will find the right pair ....as Histilleto has stated. 

       First off Al Bundy ? This guy sat around with his hand in his pants and avoided his wife Peg (Katie Segal)  . Not much of a roll model for any creature . 

My hero was my father and all my ideas rise and fall in his standards . He always said equality between women and men will never be even due to the fact men are expected to be the provider of the family and women are to be the nurturer of the family .  That being stated men are going to have to accept women as equals and that means equal pay as well . Women have to accept men are going to be more feminine as gender rolls become more even and this means on a fashion level as well .  Men and women will have to get even on this equality all the way or it will never work and men will have to shed the Armour of masculinity and accept some emasculation as men take more famine traits . Think of this ..... a guy dresses in his heels and the woman gets the door for him and pays the bill at the restaurant . Reality , this will not happen because women still want the Knight in shining Armour to take them out on the town . I would love to have my wife take me out one night and let her take the lead ,my "Joan of Ark " if you will . Just my opinion . 

SF Nice look . So far as feminine sometimes, depends on what I am wearing with my heels.  I can wear clogs and feel confident , wedge sandals  and feel famine , Boots seem to make me feel very dominant . My avatar heels give me a warm fuzzy feeling of submission even with jeans . 

Recently shoe styles seem to be rather boring in my opinion . This fall for the first time in years I declined shoe shopping . My wife asked if a doctor visit was in order or should she call an ambulance for me ? This fall seems to be rather lacking in the styles I  prefer to wear . Time has taught me styles do come and go . There are a lot of "pointy" toe pumps and "oxford" styles with bulky heels . Hopefully there will be more styles to my preference  in the winter or spring of 2016 .  What do you all think about my assessment ? Better yet how many of you all like this years styles ? I would also like the ladies to weigh in on this question as well. My wife says she is kind of disappointed as well .

How about pumps ? Where did that name come from ?

Opinion ? Why not wear platform wedges year round ? I have worn my platform wedge pumps in January and February . I have just about started wearing nothing but wedge heels . Age seems to have a lot to do with styles as well . When I was younger the stiletto was " in "  and as age took it's toll on me wedges seem more appropriate .  I love them, and they go well with jeans. . By far platform wedges are more fun to wear than stiletto heels plus they are less likely to get damaged . The pair of Lunar wedges I have in black and Leopard and they look good with trouser socks and long skirt   Jeff here are few I wear year round . The leopard pair are the Lunar pumps .

The YSL "Tribute Sandal " is still one of the best looking heels out there  . I just can't accept the price ... one can always dream .
