According to my niece , age 25 who barrows my wife's ( late 40's ) Jessica Simpson round toe platform pumps it's just a personnel preference issue . When my wife and I started dating in 1996 she always wore round toe or baby doll pumps . They looked great on her and I told her that many times . On the other hand I have watched my older sisters go from 4" heels to the lower mini/micro wedge round toe over the years . When I asked why they weren't wearing their high heels anymore . They responded they had just lost interest in wearing them . In my opinion it looks like the individuals choice .

Megan , for me it would be to fasten the buckle on my sandal straps . My old achy body is starting to slow down and sometimes just picking up the news paper is a long way down . LOL

I would have to agree about people are not worried about shoes ...unless we can't find the style in our size . So far as Trump or Hillary they both had some ugly shoes . The election is over , time to lick our wounds and move on .

These are close to what I started with . Mine were my sisters hand-me-downs so to say . I must have put a hundred miles on them after she did . I would give about anything to get another pair of them . 

The only info I can share is how I told my girlfriend and my wife of almost 20 years . 

I waited until I was serious about getting married . When there was 110% certainty I was ready to spend the rest of my life with her , I told her before we proceeded any further in our relationship I needed to share something with her , after I did , she just wanted to see all my high heels and see me walk in them . We spent the better part of the evening going through my heels and me doing a shoe show for her . The only thing she said , I need more heels ! We went shopping and I bought her many pair and a ring . She has lots of shoes and a purse collection Vera Bradly would be proud of .  The best advice I could give you : Be honest and don't be afraid . People may just surprise you . Good luck and let us know how it goes . 

This is something to think about . Honestly this sort of thing never crossed my mind . I will have to think about this a little more .

Here are my new platform wedges . These are a little different than my normal styles . Fringe is something I have never tried , time will tell . These were a gift from my sister and sister's are the ever-knowing .  

The title of this thread made me think of some high heel gifts my family and friends have given my over the years . One of the best heel gifts I was ever given was a tape dispenser .  I have lost number of all the "Just the Right Shoe(s) " , phone holders and wine holders I have been given . The one thing most common is they always say " I had a hard time finding your size " .   Funny , I have the same problem finding my size .  My Christmas tree is filled with high heel ornaments and my daughter has to put every one on the tree . Thanks for reminding me of all the fond memories .

According to my wife and fashion guru , one must never wear an ankle bracelet with a pair of shoes with "bling" (studs/glitter) . I would wear it with a solid color pump with no bling .

I usually just give away heels to anyone that can wear them . I have however purchased for my wife in the past just to have them returned for some ugly sneakers . 

Help !! Does anyone know where I can find a pair of heels like these ? I would greatly appreciate any help in this matter .

MMMMM , trying not to discuss politics because that will set people off pretty quick  . Recently I said I would try not to post anything on here and have managed fairly well  ...so far . I voted Trump . Americans have had enough garbage with the last 8 years  of Obama not wanting to work with his House and Senate and vice versa . Frankly , in my opinion America needs to bring the troops home ( promised from first Obama platform ) meanwhile my nephew has been sent into harms way 3 times . Why would America want to go back to British rule ?  Just sounds like sour grapes to me . America needs to clean up it's own back yard and stop being the worlds police . Our national dept is running around $ 168,000 USD  give or take for a taxpaying citizen and Iraq and Afghanistan costs in the trillions .  In other words my children and grand children will be paying off our dept . Just out of curiosity why is it so scary the US has elected a Republican for PotUS ?  Megan , Americans do have the right to vote absentee ballots .... my nephew voted absentee .  Seems a few years back Americans were thinking Margret Thatcher was crazy , however ,  you all made it through as we will . I think we all need to give the man a chance and see how it goes , if well , he will be re-elected in 4 years if not we can vote him out . The Clinton's have dishonored the United States and given away countless jobs and both have lied under oath . This is not the American way . Rant over sorry in advance if I have offended anyone .  I have been "hunting " a yellow wedge or Espadrille for years . The brown pair just remind me of my first pair . Seems like every time I find the style they are sold out of my size or just never make it in my size . MIP

Like I said my 2 cents . I have never worked a desk job and the closest to a "sit down" job for me was driving a truck . We all know the grass is always greener on the other side . 

Here is my 2 cents . If you have to get dirty working in a trade . Don't do it , auto mechanic , diesel tech , maint. tech or plumber to name a few . I am sitting here  typing "pecking" with 2 sore hands from injuries acquired from working in the roll mill and some scares from chemical burns . My breathing is hard sometimes from oil coolants (years ago). Here is a good idea from a crotchety mean ole' guy : learn to like English and sitting at a desk . Working with your back and hands will bring nothing but low wages and a worn out body . Listen to what these guys in here are saying we have been there and one day you will be to . I want to tell you a short story about 3 boys who were best friends from grammar school to present day . One became a Lawyer and is doing great with no issues and one is general contractor and I chose a vocation . I bet you can figure out witch one of the three could not sit at the desk . The Pleaser boots are nice looking . Wise move telling your mother .  I wish you the best of luck in the future and most of all be safe .
