  1. So, any decisions been made about this yet? I'm still keen as mustard, personally. Also happy to change the date to Fri 14th Sept if it suits others better. I spent last friday wandering around the shoe shops of Watford to investigate future heelmeet possibilities there. There was a fair few big names on offer - Next, New Look, River Island, Faith, Dune, Schuh, etc. Their Debenhams only had a small shoe selection though. I did no trying on myself as I had Captain Paranoia on my shoulder all day 8) . I had a few furtive rummages though (oo-er). In Stead & Simpson, i'm sure the female assistant hid herself behind a display rack to keep an eye on me. She's obviously never seen a bloke in the women's dept. before!

  2. If we are expecting others to respect our choice, lets not go on crusades against others personal choices hmmm?

    I'm with you on that.

Although I detest the stupid things, I wouldn't trample on other peoples' right to wear them.

I'm not bothered that Crocs exist - there are plenty of ugly/rubbish/stupid shoes out there after all - I just abhor the sheep-like mentality of the wearers (or the majority of them) who wear them because other people are wearing them and because they are 'trendy'. Exactly as happened a few years ago with those idiotic backless 'slip-on' trainers which were taken up by Jade Goody and her ilk.

  3. A good article in todays Daily Mail (which I totally agree with BTW):-

It looks like the anti-Crocs movement is gathering some momentum.

    About time too! 8)

So how come men can walk down any high street in the UK wearing a pair of £10 garish-coloured plastic "twat clogs" with not a single eyebrow being raised in amazement / amusement?

But just try doing the same in a pair of £200 black leather ankle strap stilettos.

Life can be so cruel and unjust at times!
